- The Casino and Eagle Street Stocks will be available in the 2024 Season 3 update!
When it comes to grass-roots racing, it doesn't get any more "rooted" than Street Stocks. Although there are (nearly) as many different variations on Street Stock rules as there are quarter- and half-mile race tracks around America, the common thread is the use of an older American street car as the basis of the Street Stock race car.
Depending on the race track and its rules (and your budget), Street Stocks range from little more than a street car with its interior gutted, its windows removed and a rudimentary roll cage to a full-on race car with a highly-tuned engine, upgraded suspension and plastic bodywork conforming to the shape of the original street car. (iRacing's Street Stock is built to the full-on race car rules).
Regardless of the specific rules, turning a street car into a Street Stock is not only less expensive than buying a purpose-built race car, the process of building a race car from a street car helps wanna-be race drivers and mechanics learn the fundamentals of race car construction, maintenance and setups. And learning is what it's all about, for Street Stocks is the class to learn the basics of stock car racing.

casino = monte carlo
eagle = thunderbird
thanks for that
and the panther is a camaro, because the camaro was originaly name was panther
Those cars are awesome! They look exactly like the street stocks at Jennerstown Speedway in Pennsylvania. NASCAR sanctioned short track. Grass roots racing. Please scan this track iracing. If you make the short trip down here to see it I know you will like it. It's a first class facility for being a local short track
I was there last Saturday. Great place.
These would be great at Bowman Gray Stadium.
Indianapolis Speedrome Figure-8.....PLEASE!!!!!!! These would be PERFECT!!
Can we get these on dirt too?
No
No. We don’t do updates on Dirt Ovals.
I'm willing to bet eventually next year they will. There's a lot of people asking for it.
These are gonna be a great addition to the street stocks. Hopefully the Trans Am Racing series will be added next
I just tried out the Monte Carlo the other night and it’s fantastic
Would be way cooler on dirt
I am impressed how they not just look different but drive different too. At Charlotte unlike the panther, these two have rear grip and handles so much better.
SALEM SPEEDWAY SCAN IT
Please scan salem speedway
Yeah and Winchester
It would be interesting to see how Salem would race in iRacing being as bumpy as it is.
@@andyjennings15 right? 2 most famous short tracks and they haven’t been touched by iRacing? HOW
@@MysticHippo Yeah I know and Winchester being the highest banked track in the world would be awesome to race on iRacing. I'd like to see Anderson Speedway on there as well.
Lets gooo
I would love for my home track at All American Speedway in Roseville, CA to get laser scanned. They run those cars along with the Late Models, and the zMAX CARS Tour West Series is going there too which makes it more exciting!
Yes. With how the pit lane goes straight to the parking lot and it's very unforgiving concrete wall. It might be a little small for iracing though, rookies absolutely struggle on anything shorter than a half mile. Would also love to see it scanned.
First and awesome!
We need a league with these and the Camaro to run only the NASCAR ovals!!!
❤❤❤❤❤
Legally distinct 😏
I now have a new favorite oval car
The eagle looks like the thundercar division at elko speedway
Man these presentstions are amazing! 😍
It's offical: I am now gonna buy this car!
These aren’t free?….
@the_real_beaker_ the Camaro is the free one, these are optional paid content.
@the_real_beaker_ No, you can buy both cars(well really body kits) for the price of one car. So I believe 12 dollars for both.
@@Sethsimracing that’s a little better I guess haha
@the_real_beaker_ Yeah, it does still cost money, but the car isn't any different than the free Street Stock, and completely optional. Basically, it's just if ya wanna drive a new different car in the Street Stock series. And I want to! 😅
Wawa wo wa
This will be interesting as there will be a free street stock, so effectively this is a skin pack.
Wauwauwiuwau
Scan the winged and non winged pavement sprints
We already have non winged
🎉🤘🤘🤘😅
how about some mopars
How much will they be😁 I am excited
$11.95 USD gets you both cars as a package deal (2 for 1 essentially).
