> Plays triple stops with perfect intonation
"OK"
Miguel, he means "place triple stops"
His smile at the beginning somehow seems so precious with an almost childlike innocence or playfulness but his eyes seem to have an old kindness to them, and the "My dear friends" at the beginning as well. What a wholesome human being.
"the smooth landing of the airplane"... That made my day.
Silent Observer coincidentally I used same aeroplane analogy when teaching students. 😂
I think this a Russian thing, my teacher always uses this
I love how hard it is for him to deliberately play out of tune
I do it with ease. Take that Maxim Vengerov.
There are (in the latter part of his career) performances on RUclips where it's horrendously out of tune haha. Well... perhaps "horrendously" is a bit much... but definitely "noticeably" out of tune sums it up correctly.
Which performances, I'd like to listen@@liamnevilleviolist1809
I don't even play any instruments.
That's the effect of Maxim Vengerov.
I play violin much better when hearing Maxim.
That's the real effect of Maxim Vengerov. 🙂
I'm impressed by how the practice session (separately, slowly, etc...) is SO beautiful, it just sounds as a full musical beautiful piece by itself, I could just stop at hearing the practice session on its own, it is amazing to listen to !!
Elise Zerrouki i agree!!
A perfect player with one the best instruments on earth... Then suddenly bowing the open strings is just a concert of its own!
I love the "It's wasted, yeah" while he looks around at 3:05
I. NEED. MORE. MAXIM. !!!!
I really like how he takes a tricky passage from a very advanced piece, breaks it down into logical pieces then ties it all together. Makes you want to practice this piece. He is a heck of a teacher.
In the music... I feel so much like practicing after watching him, it hurts! It's midnight here. I'll have to wait.
Thank you so much, Maxim Vengerov! And I've seen you live twice. So wonderful!
You can buy an electric violin for quiet practice (+ bridge mute for even quieter)
I feel ya gurl
Thank you, Disciple of Ling Ling.
I'm not at this level yet, and I still feel that I learned something.
I’m playing the fourth movement of Vieuxtemps 4, this literally could not have come at a better time.
How do you play those? They're so fast, really difficult, especially upbows
You should listen to Hillary Hahn's recording.
Best violinist ever! Nobody can Express a phrase better that you! Now a great teacher too.
The sound engennier gets crazy shifting the resonances of the voice to the GIANT sound of the violinist!
His practice is beautiful. I can listen to it all day 😌
Amazing sound, he feels the music and amazing technique
Thank you so much for explaining your whole practice process. 😊 It makes so much sense!
Practice technique with musical involvement and drama. Vengerov is such a world class player! I really enjoy listening to his philosophies and approach to violin playing. Just to add a little note from my own experiences. Be mindful when you shift and don't shift too much when playing a triple stop phrase like this. Just moving the fingers and keeping the thumb in place gives you more power and control. That's the way Heifetz did it and he sure could play the fiddle too!
One of the greatest of all the violinists!
His performance of Jules Massenet's Thais Meditation is one of the most heartachingly beautiful renditions of any piece ever.
totally agree
Maxim is the man!! He explains things so well with a huge emphasis of enjoyment and feeling the music. He rocks.
Thank you Vengerov and thank you Classic fm. Even though Vengerov’s tour was interrupted now because of the virus, we can still enjoy his playing and teachings. Thank you!
Thank you Mr. Vengarov! It's like a beautiful woman, crying, sobbing! Your description is magnanimous! Brilliant! I shall endeavor your challenge. You have spoken eloquently on I am sure a difficult subject. I will try to break this down into smaller steps. Please keep this posted. I am slow learner. I look forward to more on the triple stop as you are able. I am only now learning about a oapstone. I need an ivory tailpiece I am sure. Happy playing. Your diligent admire in u.s. c.e.😅
Thanks so much for showing your practise process! 😊 It makes so much sense.
Great and so beautiful. Thank-you Maxim! Inspiring and so well shown and explained.
Wonderful. Excellent demonstration by a true master.
I am truly amazed by his playing on just plain open strings, you can really hear the resonance! So amazing!
Great lesson - always in the music, dividing them for the intonation;
then, with enormous pleasure and everflowing, little-fingered, strokes.
Спасибо
Thank You very much for this practising ! You have very strong and agresive vibrato -
it's one of your individualities ability - I like it very much. Enjoy music, Thank You !!
His violin sounds incredible. Check open strings around 4 min mark. He always sounds amazing!
I really appreciate this wondeful opportunity~~🌼
Maestro breaks down the technique so well、and his tone is so Beautiful~🌈
Thank you so much for this! One of my favorite pieces played by Mr Vengerov and to see him play it slowly...I dunno, seems like a very hard thing to do!
I can’t get past twinkle twinkle little star but I love watching him in masterclasses!
Amazing masterclass! Maxim is the best!
Wonderful lesson! Thank you so much!
Thank you, Maestro!
Me siento muy afortunado de tener está información gratuita de un virtuoso. Gracias por el video, aprendí muchísimo

