Sidelining gates like that is how areas get permanently closed

The bridge crossed Cabin Creek, that was not a river, it was a piddling creek.

I cant give out place names here. I try to not bring too much attention to areas ive been however I do not discourage people from going exploring. If you would like to join us on future trips the facebook page is a great place for a group to get together and go out explore. Events are posted there or you can post a trip your planning and see if anyone wants to join you. Just make sure you are prepared for the area you are in and have people with you who can help

In Washington we have a thing called gatekeepers at certain trails. Where there will be a path around a gate that keeps new/ un skilled drivers from trying too hard of a trail.

Gatekeeper’s are not referring to literal gates that are locked, and not specific to Washington.

The area is Stampede Pass. I try not to advertise exact points of interest on my trips but instead encourage people to go explore the area its easy to drive through in the warmer days of the year but it does get closed off for tracked vehicles when the snow falls. Stampede pass is my favorite place, it has lots of scenary through the pass. I recommend going late spring to fall. Have fun out there!

If you are new to offroading i would avoid the cabin creek section. Its tight and requires good ground clearance. This time of year the water levels could be much higher at the crossings. Stampede pass is closed to wheeled vehicles until spring (maybe april). The ideal time to explore is mid to late summer when the snow is gone.
