- Today we look at Whipple's claims of 800 RWHP on "pump gas" making some claim the 24 mustang is not a dud but at always we decompile the proof and show you that the 24 mustang at 13+ psi and high octane fuel performs the same as every other coyote on the planet.

Sounds pretty typical of these companies, advertise a certain HP number, but add a bunch of other mods to get that number, leaving people who didn't actually read the article thinking their car will run that HP number because they didn't read the fine print.
Exactly my point.
Of course. They want you to buy those parts also. Bait and hook. 🪝
I agree, that’s why they add “*” to everything anymore. It sucks.
@@RadDadisRad Its like the Cold air + Tune, you have no idea what gains you're getting out of the CAI, because of the tune. Which is probably close to zero. The tune is doing all the work.
@@Smasher-Devourerno the tune doesn't do all the work. A tune is needed with any real intake aka one large enough to actually help you. It ain't gonna do alot for you on a stock car. With a ported mani or ported cj and long tubes the intake is gonna help alot more. It'd about the overall combo.
13psi on 93 is how that same tuning company blew my motor! It took a new motor and Lund to tell me that 13psi on 12:1 is not acceptable.
People don't seem to realize that high compression requires higher octane fuel to make power. The DI system helps a little with spark knock, but only to a certain point. Most high compression race motors run on race gas or E85. Gen 3/4 Coyote is no exception.
Gen 2 car of mine a few years ago with a kenny cuck tune made 725 on 93 and popped the top off the pistons@@Smasher-Devourer
I run 14 psi with an Odin and an 88 mm pulley. On E85 it dyno’d around 730 WHP. On pump gas it’s around 670 WHP. Which is well within the realm of safety.
I’ve never heard of an issue with anyone running 13 or 14 psi on pump gas. If timing is conservative, i don’t see this being an issue.
@@guthrie_1 why run 14 psi on pump at all? I made 690 on pump with octane booster at 11 psi. If you’re pulling that much timing to make it live I don’t see the point.
@@douglasm3310 Because it’s easier than swapping pulleys every time you want to switch from E85 to pump gas. You flash your E85 tune with around 20° of timing, and make around 730 WHP. Then when there’s no E85 around, you flash the pump gas tune with around 16° of timing, and make roughly 670 WHP.
These dyno numbers were on a humid 90° August day, with catalytic converters. Since then the cats are gone, and it’s a 30° winter day. So I’m not exactly sure what it’s making right now but it’s been perfectly fine for the last two years and 23,000 miles of abuse.
In your scenario, you can’t use E85 to its full potential with only 11 PSI. You would have to swap your pulley. I’d rather have more boost, and adjust timing to whatever my fuel’s capability is.
Also, I found it hilarious that Mr. Lethal was at PBD when just a few months ago that same guy was on a video all chummy chum with Rob (fat ass) Shoemaker when Rob was opening his own tuning business. Jared is the quintessential used car salesman!

Hahaha 💯
Yup 😂
I live in NJ and Back in the day they would ask if you wanted your oil changed and there was a time when they would just pop your hood and check fluids while the gas was being pumped. That all stopped about 35 to 40 years ago..
I believe only the stage 1 kit offers the warranty.
I have a stage 1 ordered and once it arrives at my shop for install, they will be doing a write up and video. My car will be bone stock outside of the blower. I’m optimistic that it will hit 700 wheel, but realistically I don’t think it will get there on 93. Being a VP dealer I will take some octanium to throw in after the initial numbers are done to see what difference it makes.

