I would like to suggest you get a SW Shield Plus. That way you wouldn't have to get another holster. The 2.0 comes with a 10, 13 and 15 round magazine. Plus I found out that there are 32 round magazines available.
@@conlanmcgregor7621 in an actual survival sense do you really think you would need that? I feel like between a flashlight and a gun you probably only need one at any given time. Because if you're in a situation where you need the gun you probably don't want to give your location away with a flashlight. Although I've certainly have never been in that situation either though lol
@@conlanmcgregor7621 yeah true, but if you were in your house you are going to use something bigger than a 9mm though. This is designed to be carried because it is lighter when you are away from your house. At least that is what my impression is. If someone was breaking into my house I would be grabbing my shotgun for sure.
Hello from Caldwell. You and Garand Thumb are my go to for information on everything prepping and tactical. Keep up the good work. You are helping people be better prepared. And, I love my Hellcat Pro.
I'm a blue-collar worker. Maintenance man, in the trades. For cuts, I use a paper towel and a roll of electrical tape to stop the bleeding. Band-aid's just don't stay on.
Hey Joe! I carry a Springfield hellcat pro for my EDC. Definitely highly recommend it. 15+1, accurate, reliable and affordable. They also make a +2 baseplate for the mags now.
I recommend the Canik MC9. Standard 12 round mag with a 15 round extension mag. Accepts all Canik mags and it's super compact and very comfortable and accurate.
On your pistol if the mag capacity is too low for you just buy some extensions to increase it and carry an extra couple of longer magazines on your belt
Greetings from Boise, and thanks for another great video. On the EDC pew-pew, I went through the same thing, after carrying a G26 for years. I switched to a 12-round extended G26 mag which also gives a better grip on the gun, and the G26 also takes my G19 (15-rd) and G17 (17-rd) mags (or the 32-rd if you want to go crazy). About 2 years ago I switched to a Springfield Hellcat, which is even smaller than the Glock, and so easy to carry esp in summer clothes. It comes with an 11-round (11+1) and 2 x 13-round mags, so a better capacity overall. It has a red dot and is extremely easy to get fast shots off. However, in reading the other comments, I'd say your best bet would be to stay with S&W and go with the 2.0. Its a great gun as well and you'll be instantly familiar with it. Keep up the great work.
I gotta suggest the shield plus I've had it a year or more. The t l r six will swap right over to it, and you can probably still use the holster 10 13 and 15 round mags
Just finished my get home bag. Lot of cheap stuff but will upgrade after I get all my other kits done. Been really enjoying your content and it’s helped me build my setup. Thanks
May I suggest a TQ and a space blanket in your EDC. I also noticed there's duplicate items between your EDC and Get Home bags. Not a horrible thing but I feel they should piggy back off each other to utilize space, just my opinion. I do like your setups though.

Glock is a good choice of course, but if you want a seamless upgrade, I'd suggest the Shield Plus. It is so close to the same footprint of your current carry, so much so that you can use your current holster and very likely your TLR-6. It would give you 10, 13, and 15 round options for magazines and it is just as reliable as its single stack brother while maintaining an identical manual of arms.
I recently got a shield plus that came with a black sling bag, four 13 round mags, one ten round mag and a little boo-boo kit, all included. I added a iwb holster and so far it has replaced my Glock 43 as my edc gun.
Not a fan of micro compacts. I believe every ccw weapon should be a Glock 19 size, lol. If you really like the small size, check out the Shield Plus. When I do carry it, it’s in 13+1 in a small size.
I carry the Taurus pt111 It’s 12+1 capacity it’s about the same size as the smith and Wesson shield. Very good fun for 250 to 300 dollars. I keep it in my truck when I’m at work and I can’t carry so wouldn’t be to upset if someone broke in my truck and I lost a gun that cost double like the s&w
Get a glock 43x and use palmetto state armory micro dagger magazines. They are 15 round magazines and you do not have to change your mag release to metal
I switched from a Shield to a Glock 43x to a Sig p365xl with Macro mags and havent looked back. I loved the 43x but the shield arms mags weren't reliable enough for me.
