Not all the diagnoses require such a high speed scanning. Motionless organs such as a brain or a liver does not reqiure it. Scanning of moving organs such as heart requires it to get images without blurr. It's like a shutter speed of a camera.
You laugh but pre-CT that's how they did axial tomography! (CT scanners were originally called CAT - Computed Axial Tomography - scanners.) The patient sat on a rotating stool, the film cassette was mounted nearby on a rotating mount (linked to the patient stool so they rotated in sync), the x-ray tube was mounted the other side of the patient. When the x-ray was taken the patient and film rotated, the relative motions of the patient and film blurred out everything except the part of the body that was on the axis of rotation. I used to work on medical devices, including CT scanners, but never saw a pre-CT axial tomography system (but learnt about them!).
Would be interesting to have see through covers instead of white ones. Its so boring during the scan and you dont even have a clock ticking down how long you still have to be laying still.
It would be slower indeed. G forces scale with radius and RPM², so going down a factor of 4 on RPM would require going up from a 60cm washing machine drum to a 9.6m diameter MRI machine to compensate. They're big, but not that big. Stick with your washing machine.
We need scanners with transparant covers...hospital visits are gonna be so exciting!
I imagine some patients would be absolutely terrified
@@bigchungusus Some patients are terrified of this already, so it doesn'T matter.
Thanks to these life saving devices that health problems can be diagnosed
I'm glad they leave the cover on while you actually get a scan
It would be unsafe physically otherwise
You don't say?
They should make it see through! :D
@@imperialofficer6185they should well for me it would look pretty cool but for others I don’t know
@@kreuner11 Not if you keep your hands in your pockets.
I've already scanned 3 or 4 of them and it's really impressive, it looks like a huge washing machine.
I too had one taken once, suprisingly, I came out just as dirty as I went in.
Спасибо! Уже ничего не болит!))
Если заболит по настоящему, тебе уже будет пофиг... И КТ, и МРТ))
we should Spin the Patient instead 😅
Yeah it would save a lot of money not going to lie
Wow good spinning !
That sound 0:01 Departure of the Russian high-speed train Like Sapsan
Its because the Sapsan train was also built by Siemens. 😅

The real cheap models just spin the patient

I’ve had several of theses during my cancer treatments. I’m glade they had covers over them😂😂😂😂

It'll be a snowy day in hell before they put me in one after seeing this.
Corrr you could spin dry a lot of clothes in that drum.😂
МРТ. Или кт?

I just had a CT scan done on 1/15/24, and it sounded like that thing was gettin it!
Has there ever been a mechanical failure on one that injured the person in the middle?
No.
I bet i could hop through that with a tricycle

I wish my w machine spinning that Speed so I get my washing in less than a second …..
washing machines are around 1000 to 1600rpm depending on the model and brand, this is less than 400rpm, so it would be slower
