I would love to hear a ramble about your career, and a career advice video. I'm a history graduate and working part time in retail and it's not what I want to do forever but after covid it's been hard finding a career path. Also, I have always found it interesting how in the US there's immense pressure to move out by like 18/19 and if you're still at home in your 20's that you're a failure. The UK it's very normal to stay at home until mid-late 20's

Also in Latin America most live with their parents past age 20. My little sister is almost 21 and has not moved out (currently in nursing school😊)
As a 25 year old homeowner, I would recommend renting for your first place even if it's just for a year. It will help you get a feel for what you like, what areas you like, etc. After college, I rented for a year before I bought and I'm super glad I did! Also you should definitely start apartment shopping now so you can stock up on things you know you need as sales come up instead of buying it all at once (it REALLY adds up). Good luck!!

Try putting cerave healing ointment on your lips. Carmex has camphor which can irritate your lips ESPECIALLY if they’re already cracking. Any fragrance could really irritate your lips. CeraVe healing ointment saves my lips every winter and I apply like a million times a day. It stays wayyy longer than other lip balms or just oil. It’s basically Vaseline but with extra hydrators. Hope this helps 💚

Apartment Shopping is fun! You should buy stuff already! You know you’ll need towels and utensils and dishes and bedding, Blenders for your smoothie bowls, etc. all those things add up soooo much and soo quick. Even just cleaning supplies- mops, Brooms, dish brushes, etc. When you see a deal on something you like, snag it! I furnished my first place over the year before moving in to it and it’s much more exciting to see what you have piling up. Good luck on the journey!!

Moving out of your parents house is an American thing. Most other people around the world stay with their parents up until they pass. As long as you're all comfortable and helping out each other that's all that matters. One of my aunts still lives with her parents and she's like 40 something. You can also save money while living with them, you can help them out as they age, there are so many things you can do while living with your parents. So don't think that you HAVE to move out especially since it's just you, your mom, and her husband.
Uhm.. The norm where I live is you move out the minute you turn 18 years old. And neighboring countries it's the same. We think of America as where you live with your parents for a longer period of time :p

Coming from someone who was on Accutane for 6 months, use Aquaphor on your lips!! Exfoliate right before you put on chapstick, and consider using a soothing nighttime lip mask (like the Laneige or Wet n Wild one)

I used to have the same problem with my lips for a while I noticed it started happening when I would use Matte lipstick some Matte lipsticks do tend to dry out your lips a lot. I started using lip scrubs once a week and I would also apply aloe Vera as a lip scrub at times and afterwards apply Vaseline chapstick this helped a lot for me!

For your lips, I swear by the Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask. It is a super thick chapstick that you can slap on your lips day or overnight. It is sold at sephora and I think is $20, but it will last you a very long time! It comes in a handful of scents 💕

Re your lips - It's going to seem VERY weird but... - I'd HIGHLY recommend Lanisoh nipple cream if you can get it. I'm a midwife in the UK, so often get samples at conferences etc, and it makes the BEST lip balm/treatment. I've used it when I've had horrendously chapped and flakey lips, slather is on as I go to bed, and wake up in the morning almost completely fixed! It's like magic. Friends have told me it's too weird, but... whilst it's still in the tube, it's been nowhere near anyone's nipples, ha, and it's lanolin, like many lip balms/glosses, but AMAZING. Hope you see this!! x

i bought my first house back in march at 23 with my husband & let me tell you it’s a tedious process and very frustrating but i promise it’s very worth it in the end! It’s so nice to have a place of your own! I definitely suggest buying little things here and there if you see a good deal that way once you do move in you don’t have to constantly be going out and buying things you need! Best of luck in your apartment endeavors 😁

Sam, the Bite Agave+ Nighttime Lip Therapy is amazing for super dry lips! I would definitely recommend giving it a try
My favourite lip balm is Espa Pomolo - the ones that come in the little pots with a mirror. Maybe try that? Elemis also do some great ones. Having said this, plain old Vaseline is good to put on overnight to just give your lips a chance to heal.

