Already on it! I have ordered two 32 x 16 RGB LED panels (to make a 32 x 32 pixel display) I plan on making it into a universal game table - so you can play all sorts of games, not just pong
@legice Good suggestion. I have actually found a supplier of cheap pre-made led matrix modules. So I think I'll look at designing a new table around those ones which would make them far easier to build.
if it hasn't already been said, I suggest you move the control knobs so that they come out the sides of the table. A table w/ protrusions on the surface isn't a very good table.
I think you should make the "balls" traveling horizontally and vertically the same as if they were traveling diagonally, the old led should disappear before the new one appears.
@c25ole Yes I think he has missed the most. After playing it a few times I have noticed that due to the angle of the balls, the player that one actually seems to get favoured in that more balls will go to him than any other player. So not only did he miss the most, but he also hit the most. In a future update - the balls will actually be random and you will be knocked out of the game if you miss too many (rather than winning by hitting a certain number)
@TheMagicBeaner And the plug-in you need it install is probably Adobe Flash. If installing the latest version of Flash doesn't solve the problem, restart your browser or computer.
@DriftKing781 I can't quite remember exactly. It was certainly under 2 months. Just doing bits and pieces here and there. The hardest part was the LED display. That took AGES!
If you still want one, I have started a kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the new and improved version. Just do a search for retroball on the kickstarter website.
@staphinfection Good suggestion. I will be making updates to this game and I think I will put in a feature so that you can select the number of balls on the screen at one time.
@Renegade30 I have just finished the new design which will allow for future upgrades. I just need to send them the files and hopefully they will get right on it.
@Joey00000p I don't have any tables for sale but if you were wanting to build it for yourself, it will cost you maybe around $100 - $150 in parts. search instructables for super pong table for full details
@miaowmiaowable I was waiting for this question to come up = ) This is why the game needs computer players, because there is no real way to actually lose a one player game. To win, you just need to get to 20 points.
@smcphee6982 The tables themselves are not for sale but you can build one yourself, search for super pong table on instructables for a full how-to on building it for yourself.
@kol3la60l It's funny that you mention that, I am in the process of uploading a new video with a new scoring system whereby players are knocked out if they miss too many.
Really Cool, reminds me my childhood.
I want one of those!
Thanks Brad for your creativity.

I'm STILL amazed by this.

I think you should make the "balls" traveling horizontally and vertically the same as if they were traveling diagonally, the old led should disappear before the new one appears.
You can now get the new version of this game. Just do a search for retroball on the kickstarter website.
@NsaneNtheNbrane That's a great idea! I think I might do that - I have found some cheap electric shock keyrings on ebay for $2 each!
@c25ole Yes I think he has missed the most. should make it to where you can use two knobs as an etch a scetch type of thing
wow this would make such a fun drinking game.
@DriftKing781 I can't quite remember exactly. It was certainly under 2 months. Just doing bits and pieces here and there. The hardest part was the LED display. That took AGES!
@zoadam The key thing to remember here though is, even with no friends - you still have pong!
Hi, you can now get the new version of this game. Just do a search for retroball on the kickstarter website.

@SirQmmiseta I am not too sure who the song is by. It is just a built in audio track that comes with imovie (which is a video editing program)
Is this video about losing one's friends due to beating them in Pong until the player reamins forever alone? :)
my dad was a pong allstar... my dads old
@Noemis93 I am not too sure who the song is by. It is just a built in audio track that comes with imovie (which is a video editing program)
How long it took to make the game? Like about 2 months or so....?
@SirQmmiseta Yep, it is called Spacey Club
this is something I would make just for the lolz =)
maybe up the led count by 2=)

What's the name of the track playing in the background?
@JAadamski I see what you are saying, although if there weren't ads, then youtube wouldn't make any money and then youtube probably wouldn't exist.
@golddoraemon Yep, just search instructables for super pong table = )
@MengoMango Yeah, he didn't - I had a little coding error that had the YOU WIN message displaying the wrong way round.
@kisslory It looks like two dots and a circle.

@Joey00000p I don't have any tables for sale but if you were wanting to build it for yourself, it will cost you maybe around $100 - $150 in parts. search instructables for super pong table for full details

I bet you guys were focusing on the bottom right player.
@miaowmiaowable I was waiting for this question to come up = )
This is why the game needs computer players, because there is no real way to actually lose a one player game. To win, you just need to get to 20 points.
@Hemulen40 Do you mean like Ping Pong?
you should do supersnake on that thing
@smcphee6982 The tables themselves are not for sale but you can build one yourself, search for super pong table on instructables for a full how-to on building it for yourself.
Did anyone else notice there was text scrolling at the bottom?
@00retrobrad00 It says nothing about installing a plug in though
oh i get this game,,, so the one who misses the ball the most wins!
how do u win as 1 player if your just hitting it off the walls?
Where to get A Coffee Table Pong? :)
@gck86 It's pretty cool in a dark room!

@DaveFeinComedy Your Dad sounds cool.
@c25ole The coring is one thing that I really need to update. I will release this in the next version.
He sent all of his superfans an Email telling us to watch this.
@kol3la60l It's funny that you mention that, I am in the process of uploading a new video with a new scoring system whereby players are knocked out if they miss too many.
@Renegade30 Parts have been ordered!

I only focused on the bottom right one
So wait, if you play by yourself its gonna say "You win!" no matter what
that is nice
