I bought my boat on Saturday and my dealer had them attached to a boat. They are made better than i thought so I bought two. Thanks for the videos. They help out us newbies allot.
Bought 4 of these online via Amazon - they work great on my Yamaha SX210. Protects well above and well below the rub-rails. Love the quick adjusting of the straps. They stay in place well, once set/locked. Thanks for your video demo, advice, and will recommend these fenders to other Yamaha boat owners in my area. Regards, Pete.
Hey Rob, I just ordered two as well...I believe life will get a little easier for me with these. I'm new at pulling up to the dock with a jet boat and on to the trailer. If you have videos that could help me with that task or you plan to make them let me know. Thanks for a great video as always. God Bless
They are nice to have.. honestly there really is no education better than practice when it comes to trailers and docking.. I have one video that shows me getting onto the trailer, it's the boat etiquette video. Plus its just a good video LOL..
@@robsyamahajetboatdiymainte4162 Thanks for the fast response! I watched that video as well, nicely done. You pulled up like a champ, I will practice like you said. Keep making these videos Rob, I will continue to watch!
Hey Rob, great video I will be ordering. I also noticed that you have a fishing rod mount on your wake tower. Can you tell me what brand it is and where you bought it? I am interested in adding them to my tower as well. I have a 2019 ar210. Thanks in advance.
The fenders are a great purchase, we love them and are simple to use. It is not a fishing rod holder, it is a flag holder.. The ones you see are airhead flag holders. They come with several spacer inserts for a variety of tube sizes. Pricey but work good..
When you get some time I would like to see a video on your Simrad unit. If you like it if you're happy with it and do you recommend it cuz I'm looking for 1.
Yo Rob What color are the ones in your video? I noticed they only have a few. My boat is midnight black. Just wanted to see if you got the grey ones or almost black. Preciate the videos! Always raw! Always useful information! Keep em comin’
They are great to have, but I honestly think 4 is the ideal number to have. It's always better to have them and not need them. Congratulations on your purchase!!
I’ve gotten a scratches on side of black boat from standard fenders so I had to get the soft bumper covers and no more scratches. Any idea if these scratch black paint? Thanks
I just bought the same Simrad unit as you did. I'm having trouble figuring out where to put the transducer. Are you getting good high speed signal reading?
@@robsyamahajetboatdiymainte4162 on your Simrad unit are you getting engine data like RPMs hours speed if you are what cable do I need to buy and do you know where to get it?
@@kennydimaggio1087 No I am not. That option is called NMEA 2000 and it's a receiver/link between the boat and the GPS. yamaha does not have that capability on the boats yet. I'm hoping they do provide a work around soon Though..
Hey Rob, maybe you can give me some advice, I'm using my boat from a public ramp in South Florida but everytime I take it out I have to drive almost 40 miles north and 40 miles back to store it just because I haven't been able to find someplace where I can flush the motor, all the carwashes around here have those pressure things and I can't use that! Do you know of any type of water pump that I could use to just flush the motor after I use it? something that I can maybe keep in my car? Thanks man!
Hummm... that's a good one. I'm not sure.. I do wonder of there is an attachment that can be bought that could connect to the csr wash high pressure hose and also adapt to a garden hose.. if the pressure is to much then maybe switch to spot free rinse, still has pressure but not nearly as much as regular rinse mode.. good question, I'll snoop around....
Take a look at this idea... not sure how the car wash wands are set up but if the tip is detachable then this could be an option. Just get a hose and connect to car wash and then to your boat.... picclick.com/Male-Garden-Hose-Fitting-3-4-MGH-To-282683535727.html#&gid=1&pid=1
@@robsyamahajetboatdiymainte4162 I tried it, it is not detachable, the only problem is that I can't use that at all because I would need to have the back open and the motor won't start, since it is a water gun, there's no way to put it in, so I'm really loosing my mind this time, just trying to find anywhere close where I can just connect a hose in order to be able to do it. Thanks a lot man
So my Ozark bumpers seemed to scratch the shit out of my Yamaha finish (black hull). Do you think these would do the same, or so you think they are a bit softer? Do you think sand will stick to them?
Rob's Yamaha Jetboat DIY Maintenance I keep looking for it around Colorado. Not here yet. Good to see you back Rob! Maybe you should consider a podcast or a video once in a while where you just shoot the shit about what's on your mind.
Craig, I got them from the Yamaha dealer, but you can also get them on Amazon. They are made by Airhead. Search for airhead wakeboard tower flag holder.. $55 for one on amazon...
Do you think these would work well for a wave runner? (If attached to the dock) Just picked up a 2019 VXR and couldn’t stop at my favorite Mexican place on the water because of the shitty ass dock lol.
Excellent review, thanks for taking the time to do it! Quick question... for a boat that size do you feel x2 is adequate per side or would x3 per side be better?
To me, it depends on what kind of boat you tie up to. Another yamaha then 2 are good, but another kind of boat 3 could be a better option. 2 has been good for me at every dock I've tied off at so far. So it's up you. You can't go wrong with 3!
I will have to disagree with a traditional fender providing protection, if you mount them properly they are fine. With that being said they new ones look nice.
@@robertbartlett5110 Ya i had an outboard as well and I'll admit they are easier to maneuver--at 1st. With twin throttles and practice it's pretty easy.. I can sneak up on a dock real easy now. Congrats on your purchase and good luck to you.. Rob
awesome, im going to order some for mine. by the way buddy my decal replacement came out awesome, i did the wet method with red holographic vinyl and the red came off a little bit. whats you email? ill send you some pictures

@@robsyamahajetboatdiymainte4162 ya i got the blue to match my boat. I still had to pay for them but they had a bunch.
I Just ordered 2. I"ve always had a problem with the old fenders. Thanks for the video.
Awesome Kenny. You are going to love them dude, they are so easy to use and they look sleek. They stay in place really good.
Love your videos Rob! You are so very helpful!
Thank you
Thanks again for a great video and helpful review man!

Sweet dude.. you love these fenders... congrats on the purchase.. !
Good share! Thanks as always Rob!
Thanks Rob. I've been looking for a better fender solution for my Yamaha SX210. These will work perfectly. Will order a set!

Can do but I'll be honest, I'm still learning how to use it effectively. It is loaded with options and the manual is a fricking book!!! Lol...
Hey Rob,
Great video! Do they compress much? Im curious if they would squish enough to fit in the wet storage compartment on the swim deck?
They are a little squishy but I don't think they will compress that much...

Almost black.. they are awesome..
How do these work if you dock you boat for the season? Seen several reviews that they don’t stay locked in and loosen up.
I have nad no trouble at all. The lines lock into a slot on the back side. Mine have not loosened up.

No, I do not. These boats are pretty easy to drive and with enough practice, easy to manipulate around docks..
