Needle Felted Iberian Lynx

- Needle felting is an artform that allows one to sculpt with wool. It involves poking clumps of wool with a barbed needle which catches the fibers and causes them to entangle and hook together. The more you poke the clump of wool the more entangled the fibers get, causing the wool to shrink and increase in density. This is made possible by the fact that wool fibers have microscopic scales that will hook onto other fibers.
This is a time-lapse video showing the creation of an Iberian Lynx. The Iberian Lynx bears the distinction of being the worlds most endangered species of cat. Today there are just over 400 individuals remaining in the wild.

Gorgeous work, it’s such a shame that this beautiful species of cat may not be around for future generations
@Destroyer of Bots Lmao
I guess im randomly asking but does anybody know of a method to log back into an Instagram account??
I was dumb forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
@Corbin Adam instablaster :)
@Kendall Lewis i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out now.
Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Kendall Lewis it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my ass !
I don't think they want to teach us....Its a beautiful piece of art. If everyone knows how to make them, it wouldn't be such a niche market. Which I kinda agree.
Felting is WAY more popular than you think!!
I have had the great fortune to have done a kyoshi workshop. He was more than happy to share skills and I learnt so many different things. The info is there if you need it
It's easy but time consuming. If you put in 1000 hours in practice and have any natural talent you can do this. I picked it up in 40 days at master craft level. I might be genetically different because I'm from krypton though. Jk
@@DjMakurimaru 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That is simply breathtaking! Thank you so very much for allowing us to watch.
Wow, I wish I could see more of your techniques on doing the fur so beautifully.
Wow! That Lynx is so realistic! Your process for adding the fur at the end was a great tip to show the way it comes out from the roots!
It is amazing to watch this Lynx come to life right before my eyes! You do such beautiful work, Kiyoshi!
Brings tears just watching you create this beautiful piece (and your other work as well).
Thank you so much for sharing your talent...simply incredible!
If you want to actually see what the artist is doing. Click on the settings gear, then click on speed and select the .5 setting. This slows it down to half speed. I sculpt in all kids of mediums but this one I just get to watch. Too bad I am allergic to wool. This is beautiful work. Thank you.
Absolutely amazing I’m mind blown 🤯 I’m still new to felting but this is where I would like to get to someday! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow I’m blown away at the Accuracy of this animal, it’s actually perfect, I wish though that there was either a commentary or direction of what to do on screen.
Absolutely breathtaking and amazing!
*To all those asking for a tutorial*: I am not saying this is the same for Kiyoshi Mino, but when I needle felt, I usually just do it from my mind. I don't write down steps, memorize it or anything, and usually make it up as I go. Plus, filming a tutorial for this multi-hour project would be a lot of work and stress. So, if anyone was wondering, I was just saying to kind of give people possible reasons for this. Also, I would like to note that this Iberian Lynx that you made is something that I strive to be able to do one day. I appreciate all the time and effort that you have put into it. - :)
Thank you so much! Yes I am the same way as when it comes to my process. I do however make video tutorials through curiousmondo.com but they are not free. It takes months of prep work on my part and a lot of work from the staff at Curious Mondo as well.
I am the same, just doing my own thing but I do like to watch these for hints. You can learn at least one good thing from every video. Some people are in a different class to the rest of us though. This person is an artist. Simply hours of work. Try watching Sarafina or Woolly Wednesday by Living Felt for free tutorials.
Such an amazing and beautiful piece of work ! I think this is more work than taxidermy, but at least nothing had to die for it. Lovely job. Thanks for the video. xoxo
Your work is out standing!
It gives me no end of pleasure to watch your genius at work!
Please please can we see more of you in future your outstanding at what you do and more people should know about your talent!!

You are amazing!! Your work is fantastic!!!!
Very good work!!😀
Thank you - breathtaking work!
For a second there it looked more like a buffalo than a lynx. How much core wool was used to make the base, anyways?
great creation. Amazing
Amazing work!
Superb as always
Fantastic work! Really lifelike. I feel you could have a brilliant career making Cenozoic Era animals for museum exhibits. Mammoths, wooly rhinos, giant sloths, etc.
Hermoso arte. Una clase magistral. Muchas gracias

Could you make tutorials? rather than those speed up videos... I mean your creations are amazing and I really want to learn about the wire squeleton.
Greetings from Chile ♡
suritaz Skeleton...
If you click TOP right hand corner of the screen, you should see three vertical dots. Click on those and you can slow the speed right down.
There are tutorials on felting animals on other channels. You've probably found by now. Tutorials, kits sold, supplies, etc
@@recoveringsoul755 kyoshi does tutorial videos as a business.
@@MummyCookie123 awesome, but i wasn't the one asking 3 years ago.

I came to your channel to stay, congratulations on your designs are very beautiful and you explain well, I would also like your opinion, greetings from Uruguay
Wonderful. You obviously need to understand the bodies composition beneath the fur.
I want one!
Bravo
Did you use 1 needle for all or different size for different steps?
😯😯💗💗 How long did this take???!!!!?!?! It's beautiful
Very small paws
Wahnsinn echt toll 😆
I'm sorry but the speed is incredibly fast making it hard to watch. Otherwise its fabulous.
Can you sell one of these to me
I almost unlike because I wanted to like twice
Oh gosh in the thumbnail I thought you shave a real cat
What's the white stuff you used?
Ugly Person the same shit he used for the rest of it.
Sheep wool / felting wool lol.
@@kittybitty3099 Wow you really are a nasty piece of work aren't you?
@CutieFox Creations I am well aware of what people names are. I wasn't addressing Ugly Person. If you LOOK you will see I was replying to Stephanie Sabine, someone totally different. And it's their not there, so if you want to try and put someone right make sure you get it right yourself!!!!!!!
hola has un trio de elefantes
Anyone else wondering how long it would be if it weren't sped up?? Would they just skip some parts to make it shorter?? The world may never know
Elineighbor Drawings it would take HOURS.... Maybe even days.
can you slow it down?
Changing the video quality changes the speed
Slowing down the speed in the settings just made the video Uncomfy to watch...
Would sure be helpful if you could stay in the frame while felting.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
If only all stuffed animlas where made like that......😞
👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
🐈👌😻🤗🌟👀🐝
You are very talented and amazing! It would be nice to know the hours for each project as well to get some perspective. I hope your work is helping to support your farm. I was also wondering...do you harvest animal hair from your personal animals to work with? facebook.com/LuckyDuckFarm/videos/653383674728500/
Please make it slowly!
Go to video settings and change the video quality should see a difference
too fast. I can not understand what's going on
луч Елисеев this isn't a tutorial. It's a time lapse showing the entire process. There's a massive difference between the two, if you want a tutorial you literally need to type in the word "TUTORIAL"....
Why show the whole process, if so badly and quickly?
Just play it on 0.25x speed
луч Елисеев because it would be many hours long
Some people learn a lot from a time lapse. There's a lot to be gathered from this video.
Something I've noticed is that time lapse videos are mostly useful to someone who's already somewhat experienced in the video's subject. It's more of a quick way to learn new/more advanced techniques, and to quickly see the entire process, so you're able to understand how it all works together.
Why to fast.
Longs processes probably take up too much camera footage
The video is way too fast for me and alot of times the subject is out of frame, so i will not continue to watch anymore im sorry.
