Rennie, you did Carlin proud ! You and the team put in the hard work and 9:44.963 proves it ! Thank you for the beautiful dedication. We all will miss Him forever. - Love, Romie
sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me!
Total respect for the performance. Flattest feeling legendary performance and victory ever tho, due to the tragedy after the elation in the clouds... it's the saddest story but you are a good fella and you are being perfectly respectful and sensitive about it. Total respect to you and the team. Good luck with the tough times guys.
Firstly, good onya mate, well done. Ozzi Ozzi Ozzi! I'm sorry about your friend. People shouldn't die doing the things they love, but the things we love can kill us, and that's huge part of why we love them. It's a minefield of paradox, a subject we don't really understand well ourselves, which is then messed up and corrupted by the interpretations and waffle of people who don't even ride, and think we're all nuts. Let me share a couple of lines with you... ... For life this close to death it seems, Is the stuff of life and the life of dreams, And life this close to death (I feel) is life that's lived, Complete, for real. So toss your coin across the night, Where death it hides at the edge of sight, And dare to say you've lived a dream. What hides outside your high beam? ... I'm trying to think what year I wrote that in. 1980, I think it was....
RIP CARLIN ! Pikes peak definitely 1 for the bucket list but dont think after this small teaser the isle of man TT need worry about the greatest show on earth looks amazing mountain 👍🇬🇧
Beautiful video. Thank you Rennie for sharing the intense moments of your race. What a climb! Me because of a problem in my heart, I can not ride thoroughly a bike anymore. So let's enjoy doing the things we love while we're in good health ... I wish you all the best in your passion and congratulations to Aprilia and the whole team for this new record. 👍👏💪😊
Awesome video! Just showing the effort and sacrifices one needs to make to get a win. With respect for the mountain and competitor and humility in victory.... Congrats!
Thank you for this. To see the on board footage especially of the front tire, you see just how sketchy some of parts of the track are. So much skipping around, so much movement from the whole bike itself. Congrats.
First off congratulations on the record fantastic,, sorry for the loss of carlin but hope you are doing the tt in 2021,, you should enjoy the Isle of man,, you will do well get the right bike, good advice,, be safe and enjoy it,, fantastic to watch 😁😁☘️☘️☘️from Northern Ireland greatly appreciated thank you 👍👍👍
I remember watching Rennie Scaysbrook race in a class of his own at Eastern Creek, Sydney, Australia, the bike a chook chaser cleverly disguised as a road racer it always stuck in my mind how accurate precise and smooth he raced. I would love to race on this mountain!
i did not knew Carlin's run was AFTER Rennie's one...!!! so,to me,when Carlin viewed Rennie's time,it was probably in his mind: Aprilia VS Ducati. Carlin probably took more risks because of that Factor-rivalry, and he lost his life as result.
KTM decided they did not want to do another year of the current Super Duke at Pikes as they have a new bike coming out next year. I totally understand that. No hard feelings. It was a good opportunity to try something new, anyway. -- Rennie
I wondered that myself about a year ago. I ended up buying the Super Duke. both bikes are great. Both have their ups and downs but for what I need the SDR is perfect for me.
What's "your" best ? Going fast like with a superbike ? Go Tuono. Going crazy like with a SM ? Go SD. Either case, your trip is gonna be fast and crazy.
Depends on what you like. I really enjoyed the torque of the KTM at Pikes, but the Aprilia chassis excellent and makes up a little for the overall lack of torque. I went faster on the Aprilia, so I guess I'd say the Aprilia ;) -- Rennie

Thanks, Romie. That's very nice of you.
Despite the passing of Carlin Dunne. You earned this amigo. Hope to meet you next year.
Such an achievement! You guys deserve it! Carlin will never be forgotten.

It's an honor to know all you guys personally! Well done brothers!!!
You too, bro!
The cruelty of this sport shows its face too often, but you've made this great little film to also show why we all love it so much. Thanks!

Nice work
Wow, 5 secondes quicker than Chris in 2017. He did 9 min 49,625 sec on the Superduke 1290.
Why did you decide to change from a KTM to an Aprilia?
cuz italian power is better :D
KTM decided they did not want to do another year of the current Super Duke at Pikes as they have a new bike coming out next year. I totally understand that. No hard feelings. It was a good opportunity to try something new, anyway. -- Rennie
Very nice!
Cheers
@Cycle News Do they have a write up of all the changes?
Where's the full raw Helicopter footage?
Why a tuono an not a sport? Was this in class? Sweet ride all the same an congratulations on your achievement.
We had a Tuono because in Heavyweight you need to have a one-piece handlebar as standard.
Ktm super duke 1290r or tuono factory whats the best?
