My Kids and I watched Wonder Man over and over years ago. Kim & Jeff knew all the lines and songs and we laughed til our tummies hurt. What wonderful memories. We love all the Danny Kaye movies and have the DVDs. Thanks for making them available on RUclips.
It was back in the mid 80s while in high school that I rented a beta max tape copy of this film thinking it was a Superhero movie. After watching it midway, I was literally rolling on the floor with laughter and this film made me discover the comedic genius of Danny Kaye. I started watching his other films like "The Court Jester", "The Inspector General", "Hans Christian Andersen", "Knock on Wood" and "White Christmas"(thoese were the only film copies I had access to back then) and became a fan. I rank him up there with Charlie Chaplin as a comedy great along with Mel Brooks, Gene Wilder, Robin Williams and Jim Carrey.
A magnificent set of pipes, accents, facial expressions, long-assed ethnic names, smatterings of other languages, all manner of beastly sound effects, and an IMPECCABLE sense of comic timing. There will never be another of his immense talent. 🤣👍👏👏💖
I luv Danny Kaye and my fav scene in this movie is the park scene with the cop. I watched this movie again last night on Amazon. If you're feeling blue, watch a Danny Kaye movie. It's sure to life your spirits.
The wonderful, the unique, the best comedian of my youth, Danny Kay, a genious who came from Ukraine to the USA. He performed and was introduced to Winston Churchil, the British Queen Mother, etc, etc. He was very dedicated to poor children all over the world through UNICEF. He had been very poor being a little Ukanian child. I loved all his films!! Great entertainer. 👍😂🤣😂🤣👏👏👏👏👏👏
pitchingtents toYHWH it was, My mom's fav2, she was so impressed with vocal, and comedy blend. So that i got My nickname CHOCHO, just cause hes trying so tell the cops in the audience who the gangsters are, so he sings...about this CHOCHO LAVERNE . SO THE NAME STUCK WITH ME AND IM nearly 40. So i can feel your pain bro. God bless PS : 7:10
I often have a bad dream, where I have to sing and I don‘t know what. Its exactly like this here. Only not that funny. 😁 I would die laughing. How could she manage this?
I looked at the costume and it looked like a "Yeoman of guard" (for example) ruclips.net/video/Kb3xErXjxWw/видео.html ruclips.net/video/4iADjHUH-6Q/видео.html
His wife wrote most of the music numbers... but the "SEE ME!" bit is lifted from Il Trovatore... the Marx Brothers had a go at it in Night of the Opera...
I think the woman singer is Alice Mock. What a voice! And to perform opposite Danny Kaye. Wow!!!

I'd also count Buster Keaton in that group.
Watched this loads of times with my mum when I was a kid. Fantastic.

@@joshblake I wasn't sure I will get a reply a year later. Cool😎
Haha sometimes I don’t see the alerts that someone commented until later, but this time I saw it pretty quickly. :)
FYI: The “boing boing boing” at 5:21 is a parody of the NBC chime that the network used to identify itself during radio broadcasts.
What an astonishing talent!!!
Beyond excellent.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! Was able to find it & buy it on DVD years ago! $39 bucks!
Danny Kaye could have had another career as an Italian tenor, by golly!
He's apparently got a handle on the language! 🤣
Or an Italian baritone, but he could get up there.
Would love to see this full movie, my mom's favorite. She talked about it up until she passed away. But never saw it in my lifetime.
it's called "Wonder Man:.

Danny Kaye gives impromptu voice lessons... by the way he is absolutely right about the diaframma 😎

cüneyt aklıselim I’m not sure. 🤷♂️
It wasn't an opera from anything, it was written for the movie.
I looked at the costume and it looked like a "Yeoman of guard"
