I purchased the original one a few years back from Milwaukee after being in the landscaping business for 30 years the industry standard was the echo gas . When I came across the Milwaukee a few years ago, looking to switch over the battery I couldn’t believe how much it mimicked as far as weight and power to the echo gas. But over the years, I saw Milwaukee started switching things to mimic for homeowners first being the shield why they change the shield I don’t know years ago. They had the exact shield as the industry-standard echo did then they switched and put a motor down by the bottom instead of the top, which I believe you can still still buy both models either down by low or up top . Now I see they’re selling this model with two batteries with the extra weight. I’ve never had an issue with the single battery version more than enough to do several homes.. What so many of these companies don’t understand if they’re trying to go after the commercial I know they want both commercial and residential but if they’re trying to go after the commercial and whether it’s the weed trimmers / hedge trimmers what have you? . The weight of the machine with the battery ( is everything ) which will make a break a sale. This particular model may be good for some people that want a lot of power and a lot of runtime but for grabbing it to do daily trimming around houses not necessary just my opinion.
Thank you so much for your input! It’s good to hear a perspective from another person that is knowledgeable about equipment. I really do like the string trimmer a lot. I like how it has a battery gauge on it to help you maintain how much energy you are using. Thanks for watching the video and if you have any questions in regards to anything with the Waukee landscape tools, feel free to ask away. God bless! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I recently bought the Milwaukee M18 brushcutter, it cuts fine, but why isn't it dual battery, but the strimmer is? I get about 20 mins per 8.o battery. Have to finish jobs with my Husqvarna 535LK! Feel like I've wasted £600! I can get bigger 12.o batteries, but that's another £350 for two!!!😮
@@mylawnbarber Yes that is what I am trying to do... and yes there is a attachment for the Quiklock system. But I would like to put a brush cutter blade onto the Dual Battery String Trimmer
@@mylawnbarber it is a fairly common modification. I have always put on a brush cutting blade on my weeders. I was super excited to have the same setup on the dual battery. Luckily, I put on Milwaukees 105 grade line and that handles the thicker stuff fairly well.
@@TheeProfessor23 The 105 is good line. And that’s nice that you do that with your string trimmers. I would suggest looking for a tutorial video on how to remove the head. Maybe I need to make a video on that huh? Thanks for your support! Gif Bless! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
biggest problem is 16lb of weight. Definity don't want to use that all day without a strap. might as well have a bicycle handle attached. even Stihl's biggest string trimmer only weighs 14lb also milwaukee compares their string trimmer to the stihl 31cc model, specifically the fs111r / 111rx. Yes its more powerful but it is 4 / 5lbs heavier. makes no sense in their comparisons.
Thanks for the comment! So yeah that makes it 2 lbs heavier. Honestly, you really don’t need a lot of power when you are doing maintenance. In the long run, this will save your lungs on breathing gas and spending money on gas. Thanks for your comment! God Bless! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
This unit is an absoluted animal nothing will stall this beast
And it’s great for the tall grass. Thanks for watching! God Bless! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Next QUESTION is the power unit on the Head or by the BATTERY'S
Great Question! The Powerhead is on the end of where the logo is. Thanks for asking. God Bless! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

PLEASE HELP!! Anyone know how to remove the head and put on a blade? I cannot get the head off to put the brush cutter blade on. PLEASE HELP!!
So are you trying to put a brush cutter blade on this tool? There is a brush cutter attachment for the QuikLok system.
@@mylawnbarber Yes that is what I am trying to do... and yes there is a attachment for the Quiklock system. But I would like to put a brush cutter blade onto the Dual Battery String Trimmer
@TheeProfessor23 Seems like an interesting modification. However, I would recommend just to buy the Dedicated Brush cutter or the QuikLok attachment.
