Sasha I am an RBT and have completely always connected Anime and Manga with my neurodivergent students who CHANGED MY LIFE. These kids are connected to those characters. Enough so they create their own anime characters to have relationships with these characters. It's NOT any type of fetish, but how their neurodivergent brain has processed these characters into a safe social space where they can actually feel comfortable to explore any type of relationship let alone sexual attraction. I currently work at a public inclusive high school where this is soooo conmon.

You don't think there's something wrong with that?

These kids need to be grounded firmly in reality by the adults around them - not to collide with their fantastical thinking

Excellent advice, beautifully communicated. This is the most important video I’ve seen for families struggling to help their gender-confused children. I hope it gets millions of views. Profound thanks.
“Is it helpful to build an identity that puts you in conflict with your physical body?” What a great question!

Very insightful Sasha...thank you. I have a 29yo stepdaughter who is in a social group that is almost exclusively gender questioning/late ADHD diagnosis/PTSD/trauma etc and she is now calling herself "nonbinary" which to me and her father is more difficult than trans as it appears meaningless to us...I will use your techniques in discussions with her!

Maia, your question was brilliant. You’ve got a gift of being able to vocalize thoughts we’re all having but don’t know how to put them to words. It’s really extraordinary!

Wonderful. I think that young people who are more narcissistic are able to sustain the fantasy for a longer period, since fantasy is a big part of being a narcissist.

If only this talk was given 10 years ago. I might still have a relationship with my daughter - who stopped speaking to me because i didn’t affirm her “male identity”
