Im in love with this map. Even though the changes are not as drastic as Breakaway, its 500% better and went from bottom tier to top tiers in my opinion. It feels like battlefield. It feels gritty and wartorn. You say its ugly but I think it looks very good. The sun, the reflexions, the fires, the debris, the different type of land areas, the rust. The atmosphere is on par from what I expect from a bf game. I love the pacing. Especialy from c to B. There is often a frontline there where the damaged tanks are. And its amazing. I therefore disagree with your video this time around. With breakaway and discarded im very excited to see what they have done with hourglass. Its the worst map. Always has been. But I think it has a ton of potential. Maybe they saved the best for last 🤷♂️.
Wish they added more levolution type cover. You got the cranes hovering over the ship, why not knock them over to make a safe bridge to get to the top part of the haul rather than getting shot while using a zipline.
Oh no, the map "feels" like Caspian Border but bigger. Such shame, I sure hope it didn't became a lot of players' favorite map after the rework. If you don't like fields - stick to roads, there are a lot more added in this rework. These fields are specifically made for flanks and alternate routes for vehicles
The overall map is better but they've failed to address some major issues with the original. The main issue I had with original Discarded was the spawns near the D boat objective which put you out in the middle of nowhere with no cover. This has *not* been addressed, and is perhaps worse now. I once spawned so far away I was out of bounds and couldn't sprint back in before the timer ran out. The gameplay inside objectives is better but the in-between areas is extremely catered to camping and farming.
I've only played one round on the new map, but it does seem like a major improvement over the original. I appreciated having more cover options in the sense that long-range sniping was a real problem on the original map. One annoying thing was that I'd help cap an objective and notice that enemies continue to randomly trickle on to the objective and you're basically forced to stay there for an extended period of time after the cap. There's so much cover and spawn beacon spots it's hard to make the objective "safe" enough to rotate to the next one. That happens on all maps to an extent but usually there's a bit of time before the other team decides to retake it. There's just a lot of random dudes wandering around. Maybe it was just the round I played and there happened to be a lot of players running spawn beacons.
Any match I played their would always be a really contested point and mix that with some AI’s in the match it made it feel like a true warzone you’d see things getting blown up radio going crazy and just craziness all around
It's an improvement in some areas and in others it isn't as great especially with the open areas, wherever you are infantry or vehicle you are most likely if not 100% targeted instantly especially in vehicles like tanks by Javelin smooching Engineers who sit with that thing on top of cranes half way across the map wherever its conquest or breakthrough. I mainly play infantry and on the new and old discarded its far more enjoyable to be within the safety of a vehicle rather than trying to be on foot.
Eh. I think Attackers have an advantage, as soon as you push the defenders off their point, they spawn in really exposed areas and it makes the fight break into pockets. Very base defense-y.

@@USA_Specialist i didn't play it yet i been playing alot cod mw2 😂 whatever time its get update i go check the new update get better eveing its alot games coming out well sometimes we need a break from battlefield ... Yeah ...its getting good so far but i see they should do this the beginning but they lost so many battlefield players...

I Love this map. Actually feels like a solid combo for vehicles and Infantry.

It’s a decent rework a better rework than most maps that were previously worked, the openness just ruins the gameplay and gun play

As the other maps have really improved, this one has really fallen behind. The layout really doesn't work well as a whole.
