Thank you so much Erika! 💙💙💙 It's not even the hospital that charges - it's the parking company that runs the hospital's garage (as far as I know, they are a different company). Unfortunately that's just typical Los Angeles for you. You'd think that we could get a frequent visitor pass or something but they don't really do that. I got a bunch of comments about this on Facebook yesterday and most people were saying they had to pay for parking at their children's hospital too. I guess it depends on the city's demand for parking.
In UK our local hospital charges for parking when mum died in 2014 my brother was paying for parking for four days and nights as we were staying at hospital
State insurance is bad. I’m waiting on a surgery and need an mri. They won’t approve the mri and they’ve approved the surgery. Just doesn’t make any sense at all. I hope Damian gets better with these infusions. He looks better now than when I saw him last year.

Does the hospital have Volunteer Service? I w ork with children with Special Needs in Ontario Canada. I have received vouchers from this service to assist families.(Ie vouchers, for meals , vouchers for parking, money for travel etc.) Sometimes local hotels will offer accommodation at a special rate. Is there a Social Worker within the Team that is providing services to Damian'? This person should have access to the services that may be able to assist Damian and his family.
