Bike: 2022 Yamaha MT07 Tech black 35KW Dominator Exhaust
Acceleration until 150kph is really good, but in my opinion not worth going beyond 160kph on the 35kw version, u need a lot of time (and burn a lots of gas) to reach 180
yeah like mt03
You won't burn a lot of gas cuz its inyection its restricted. The ECU won't let you enter more gas in the cylinders.
you won't burn a lot of gas because of the restriction and it sounds better plus when u have A license you can remove the restriction
Goes to show how ridiculous it is all of these power restriction regulations... What on earth is the difference between someone going 170km/h and 200km/h? You're equally putting yourself and others in danger. There is literally not a single logical argument that can be made in favour of these regulations.
It's not about the speed, its about the power. A motorcycle with too much power can be dangerous for beginners because of acceleration.
here's a logical argument.
i rode mt07 a2 and owned mt07 unresistricted. when accelerating with full throttle, the A2 version has noticeably less torque. around mid/high RPMs the acceleration doesnt pull as hard. for someone who has little or no experience (new rider or A2 license holder), having a predictable/constant/linear power delivery will give you time to react and slow the bike.
with the full power bike you can easily pull unintentional wheelies and lose control, so a tiered license system probably reduces the likelihood of crashes which can easily injure and kill people. if youve never been in a motorcycle accident youll know how fucked up even a 30-50km/h collision can be even when wearing full gear.
@@180FiftyFive I've been in an accident (single vehicle) on my own unrestricted MT-07, when I was going an estimated 50kmph. It was a nasty incident, I got completely thrown off the bike. Luckily I was wearing full gear. Otherwise I would've likely needed skin grafts. Having said that, this is also my very first motorcycle. I never had any issue with how much torque it has. Yes it's something to be very aware of, but I don't see how a restricted version of it would matter. Either you're aware enough of it or you're not. Also, this is about power output, not torque or a measure of acceleration. If that was the case, they'd categorise the bikes differently. Not all bikes have the torque that an MT-07 has. So following your logic with less torque-y bikes, it just doesn't make much sense.
@@Ryan-nq3qp its not a perfect system. im not saying its ideal. but you wont find any bike that conforms to 35kw limit that will be very dangerous for beginners (like a v-twin monster, 1000cc superbike etc).
the truth is, reducing maximum horsepower (which in effect also reduces torque) is still a good safety measure to keep beginners alive. its already risky enough riding a motorcycle being an unexperienced rider. everyone makes mistakes even if you have good training. by limiting maximum power, youre reducing accidents caused by loss of control due to the bike being overwhelming. there will still be accidents, but the proportion of these will likely be due to other rider errors like poor braking, not using countersteering etc.. rather than inability to control the power of the bike.
and again speaking from experience, I had my Ninja 300 up to 195km/h in perfect conditions, while the MT07 with 55kw reaches about the same (207 indicated - not much difference). however the Ninja 300 is a MUCH more docile bike, so top speed is irrelevant since the power never surges while accelerating. its gradual and predictable, and much easier to ride for inexperienced riders
after seeing the acceleration 0-100 I am thinking is there any other benefit of restricted version than being able to ride with A2 license? Feels absolutely as punchy as unrestricted version which I have.
i owned an unrestricted mt07 for a year/10,000km+. i also road a restricted mt07 and i can tell you the difference is very noticeable. its not just about numbers but the feel of power/torque cant be shown on a paper or top speed video.
the best way to describe it is imagine if the bike is getting choked and the power that you normally expect to continue to mid/high RPMs abruptly disappears once you are accelerating.
@@180FiftyFive totally agree, that's the feeling
on the 07 the bottom power is the same as the unrestricted, so you get the same punch of acceleration on restricted and unrestricted
@@oliverthirud9470 as someone who's ridden both, it absolutely does not have the same acceleration as the unrestricted one. Its way slower
@@oliverthirud9470 as someone who's ridden both, it absolutely does not have the same acceleration as the unrestricted one. Its way slower
the mt03 beats it as of top speed.
but ofc that the a2 version of the mt07 shines with its acceleration.
kinda sad i have to stick to the a2 for a couple years
just take it out lol
what drugs are u on? :)
i owned both bikes. unrestricted mt07 and mt03 660. also rode the restricted mt07. on an A2 license you can have fun with all of them. even now having ridden bikes like honda fireblade, fz6, mt07 etc i still think the mt03 is a great and fun bike
@@MAKEOUTHILL481 how that? Hack the system?
@@angelofilipe41 qual motivo dela nao estar com total cavalaria? Obgd
Lekker man. Welke uitlaat zit eronder?
i think your bike is restricted... on my 2022 mt07 i reached 229 with exhaust system and a little tuning. before that when it was bone stock it reached only 210.
gas i put on is 95RON...
it says in the title its restricted to 35kw (48hp) to meet the requirements of A2 license
@@atrivia8244 which country does have A2 license requirement?
@@m3y3rlopez13 scandinavia, germany etc. i dont know every country but pretty sure its a thing in almost all of europe. u can get the bike de-restricted when u get the A license. so everything above 48hp is considered an A license bike
is the restrictor still only on throtthle on the newer models or is it anywhere else?
Purely software
My mt-07 2022 reach 200 kmph
Welke handschoenen heb je bro?
With my 2016 Honda CBR 500R, I can go to 185. That MT is just weird.
Thats Aerodynamics
my mt03 will gap this thing and go through the geluidsbarriere
No 🤦♂️
@@blazeinphoenix1744 sarcasm my dude
Yamaha MT 03 185 km
My 2020 mt07 35kw can do 190 kmph, i think the poeer speed here is due to the upright riding position…
hey man, is this in Australia?
Netherlands
He would be in jail for 5 years if he was aussie😂
It's mexico or Germany
The Netherlands
That mt is weird I ve done 205kph in mine
They can drive over 220. They can still drive 170. It's funny.
good soup
Mt/Fz07 is a city bike, trash on highways. Stop trying to be something you are not. Get a 10 if you want to do high speed. '07s are about keeping that front wheel off the ground. It's our gimick and it's really fun!
Mt07 named mt25 i think 🤔
190 for me
I have a Yamaha MT-07 from 2016 and it has twice the vmax XD
Snits

?
My z400 goes that fast
Thats no suprise since this one is 35kw limited which is about the same as all those beginner bikes
I thought this thing was faster
Full power is faster😂
jaja. Nein.. ganz sicher einfach nur ganz bestimmt NEIn