Você é o melhor parabens.
Maxim is ther leader always.
Please prof... Can you make a tutorial about ricochet and uppo stuccato
Anyone else absolutely in love of how is Violin sounds😍🙏🏽
Este video vale su peso en oro
So much heartbreak in that sound, it could be a very sad scene in a movie. Incredible musicality.
He's my favourite violinist ever 💖💖💖💖
Me as a violinist: "yes, of course. I can really hear the character and emotion in the technique."
Any other musician: "isn't that just a chord with extra steps?"
That's what a violinist should do.
get over yourself.
Me as a violist: “this isn’t for me but I’m using it anyway”
ew shut up dude
they arent being a narcissist they’re making fun of themself
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Thank you!
Thank You Sir.
amazing!
hehe sounds like he's almost playing the chaconne in certain moments during his slow practice
IKR!
Yeah i noticed that too
That’s because Chaconne was written with a lot of arpeggios, which are basically separated chords.
I thought he was playing parts from Chaconne ?
Коротко и Ясно!!
Связь с Музыкой прежде всего!!
Свобода!!
Вслушиваться в каждый звук и контролировать свои мышечные ощущения!!
БРАВО!!!
I play no instruments whatsoever, but he made me feel like I am a violinist attending his masterclass
Amazing 🙏💕
Beautiful. Even this little practice clip is such perfection. I wish I can attend your concert one day.
thank you=) you help me a lot
Браво!!!❤
Amazing

Genial
Had to pause after the triple stops and reassure I'm not dreaming and of course to write this comment :D
Максим - вы Великий учитель! Надеюсь, вы оставите своих учеников и ваш опыт не будет потерян!
Венгеров дает потрясающие мастер-классы в Лондоне!
While we are wondering when we can fly again, he is landing airplanes softly... and miraculously. By the way, any upcoming conerts/recitals in Cologne area? Would make one of those nagging dreams of mine come true. Thanks anyway for all those out there dedicated to promoting precious knowledge in our RUclips Wasteland!
His low cent bend up vocalisation proves he is from another time adapting to "modern" concert tune
Terbaik
Thanks Maestro! For a truly precise intonation, isn't it better to study without vibrato?
No, like Maxim says pleasure will propel you in the end.
Pop off my guy
Yasss im playing saint saens too
Does anyone know where I can find the sheet of the triple stop scale Maxim used in this video? thx a lot!
His "out of tune" playing is basically me every time I practice Bach. Lord, I have seen what you have done for others and I want that for myself.
In Jesus' name, I pray that for you, Micah. Practice, practice, and do so unto the Lord.
Just asking but anyone know what song he is playing? Thanks a lot😊
Thank you so much for the lesson. Also, may I know what violin you're using. Is it a Strad, Guaneri or something else. You're playing sounds angelic.
What strings are those ?
I like how he says "you do not"

Having a really nice violin helps too
I'd like to see @TwoSetViolin's opinion on this ;)))
Waiting for Twosetviolin to react to this :)
Vengerov: "The Shift has to to be practised slow"
One sacrilegious boi: "If you can practice slow, you can practice fast..." 🐝
My pinky reacted to this by getting all stinky.
LING LING 40 HOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUURS
Conversation between body parts:
my eye: hey its look easy! hand, try it
my ear: yeah, it doesn't sound hard, play it
my feet: Even I can play that!
My hands: (...)
Same with piano
all my practices were a waste...according to Maxim....GG Sir!
TwoSetViolin liked this.
