I wish I could like this conversation 1 million times.Awesome conversation I've learnt so much. Lynn thanks and bring this guy back again he has an ocean of wisdom. 🎉
Thanks Lynn for keeping us educated. Intercessors need to arise and pray away the enemies of Kenya's economy. This is serious. A small section of cartels are amassing the wealth of the nation!!!
Inflation, unemployment, GDP growth, Industrial and Private sectors, Manufacturing, Education sector, Health sector, Angricutural sector...... the list is endless
Very amazing conversation. I love what he has said about agriculture especially. Realizing that focus on agriculture is actually the most progressive way of setting up a formidable food sufficient society from which the rest development component can thrive. This was amazing.
if he who feds you controls you we as individuals need to go back to our parents era in the 80s there were people who never bought anything to eat at all what happened to us we need to at least start eating our own vegetables we can grow vegetables even in urban areas
Insightful conversation there... thought provoking indeed. The future of mainstream media is at stake. It is either LNN or Obinna or both..... good work guys
Thank you Lynn for hosting Mr Ken.... It's only in Africa where we export our brilliant minds so that the natives remain poor. If we create job opportunities here at home our Nation will thrive
Here with a note book 📖 and pen 🖋️🖊️ love this channel. Every interview is an opportunity to learn, open up ones mind and become more knowledgeable and aware.
The economic analysis by Ken is spot on. A political-economic analysis of Kenya's agriculture would to a large extent explain the artificial shortages, why the sector remains nascent over 60 years since independence and why the situation will remain the same unless there is some disruption of the status quo in the sector.
When we elected ruto i thought we had back Gaddafi to improve our country even the western countries were fearing him,but to my surprise it was opposite,All vision and mission gone ooh
Hi Lynn, your quetions today are very passionate today. I like the way you ask, like "how complex is the prodution process?'why cant we farm onions? Etc.Banks always "maintance modes" .Thanks Lynn❤
I know this brother from his years abroad, and he knows me. But that is a story for another day. I respect people like him who have returned to both try make it in this tough environment and also try to shape the environment itself 🙂
Imagine borrowing loans at 20 percent business loans and then you are heavily taxed.... Which business can survive that environment???? People don't need affordable houses, they need good business environment and they will buy a house of their taste
because you are not following the data. failure to do the housing now is setting ourselves up to fail in the next 10 years. the housing project creats job to the construction industry and all its chain
..being very service driven with minimal production/manufacturing, natural resources is not a good thing. Natural resources ought to give one some negotiating power. ICT should drive things, not hung in the air. What is your service driving and what is it driven by? No wonder we have a high wage bill coz thats service! ..and btw he starts by saying ee r service heavy then says later, we are diversitfied 🤔
Good conversation, it leaves me praying for our beautiful country Kenya. I try to look for that little light at the end of the tunnel. Many things don't work healthcare, education & agriculture & governance. I'm a child of farmers right now farming is expensive & so much theft. You can plant & harvest almost nothing, maize, beans & wheat will be harvested at night😱😲😥😓🤦🏿♀️you have to employe guards night & day.
can you be factual. feetilizer in 2022 and before was 7k today it is 3k the insectcide have been slushed to half the price. fuel price is manageble. what costs are you talking about? we have become self reliant on food, what we have been missing for more than 20 years. I am a farmer
People are talking about Kenyan economy they got no idea how foreign currency is getting weak mainly Euro and dollar hope Trump will stop this Russian war
The most interesting thing is we moved from colonization and indian dominance and we started taking control then ruto comes back gives the the west and indians china power again
@@StephenMumbwani Do you understand that adani control your hospital as we speak, do you adani turned down 60 percent of ecectricity in Bangladesh because they double it and the people couldn't pay, do you understand how many sectors depend on electricity. why is still borrowing instead of going after the corruption, why are Chinese building our houses, does it meam that our university are not teaching the right thing, why are there china towns in kenya?
The conversation was insightful and enjoyable. I'm reaching out from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. However, I was disheartened to hear that some believe Tanzania is at a disadvantage for investors simply because its people don't speak a goof English as Kenyans do. In my view, this mindset fosters a sense of superiority that lacks justification. Looking at countries like Japan, China, Brazil, and India, where English isn't widely spoken, we see they are still economically advanced, far surpassing Kenya, not to mention some countries here in Africa the likes of Morocco, Egypt, and Algeria, which also don't prioritize English, have economies that are stronger than of those of your who are like the UK citizens in EA. PUNGUZENI KUJIPA UMUHIMU KWENYE LUGHA ZA WATU😅
Indeed. It was a very generalized and uninformed dismissal of the actual state of affairs of Tanzania. Even during Covid-19 we had the highest growth rate of GDP in the region and we still have very good fundamentals. If at all there are reasons we are not growing faster, it has more to do with politics than anything else. Once there is the political will to make decisions, results follow. We are currently undergoing a transformation in the educational system, and there is going to be an increased emphasis on vocational training. Kenya, as Ken rightly said, is a service oriented economy. Tanzania is mostly a production and public driven economy, and due to improved investment climate is rapidly becoming an industrial economy. What we all need to be careful about is to ensure that economic growth also empowers the majority, and not just a few who are smart enough to benefit from it, as has been the historical case in Kenya and the US.
Good morning team LNN❤

I think today's money is more of spiritual that's why it's never enough and it leads us to overspending so we end up clinging on debt just to survive
