I love it! You didn’t start it with “heys guys” This is A video of a mechanic getting after it not a guy playing mechanic who really wants to be a RUclips star.
Thank you very much for the detailed video- i have a P Codd 1860 TCC solenoid and plan to change out all the switches this weekend. your video gave me the confidence to tackle this at home!
Did just did on my 94 Fleetwood Southwind 454 TBI w/4L80E back in 2018. That harness is a known issue and apparently GM made a change in them. Also switched both solenoids (A & B) and turned the force valve up about 1/2 turn. Any trans fluid into the inside of that connector will cause all sorts of shift issue/s. In my event when climbing a grade once I crested it did not want to shift to 3rd. I had to pull over. Shut off engine (resetting it) then restart and no more issue until another grade.
I have code p0894 transmission component slipping.. it shifts hard going into second sometimes but not all the time..my conmector has fluid in it?? I wonder if this is the cause of my issue
Hi Sir, I’ve just replaced the wire harness, all the solenoids connectors went smooth but the big main wire harness connector won’t come out ! I try to pull it out gently with channel lock but it’s not getting anywhere, the tabs can’t come out ! Any tricks on how to get that connector to snap all the way out flushed with transmission body ? Thanks in advance.
I just got mine from eBay, genuine GM kit with harness and 4 solenoids and the manifold pressure switch, $209... I'm doing it this morning, wish me luck 🤞
Hmm, it had a shift solenoid code. However, I forget what it was, however, it shifted fine although it had the code. So, the owner just wanted us to change all the solenoids and the internal wire harness. So we did.
@@alkarim5890 I don't know. I ordered it from our parts supplier. The salesmen knew what I needed by the year of the vehicle. You can probably get one from ebay.
Never ever ever ever make a video again. Customer got robbed. All those components were good. Solenoids rarely go bad. I bet they paid 2500$ or better. Torque converter will go bad before a solenoid will. We trust mechanics to do the right thing but yet and still you got em anyway. All electrical parts inside transmission can be tested with a multimeter without droping the pan. GOD want givers not takers.
I just subscribed. Don’t change your ways

You are correct about the shifting issues with the bleeding harness.
Thank you for this tutorial, very much appreciated.

Man this might be a life saver
Thank you for the explanation

I don't understand, what wire harness?
@@thisisyourtransmission the transmission wiring harness main plug 🔌
@@alkarim5890 what wire harness did you replace then?
@@thisisyourtransmission the entire main one but i can’t the main big plug 🔌 to get 100% inserted to the transmission body
1 1/2 exhaust tube about 4 to 6 inches long , to push the big Grey plug out , it pushes the tabs in that holds it in the tranny
Where you got all the parts?
Can you put the parts number please?
You can get all these parts on ebay.
Where do you get the parts and what was the cost for all parts?

Did you use ac Delco brand
Yes, however it is not necessary
What was the transmission problem, any codes ?

Agreed. The fluid is thick metallic brown 😂 what tf is a solenoid change going to fix
You just finish it
Bad camera quality 😢