How are they different from themselves or the original Panther street stock? I'd assume they drive differently or something.
Pretty sure they drive basically the same as the OG Street Stocks car based on coverage I saw.
Dirt versions next
preferably with the Economy tire and not a 1300 late model tire lol
I wonder what the name for the old camero is gonna be.
It's called the Panther now if I'm not mistaken.
We need a modern day dirt street stock
Just throw IMCA tires on these basically lol, I used to use a Monte Carlo dirt racing
@@GowGows
Chevrolet Monte Carlo = Casino 🎰🎲
Ford Thunderbird = Eagle 🦅
@@bngln1712 I know that, it's fairly obvious lol
Will they be the new cars in the rookie series?
These are optional body kits basically. $12 gets you both these body styles, they are physics matched to our old Camaro and you can race for free in Street Stocks with our old Camaro
What song is this?
feels like will be made free content in few months
Dirt Next!
Legacy nascars need ai support
Can I play this racing game on my phone or tablet please get back to me thanks
No, you cannot. PC only.
These comments always show new content is never enough lol
So people asking nicely for dirt is a bad thing?
It’s the same car just different sounds don’t let them take your money
Riverside International Speedway Canada
They basically just reused the 87s to make a street stock from the looks of it
Those are new scans of cars from the STAR super stock series. Boo Carlisle has a pic on Twitter of the actual cars that were scanned.
@@lordbigsby1742they look like the 87s though lol. It's mainly because the cars actually looked like the production car
@@maverickdavis3140 they are definitely from right around 87. I think it's cool they went out and scanned some local guy's cars. Both of those cars have been running locally forever it feels like. Scans really show that age vs the 87 cup car
@@lordbigsby1742 definitely show the age with the dents. I think it'll be cool to see what paints come from people to express those dents
All 3 scanned cars do have a notable history
the 'Eagle' has been raced around the Carolinas for years now by Jeff Melton. That car has primarily raced on the STARS Tour, MASS Series & at Dillon in South Carolina. Wouldn't be shocked if it had some past history at Concord too as Melton was a long time regular there before the track closed.
the 'Casino' car was originally a featured build for Speedway Illustrated from a couple years back & is raced by Ryan Flores here in the Carolinas on occasion.
the "Panther" car is a JRM owned build. Jr originally had a street stock that TJ Majors & i believe some others raced at Concord back in 2002, however from what I assume / based on the timeframe - the scanned car was raced in the Kimmel Series at Rockingham (yes, the big track) back in 2009 and 2010 by JD Frey
its kind of pointless considering there is a free version of this car. there is no reason at all to spend money.
In theory you're right, but reality says differently. You also only need one GT3 car to race in all the GT3 series that iRacing has, as well, and yet people usually own several different GT3s.
@@hippyjason in those cases, the different gt3 cars are actually different cars with different handling characteristics, BoP, tire wear and fuel burn. these street stocks arent that. The reality of the situation is that they actuallly are just a different body for the free car. no reason to justify paying new car prices for.
@@sprolyborn2554 Sure, but you still don't need but _one_ GT3 car to race in GT3. Maybe a better example is the 87Nascar cars. All are identical except for the non performance sheet metal, just as the these new street stocks cars are. And yet, a high percentage of iRacing drivers own more than one model of those 87s. And _none_ of those 87s were free, too boot, but people still bought several.
I’d play iracing if I didn’t have to worry about some stupid premium stuff to play each hour
Bro it's cheaper than golf or a night of beers lmao
Huh? What do you mean every hour?
@@GowGows Yeah exactly. I got into golf a few years ago, iRacing this winter. I can buy like 6 cars/tracks for the cost of one round of golf not counting the beers. iRacing is definitely the cheaper hobby.
Forget about the new content! Work on force feedback tires and physics which are ridiculos. Thanks!
They're completely different teams, one team doing something doesn't mean the other is. And if you read the blog posts you know they're heavily working on it.
