Stunning looking boat ...
Lovely boat indeed.
How about a tour of the engine room?
Gracias,una verdadera belleza..
Wow, I'll take one!
I’d give up some of the laserette space to engine room access, crew quarters....you pick
This kind of boat that fits my choice. A long range boat that can cross a big ocean. It's amazing.
Why don’t you show engine room?
I love this classic styles, but I don't know how I feel about the space design. Actually, I don't know because you guys didn't bother to really show us much. Where is the dining area? Is the galley designed for extended use? How much storage space does each cabin have? Any washing machines on board? What's the salon look like? No offense, but show us the boat.
Go to the company's Web site for layout drawings, options lists, etc.
It's all there, the boat is near perfect
@@genecoppola4420 Not perfect, it has a Volvo engine...
There is a washer and dryer, just past fridge. Eating area is shown. Only real issue is access to engine for daily maintenance checks. How to deploy and operate “get-home engine”
When you say classic style you mean a boat that is meant to be used rather than spend it's time in a marina in the South of France like a floating hotel!
That was it? A review seriously 5 quick minutes at low res video ,, Trans Atlantic range ok! so what is the actual range at 7.5 knots then? Guys 'The Boat Show' on RUclips makes this kind of review actually interesting to watch this is turd boring to watch ~ and 720p really cant you afford real HD 1020p video ~ kinda feel sorry for the Elling E6 deserves better than this
Why can’t you enter the engine room from Master or thru floor of saloon.. how do you do daily engine checks?
In will own one soon. ✊👏😎
How long would it take to obtain one of these boats?
Is it possible to replace the front sun pad because it looks disgusting the way it is
very nice looking boat
what's the range?
Lancha dos sonhos.
Your videos would be so much better if, instead of focusing the camera on the person conducting the review, you focused more on the features of of the boat.

My main concern is access to the engines.
gerard haubert It’s super easy - the „cupboards“ on the starboard side of the galley are actually the hatches which, if removed, give you direct access to both the main and, as far as I understand, the redundancy engine.
Why do none of the Elling videos show the access to the engine for daily maintenance etc
gerard haubert because its probably a maintenence nightmare :)
I guess its main entrance is trough upper salon hatch, and seeing the plans its very tight compartment anyway.Another educated guess is that there is possibility for stairs removal and access also from there... but whatever is true, full walk around engine is not there... so there you go
@@stormtrooper9404 the motor can be reached from 3 sides. from the kitchen, from the small cabin with the bunk bed and from the owner's cabin. all daily maintenance couldn't be easier. a well thought out system.
they do. You are watching the wrong videos. There is a long Elling dutch documentary on youtube
Talk about a Dutch boat, it even has bikes in the lazarette 🤣 Nice boat, nice video, nonetheless!
Would like more shade in rear
There is absolutely no chance I would make a trans Atlantic crossing in a single engine motor yacht, no matter what the range! It's either two engines or a sail boat.
@cornskid The fuel system for the wing engine is a separated system. They know what they do.
There are quiet a lot of passage motor yachts with only one engine and they all have proven it works. I fairly enough stick to my SY but I’m getting older and the work is getting harder so I’m eying with a nice MY than could bring me over the Atlantic in a comfortable manner. The E6 would be a candidate, more than a Nordhavn (looking too much like a fish trawler) or Kadey-Krogen (looking a wee bit better than Nordhavn) but still not my style. The E6 turns itself back up (tested) so I think it might be a good choice
that was my first thought
it doesnt matter. a lot of people already did. a russian took through the atlantic.
Her lines is that of a fpb boat, like a sailboat
What really makes these boat videos work are all the armchair experts who know how they should have been made. Who needs a boat show?
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid forgot the login password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@George Markus Instablaster =)
You say they're in the "Nordhavn breed"...I hope they don't come with the issues Aurora had when she was delivered fresh from the factory.
I would really like to see a version with a pair of ~450hp IPS drives instead of the main and wing engine layout.
