It looks like guy with wasps was not expienced player... At all...
first chaff purchased in round 5 man someone give this man some help hahah
when he did wasps for first round, he could just upgrade them asap and give them range (and later in game lasersight wasps could be enough to win the game) and build arcs against mustangs at round 6, it would make him to win another round and then just crawlers + ideally on melting point, but he didnt have this upgrade. But I think Jackal would react to it and counter it.
Jackal played well and unlike red, he understand game - he even put fangs in front of mustangs.
BTW if u go lvl1 mustangs vs higher level wasps then aoe dmg is not ideal as first upgrade. Anti air upgrade is better to go first until u get mustangs on same level as wasps.
Overlords would be also fine to go at any point and to go 2x upgrade on single melter is really sin. Or wraith with that armor blocking dmg.
Also at round six. Acid or ion blast would just kill all the balls, but red must have skipped that he got +50credits.
I think I faced that guy back when I was around 300-500MMR months ago. Too bad they haven't improved at all.
You can tell it's one of those players that think "Oh, these cheap little guys don't do anything. It's the giants that are cool and effective!" based on the way they played.

did you see Rat's tournament video recently?. It was fascinating he barely levelled anything. I always saw levelling was a way of snowballing (no pun intended! ) you're advantage but he seems to think the solution is rarely that.
RAT said it in one video/comment that you should level and upgrade only giants. And when those units have tech for spawning units, photon coating, emp, anti air barrage or oil. Then its better to go more giants to get better value of those upgrades than to level them up. Basicly any higher leveling and 3 or 4 tech on nongiants units is just meme for entertaining channels like this one - they work in VERY specific scenarios (=which is usually that enemy dont counter them), correct mass units works always. I begun to play like this and its way better. 1500mmr in 1v1 are easy.
Idea is what would you rather play against: 5x leveled sledges with 3x upgrades or 4x sledges with 1x upgrade, chaff and overlord with 1x upgrade?
Imagine this game how it would be different if instead of wasps there would be fully upgraded storms (range, fire, emp, faster shooting), melters spawning crawlers and more chaff.
Also a reason for building new units instead of upgrading is, a level 2 unit does the same player health damage, as a level 1 unit. So more units on the field at the end, is worth more then a couple strong ones.

How much lower was Deepthroat in MMR? Or your MMR is way lower than your skill, because you dont play game much? You played well. There was clear super big difference between you and Deepthroat.
