Your engine bay came out beautifully spraying the Molotow chrome. For your wheels I suggest spraying a thin layer of chrome on a paper plate and dipping the wheel onto it so the chrome doesn't run into the wheel slots. Have fun with your toys!
Thank you David. Molotow is great stuff. Thank you for the tip, I'm gonna try it on another Superfast I'm doing at the moment. And yes, too many people forget that at the end of the day they are toys and should be about fun.
Inspirational metamorphosis PB, you're a genius! Next time, can you show us how you rehabilitated the plastic windscreen/windows? I'd really like to see how you did it. Thanks again! Mike
Lol using lockdown productively I see. Forever indebted to you and Gerard for the cars, and if you would ever like any of them back, please let me know.
I love that you used the windows even if there are some cracks in it. Now, even with mint paint and new bonnet it still tells a story of a beloved toy. ♥️👍
Nice paint job Peter 👍 If you get the chrome in the holes on the wheels, I've found that it's easiest to remove the extra with a sharp wooden toothpick
Hey, Peter! I had a really great time watching you work on the Capri. It's one of my favourite castings, and I did the same one on my channel. It's special to me because it was my first car, which I drove as a 17 year old. Good times. Yours came out great, trials and all. Always fun to visit here for each new upload. Have a super weekend! 🍁👊
Hey PB, Sweet turn around for the ol' tina. I.ve seen that SMS paint in my model magazine's but haven't seen it in Tassie so going to have to look into it a bit further. I like how that stuff sprays. Awesome work yet again. Cheer's Tassie John
Sweet Capri! We found a box of old cars in flea market and bought whole box home, my son found a Marchbox Hot Rocker in that box and wanted it. We have been restoring it together now and then when he come to see me
Thanks Asko! Did it still have the motor? That always seems to be the first bit to go missing on the Hot Rocker. Great to have a project to work on with your boy.
I reckon there are fewer Capris left in Oz than LC / LJ Toranas too Brian. I wish Hot Wheels would do another Aussie casting, I'd take nearly anything!
@@PBsRetroRestorations True Peter the Capri was sort after even back when they where released. yeah would be ice to see a Machbox/hotwheels Xu1 release

Hi Dave! In the UK and Australia it was sold as the Ford Capri, and Mercury Capri in the US. Having said that, I didn't know it was badged as a Mercury in the states, you learn something new every day.

Nice restoration and paint job 👍👍
Thanks Joe, It's one of my favourites.
It came out pretty good, that magenta colour looks sweet on the Capri, for sure it deserved a second chance. Nice job 👍 👏👏