You need, or at least very much want, a prop and a rudder for going displacement speeds in rough water. Semidisplacement hulls like the Elling, are already sacrificing rear lateral-plane compared to deeper displacement gulls, even with their rudders ands keg. At displacement speeds, IPS is also much less efficient than straight shaft. There's a god bit of drag, compared with a straight shaft. And, for out-of-the-way long term cruising, a prop with a skeg protecting it, rather than pods with the prop at the leading edge, is less likely to suffer damage.
IPS is really a planing boat drive. Or even a planing-boat-used-in-tight-and-crowded-environments drive (sterndrives, not to mention surface drives, have advantages once out in the open.)
As for "issues": Elling has enormously long model runs. Rarely (more like almost never....) introduces new boats. Nor change existing ones.. They're as conservative as Toyota. And are very (to some annoyingly so) apprehensive about allowing any customisations which could conceivably be even the least bit "risky." While the Dutch marine industry, is already near universally capable of almost guaranteeing mature-Hallberg-Rassy-designs-like initial quality ad freedom from "issues," even on fully custom one-off boats. Add the two together and, while nothing is guaranteed, it's hard to imagine a less risky bet, than this. You have to like it for what is is though. They'll just expect you to instead go get a one-off designed and built, if your wants deviate much at all, from what they are comfortable putting their name on.
2 450 hp jets ate gaster mire eferçñy
@@paulnorman8274 Sorry for not replying earlier as I didn't see the notice. Thank you for the excellent explanation...it clears up a lot of things for me!
How can you mess up a video like that???
I wish
volume issues!!
Yeah, the audio engineer should be keel hauled. ;-)
Get this man a lavalier mic.
Agree!!!
Can the E6 right itself after a capsize?
Is a "get home" engine included...no mention of mechanics
Yes, all the Ellings are self-righting.
Yes, there is a 900 HP Volvo Penta D13 diesel main engine, and a 75 HP Volvo Penta D2 diesel engine with shaft drive and folding prop for the "get home."
@@gerardhaubert8210 it was mentioned and also told that it makes a max speed of 7 knots
I'd be scared to cross the Atlantic in that.
scared
Starting price?
Some of the smaller bolts on the boat should cost less than a dollar. Keep in mind that you'll need a lot more than a few bolts to be sea worthy. Good luck with your boating!
2 Million range
Ich möchte mehr vom Boot und wenig vom Mann sehen.
How much is this boat?
Around $2m
You can actually talk while showing the boat...
💪🙏👍🙂❤🇺🇦
Are you ashamed of your engine room,…you never show it or access to it
It's primarily a semi displacement boat. Not a Beebe-style passage maker optimised for Pacific Crossings fist, all else a distant third.
It will cross oceans, at sailboat speeds, but the expectation is that most of the usage will be more "normal" powerboat usage. If a boat is bought for constant ocean crossings, a proper, deeper (hence easier to fit an engine room) displacement hull is a much better option anyway.
Hence, since there is already _very_ good access to every part of the engine and mechanicals despite not having a separate, full-beam, standing-headroom walk-around-engine-room-with-a-workbench-and-a-toolchest; priorities were instead put on using that space for more day-to-day (for normal usages of the boat) usable living quarters. It's not as if having to open a hatch or two once a day during a crossing, will result in your engine conking out mid Atlantic. Big engine rooms are nice. But so is room for other stuff. In a boat still compact enough to be manoeuvrable and affordable.
It maybe my inexperience but I enjoy the peace of mind two engines gives me. Other than that, I want one, just how to sweat talk the wife and sell a child. I should think they cost a pretty penny also.
This has a "wing engine," AKA a "get home engine" in case of a main-engine failure, but the reality is that most ocean-going vessels of this size have only one main engine. The most-common cause of engine problems is fuel contamination, and that would cause problems with a second engine as well, unless you always ran them from separate tanks and filled the tanks at different locations. With multiple filters, fuel polishing systems, etc., there's no real reason to worry too much, but the wing engine is there for peace of mind.
very nice looking boat