Make sure you are drinking a lot of water for your lips, they get chapped and dry if you’re dehydrated. Also I use the bite beauty agave lip mask, it is literally amazing, I use it every night and my lips are soft and hydrated in the morning. It is $20 at Sephora but I promise it is worth it. It also looks fine to wear during the day at work and stuff
Aquaphor for your lips for sure. It’s fantastic. Carmex/chapstick is probably irritating your lips. I have that problem when I wear them, and I feel like those make my lips worse and almost like raw. Aquaphor is a protective balm. I’ve had the same tub for YEARS, and I use it every single night before bed and again in the morning
I’ve had something similar going on with my lips. Specially during season changes. Try The Plant Therapy, lip balms (I purchase the Trio Set) They have 100% helped my lips heal. Good luck!!

Benadryl could help with the allergic reaction. And yeah, I'm 31 and still live at home. * shrug * It works for my family and I. I do have some health issues and require some help, so that does play a role in it, but as of now I'm just not looking to move out anyway. It works for my life.

I’m recovering from covid and ever since I’ve been back from the hospital, I don’t know what it is/was I felt like I was in this trance. My head was wacky and everything felt like a dream, almost like I was hallucinating. But after waking up about a few hours ago I feel a bit better. I was able to listen to and enjoy your video 😭 I felt like I was going nuts, it’s been such a horrible experience. Can’t wait to be able to visit my family again.

My lips get this way too, especially when the seasons change. My best advice is to drink water without a straw and make sure that the water gets on your lips for instant hydration and the best lip product I use is burts bees medicated (if they’re still really chapped, it may burn for a bit cus it contains eucalyptus but it helps so much) or their conditioning lip balm (if you don’t get used to the eucalyptus). Chapstick and most common balms contain petroleum which dry out your lips more. Hope this helps!

Cumin is a huge portion of pretty much any taco seasoning (and most mexican spice mixes) If you've had tacos or burritos etc in a restaurant or at home with seasoning then you've certainly had cumin before. It also finds its way into most curry mixes as well. Super common spice. It's very unlikely you're allergic to cumin specifically... unless she put an extravagant amount in and it was just a typical irritation reaction due to sensitivity and any strong spice causing a problem. Definitely something to explore further. - and if you're thinking of buying, now is a great time. The market isn't super high but interest rates are low. And mortgages are almost ALWAYS lower than rent, since people rent properties to make money on them or at the very least pay the mortgage + insurance and fees etc. Also if you're at all handy, you can upgrade a place while you live in it too adding to the value of it. Also google your state and first time home buyer programs they have. There are a lot of programs for people who make under a certain amount a year (under 70k most places or higher in some) where you can have 0% down payments and very little overhead or fees and even downpayment assistance. If you're smart with where you buy and how much you can afford, buying is definitely a good move, especially now. Bonus of being able to change things you want without having to worry about apartment owners charging you for painting or putting nail holes in the wall etc.

I don't know if you have that brand in the USA but Lavera Lip Balm is the best lip balm ever! I have the bad habit to rip the skin on my lips off with my fingernails and when I put the balm on after that the skin literally comes off, heals and hydrates them so you won't see it even anymore the next day. It's with Shea Butter btw, so maybe that's the key? Or when I use a face mask I always put the ahava hydration mask on my lips as well and my lips get so hydrated!

First of all, I love your channel - I just found you and I have been binge-watching your True Crime videos! Second of all, the more you talk, I'm finding you and I have a lot in common. I am also 24 and still living at home with my parents. I am also looking into moving in the next 6 months or so...and torn between buying or renting. I am thankfully debt free - so blessed! AND, one of the last times I rode a horse was in Grand Turk and we rode through the ocean - that was so much fun! :) My dad actually fell off...poor guy, but he took it in stride. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello - it's cool to see how much I have in common with someone I enjoy watching. :) Have fun on your trip!

I love watching your videos. Just wanted to say something some one said to me once. You mention you want to find a place closer to your job. You should find a job close to you hose not a house close to your job. A house/ apartment is a long term thing you also mention early in the video that you might change jobs in the future so keep that in mind. I hope you can buy your place. You inspire me so much.
Buy a tiny house (on wheels) and rent land. You can keep your forever home but move it wherever you want. It can be titled as a travel trailer and financed as such, so your "mortgage" like 5-800 bucks, plus whatever the land rent is. You have the option of being off grid and you'll only have 3-400 sqft to keep clean🤗
