How did I know that you have a book in you? Everyone has a book in them. Everyone has a story, that's how I see it.
My son has been in the NICU 100 days and was born at 25 weeks. You don't realize the blessings you experience every day until you see someone you love struggle to do something as simple as breathe and eat. Be thankful for what you have and don't squander your gifts. My little man gave me the strength to go from never running, to completing a marathon in 10 weeks. Excuses are for those that need them, so get off your ass and start making things happen! I could have very easily became depressed, drank excessively and felt down on my situation. I am thankful that early on I came to the realization that life is all about perspective and I have complete control over my thoughts, which dictate how I feel. If I don't want to feel sad or weak, I remove all sad and weak thoughts.
maan! this is a tremendous speech and it changed my life the minute the video end. I feel impowered to grind 120% and not just dream about it thats old days. its 2016 Im 18 i watched my mom struggle my whole life and i used to wash out of save alot containers and sleep on the floor for several years of my life.. never had a father to watch my growth. i used to run the house while my mother went out and sold drugs to put money in the house. my momma was sick and i used to take care of my momma before i did anything for my self. im from columbus ohio and the way i see something i want i say to my self go get it. its like second nature because anything u believe in your power u will know from the darkness, how to fight blindfolded.
know what i mean? Every year im losing family members and i lost my grandma the closes person to me and it seem that i blinked and the minute my eyes open i felt like my world was quick sand.
the pain had me in a daze that i couldnt just jump out of
but i started usin that pain as power and im still in the process of becoming a legendary hiphop artist because i want it. My son drives me and gives me the strength to raise him and do the what my dad couldnt do.
I talked to my father on the phone before, i said pops! why u never look after me?, he said yo mom. insteadly stopped him and said my mom is not the reason u not in my life. yall both fighting but she been a mother my whole life and i asked so what were you doing pops and he hung up.
from that day forward i knew whether my mom left my life or my father i have to take ownership to my life and do whats best for my own family.

What up E! I'm a huge fan I watch your videos on a daily basis, your principles are of great help and encouragement! I just have a question, in the video "learn to listen" you mention how money is not a big factor as to why you do what you do, however in this video it sounds like money is a factor. I understand we gotta get paid for our efforts, however, I'm just trying to understand the difference.. thanks bro!
i have been trying to understand the meaning of what it means and for me what i understood is that even though you get money and get paid it won't change the fact that you'll still have your unresolved problems (money won't give you happiness) but as you said you have to value yourself and get paid for your efforts even though it will not make you feel fulfilled .
