Before the high waters came, I don't recall seeing hardly anyone crossing the bridge. But after the high surge of water came, I saw person after person crossing the bridge. It seemed like it was a dare. Very happy that the bridge was strong enough to withstand all of that water. Life is precious! Appreciate it! There are no guarantees!

There was a landslide and the landslide blocked the river. The river overflowed and this happened.

A huge landslide (a part of the hill collapsed) blocked the kaligandaki river for a day. Many towns on the banks were evacuated in the middle of the night. Thankfully the blockade started to loosed up and gradually the flow resumed. This video is of when the government was able to remove the blockade and the river was able to resume it’s flow.
