Yes till date that tower from which vellayi pushed him and jumped down herself is painted in white as a bitter remembrance of her sacrifice while all the other towers of the temple are as colourful as a rainbow. But sad part is I don’t know how many people who visit the temple even know about this history 😞

Go and read some History rather than some blabbery.The first muslim invasion took place around 712 AD when Mohammad Bin Quasim invaded India for the first time.Later Sultan Mahmud of Ghajani invaded Indian around 1000 AD(Faced by King Joypal).Sultan Mahmud also looted Chakraswami temple at 1014 AD and Plundered Somnath temple of Gujrat in 1025-1026 AD.Lots of other temples were destroyed by those invaders.Are u still asking for more evidence?

Not just Srirangam , Meenakshi temple at Madurai was ransacked too and remained shut for over 100 years . Again the devotees saved the murthi from Malik kafir. To learn that he came at the invite of feuding pandya princes of that time shows how selfish and stupid we continue till date with hindus remaining our worst enemies . Will the devout tamils discover their cultural greatness by throwing out the characterless Dravidian parties from the rule , who continue Malik kafur unfinished task trying to sell of temple lands to missionaries and deracinating tamils by saying tamils are not hindus.
By the way , the credit for driving away muslim rulers from Trichy and madurai goes to the Vijayanagara queen Gangadevi who personally led the army and reopened Meenakshi temple . Subsequently Marathas guarded Tamil Nadu from Islamists. Tamils have to be grateful to kannadigas and Marathas for protecting them and their culture after pandyas vanished . Malik Kafur was a Hindu, a Eunuch and of Maratha origin as per Wiki... He was a ferocious warrior protecting the Khilji's against the Mongols and then invaded the South of India including Gujarat and destroyed Many empires including the Yadava's, the Kakatiya's, the Hoysalas, so on and so forth... Natives form nation to nurture roots of native spirituality, native culture, native languages and pride in achievements of native ancestors. Education needs to do such nurturing of roots since education in literal sense means edu (innate/native skills) Cate (care/nurture). Indian education needs to nurture roots so that next generation has many Ramanujan, Jagdish Bose, Karmarkar, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Madan Mohan Malviya and many other well rooted Indians of past.