But why. Lol

Yeah people are afraid to challenge the aftermarket parts people.. Example I listened to people at CJ pony, Steeda, and American Muscle.. I was told to put a Steeda Trans insert in and a Steeda body mount for the MT82 Trans/Shifter.. I did that and the car shakes and vibrates horribly now.. I called Steeda out and left a bad review and they took it off their website.. I can't even see my review!? They don't want anyone to see the 1000's of complaints about just how bad the NVH is on their website for people to see. For me it's the noise I can't handle.. It's way over the top.. Soon as I hit 3000 RPM it is super LOUD inside the cabin of the car.. The sound coming from the center console is out of control. And all I did was Steeda trans insert and a Steeda shifter body Bracket. First I am going to take out the trans insert and see how that feel's.. If it's still out of control, NVH... I am going to pop it back in then take out the polly bushing from the Steeda Bracket n then use the stock Rubber bushing with the Steeda Bracket.. Seriously not happy with Steeda so far.. (The 35lb clutch assist spring was the only thing that they were right about and actually made things better so far..) I think there's a lot of PPL out there right now that hate admitting when they are wrong! More than Ever we have a ton of these 2+2 is 3 people!!!!
Anyway most people throw in a new part and then right away do a vid and go on about how great it is, without really testing it out over a 1 month or 90 day period, to give us real opinion on the part and how it works, helps, or doesn't help...
First thing I did when I got my 15 GT was a catch can, when I traded that for my 2020 GT/CS the first thing I ordered was a UPR catch can. It’s a just something every S550 should have honestly.
What about the Gen 2 Coyote's and Boost? They aren't 12 to 1? how do they handle the boost??
I’m surprised they haven’t used the dragy device on this “800whp” monster 🤔
Total Bullshit numbers. It’s funny how these parts companies are the ONLY ones saying the S650 isn’t a dud!! let’s see what it does on the track
Of course they're gonna say that. They're gonna be in denial and pretend it's improved over the last model the way it should be when it clearly isn't. They'll do whatever to keep all these crazy s650 owners happy and lining their pockets for parts lol...
With all that being said. I’d really like to see a gen 6 whipple on a gen 2/3 with like 20 psi and see what it does.
Aren't the new Coyote design oil pumps internally cog belt driven?
1:10:46 agreed. NA car with basic mods and e85 and can’t believe how much my catch can picks up every ~500 miles
I have a 21 Gen 3 and they updated my rotor pack to a Gen 6 on my Whipple so I'm interested to see the difference. If any.
This should be interesting. Please post results
@@Spad68 I will 👍 it's going on a Gen 3 Aluminator.
What about the 1960’s 427 SOHC Cammer? Talk about Lineage!
They do the same shite with cold air intakes.. They will lie and tell everyone they will get 10 more HP.. When the truth of the matter is the extra 10 HP came from dyno'ing the car with the Hood up, with fans all over it. Are there a few that help make an extra 5HP without a tune yeah. But I have learned that lesson over the years the Stock air box is usually the best with the hood down driving..
They pulled the cats out. It's already Illegal and without a warranty! I already know if you want to keep your car legal and on 93 pump gas, most importantly Safe, at best your only going to hit 650 wheel.. I'm ok with that though.. I am 400 to the street stock. If I can get to 650 and have it run like a normal daily safely without worry of it blowing up, and still pass inspection every 2 years, I will be super happy.. I want a stage 2 Whipple with a Stage 1 tune.. I have also been looking at the Ford super charger that's in the GT500..
Anyway I don't want a turbo set up or a Turbo Blower.. (I don't know what's the best or worst for these cars, Just bought my manual 2017 GT 3 months ago with only 8,909 miles on her..) I want the best screaming screws I can get at the lowest price??? ((Oh I also live in South NJ so who is the closest to me that can do a Super charger install Professionally?? If anyone knows who to go to please let me know thanks??))
Alex is dead on!! Coyotes max on pump gas 93 is 10psi! It’s the wall and that’s it. If you fuck around over boosting the engines you will run the crank over meaning the fucking rods will say good night.
Alex, talking about catch cans. I know you need one on the dirty side but if I'm planning on running the Whipple 3.0 on the coyote, do I need to run dual catch cans or just stick with one?
I know where those stainless steel ball bearings came from. Most likely the engine machinist used AMPRO stainless steel media blaster to clean your block and whoever assembled it didn’t clean out the passages in the block good enough and unfortunately got your engine that’s what happened.
Alex who can I take my car too in South Jersey to super charge it to last? I don't care about number's?? Honestly I already know 625 to 650 is the most I am going to get with Stock header's/Cat's and inspection legal on 93 pump.. I have a manual too so I will need a clutch too and people on line go back and forth about them too.. I want my car to drive like it came from ford that way. I want something that will last me and drive smoothly??
AM pushing 🅿️
Alex I got 3 mattress firm ads on this video
As far as the "warranty " the better question would be will Jared from lethal offer a warranty for owners that go out there and try to replicate what HE advertised and they blow up their car?
This is a interesting point . And you know the answer. It's a sure fire no.
Jared charges automatically "shipping insurance" whether u like it or not. Jared ain't giving nothing for free. It's all about the "almighty dollar"
We need a Lund vid of a 2024 car with this Whipple and show people the fucking truth.
I figured oil consumption issues was normal for high compression, high revving (above 7500rpm) engines. My old bike and my civic (8200rpm capable stock and 10.5:1) and they ate up oil like it was gas even though compression and leak down tests were/are perfect. So seeing coyotes eat up oil is normal to me. Just check the oil level every 1500mi.
Check the oil level every 1 or 2 fill ups is what I would do it's easy and no reason not to
Builders and venders attempt to keep their issues on the low to keep their sales up. Seen it several times. I like hearing the real on these folks.

No higher than 10 psi ok pump gas unless you want problems.
what problems specifically ?
@@Twentyfoursilver detonation. Typically pump gas tolerates 10psi on a 12:1 coyote.

You can respond in two ways like a normal guy or a Ding Dong. Looking forward to it. Also if I misspelled or my grammar is bad, it’s due to voice texting.
Excuse me for that.
The issue is this, Nobody, i mean NOBODY that has any credibility would allow customers to believe 800 RWHP on 93 is attainable, All you'll have is people with blown motors. Since the beginning of time, 10 psi is the limit on 12:1 pump gas coyotes. So if octane booster was used IN ANY OF THESE TESTS, IT's simply misleading to say "pump gas". A realistic test is to have a bone stock 24 with a whipple gen 6 on 10 psi peak and pump gas. Because anything past 10 psi you get burned up cats, Crazy knock sensor activity, and broken ring lands without "high octane fuel" also a CARB Eo legal kit Being put on a car with OFF ROAD exhaust and touting 800hp on a non catted car and high octane fuel, is misleading as fuck. So a realistic outcome is more desirable and this test is FAR from realistic. It's overly optimistic. And once a customer buys this kit on his stock car, with cats And 10 psi, and dyno's it and makes 650 RWHP, hell be left scratching his head why his car did not make 800 RWHP. It's wildly irresponsible sales tactics. And i'll call them out until the end of times.
