- A flash flood in Sainj river (also known as Pin Parbati river) has caused massive destruction at Sainj under the Banjar subdivision of Kullu district on Sunday. As many as 40 shops and 30 residential houses were washed away in flooded Sainj river at Sainj in Kullu on Sunday. But so far no loss of life has been reported in this incident.

These poor ppl in small towns and villages are responsible for all this seriously! The debri from the construction of hydro projects, tunnels and roads were carelessly dumped on the banks of the rivers by the goverment and private companies. These encroachments by poor villagers are not even .005% of what govt and construction companies are doing in HP & UK on a massive scale.
