I finally understood what Aspire is after watching many RUclips videos which they'd never say what it is and just implemented it. Thank you so much. It's actually an outstanding product. I'm gonna use it in my future apps. I've been staying with .NET because of these things. ❤
@@UndeadSasuke34 It does not. It's kind of cloud only at the moment. Or as a dev orchestrator to give insight during development. No support for "more traditional" on-prem scenarios at the moment.
@@JeffreyTFritz-dk2nr Would love that! Some of us a "stuck" working on solutions for customers that needs to run in an on-prem environment, using the classic windows tools such as IIS, Services etc. But we'd love to add Aspire to that for that excellent insight to the extent that we can.
AddServiceDefaults configures a bunch of items in HttpClient and HealthChecks. MapServiceDefaults adds those http endpoints to the webserver as middleware
Haven't seen any examples or videos, so far, on deployment to production environment. I don't want the "management site (aspire)" exposed to the public; only my public facing site/api. For instance, how do I deploy an aspire site to a VM with IIS? I would like to RDP and run the aspire site on the VM for management purpose but have the app exposed to public.
Does anyone know how one can make powershell look like Jeff’s? I use zshell with a bunch of extensions in WSL but it would be nice to also have some goodies directly in powershell
Can you produce a Chinese localization package for each version? Your official only supports the local intelligent prompt localization package of .NET 5.
@@katiesavage9154 Hi thanks for the query. Now I can see the captions. I must point out that on this particular channel (dotnet) I had multiple times in the past had this issue of "Captions/Subtitles unavailable". Not sure what's the reason. Hope the dotnet channel admins always make sure captions working. There's no automation for IIS. So, you deploy manually and provide configuration the way you did before aspire.
Is there a link to the START-WITH-API repo ? I can´t find it.

Major downside is you cant kill or create services in realtime, its a static set of services from launch to end
What scenario do you have in mind for dynamic services?
