Just look at T1 vs BLG. Faker and Zeus died and BLG tried to do Baron 5v3. T1 didn't panic. They knew BLG had Ahri/Jhin and couldn't do the Baron that fast. They approached properly by clearing vision. They knew Zeus had TP and would get there soon. They then synchronized their engage with Oner/Guma having perfect target selection. Then won the fight and got Baron.

LEC teams do not understand that doing a 5 vs 4 baron isn't 100% safe it's more the times u lose it and get aced then u get it cause baron shreds damages and cc your team . Lec teams also greed baron 5 vs 1 where the 1 iis the enemy jungle and they paid a won game against T1 for this . 2 important games lost to baron

@@theteamxxx3142 The point in this video isn't just that. The play is correct but they play it out super poorly 90% of the time. Taking 5v4 around baron is the correct play if 2 of the enemy team is still coming from base, 7:42 . If you don't do it, a winning game state will turn into an even one, or even worse you will bleed out slowly from playing too passive.

@@jenzu4229 There are many micro mistakes that ended up in them losing, at the beggining of the fight caps retreats while on taric ult so we missed a good amount of dmg that he could have done wihtout retaliation. If Hans sama flashes on Elk's face he could have stun him with taric e (he was pretty close when that happened) and even if ezreal cleanses akali would destroy him very quickly, if Hans sama pops E a second earlier Rumble dies. If they commit and all 4 of them just go front face against elk he can't kill them all.
There are a lot of tiny mistakes, G2 could have won that but at the end of the day its about performance. They did great and I'm pretty sure they could have won that but thats in the past. Its good to know they have the abilitie to come back from that point in the game

good analysis on ur part i think theres also a desperation element cuz T1 legit could not give that baron or they lose. its just a type of play that a team like FNC would never go for or even realise they can 3v5 cause theyre so shriveled up in their own thoughts, theyre so afraid of throwing further so they sit there and watch G2 takes everything, the baron, the nexus, the summer cup, the season final cup, their entire life morgage etc

I agree with Dom that teams are soft giving up. As a fan of LEC, teams got complacent with potentially only being 2nd best in the region and maybe only trying to show up on game day instead of proving themselves day to day. You know who want to prove themselves? Rookies. The era of Perkz and Caps only happened because EU invested in their rookies in 2015. So many good rookies showed up within the timeframe of 2015-2018, and 2018-2020 FNC, G2 were the products of this evolvement. I think Mad lions and Rouge did a very nice job after this era and made good teams from rookies as well, and I respect MAD for getting to worlds with 4 rookies(the only teams that really did bring new players for a long time), but we hold onto old values for too long and lack the mindset of innovation in our region to prosper these rookies to new heights. Instead we invest into the good old players, stagnate our league and put the our eggs in the only basket that can do anything - G2.

It's beyond insane to me that G2 has this many wins in the LEC, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2024 they won everything, and even in most of those other years they maybe only lost one finals, looking at 2022 and 2023. I bet that other LEC teams look at it as competing amongst themselves to fight for second believing that they will just lose to G2 in the finals.
The only reason a team should win that much in a single region is because either there isn't enough done to push the other teams to improve their infrastructure or the other teams have conceded any kind of ambitions (even long term) of being successful because of G2. Which is why I think we hear stories about players like Humanoid and how he will soft int games he feels are lost in scrims. They don't think that they can win and so soft give up on achieving anything.
For me this is the key reason EU has fallen off so much, most of the ambitions of winning are lost and they don't know what they can do to change it, so are stuck in this status quo of thinking its not a certain player or coaches fault so keep them around for a year or 2 longer than they should be.

I blame ocelote/Carlos. In 2018 Fnatic and G2 were competitive, then g2 stole FNC's best player (caps). FNC somehow recover and in 2020 they almost beat TES in a bo5 at worlds. Then G2 steal their best player again (rekkles), and prevent perkz from going to a LEC team (the contract was later deemed illegal for how controlling it was). Then rekkles doesnt work, so G2 have worsened both themselves and FNC, but instead of letting rekkles go back to a different LEC team they send him to KC, effectively ending his career.
In summary, g2 sent 2 of the 3 best LEC players of all time to different regions, continually made their only real rival weaker, then get surprised when the region becomes anti-competitive and the quality of LEC drops massively.

As an LEC fan I can say - that is true. The LEC itself is to blame for the bad past results. People are most of the time chilling and accepting. I mean out of 10 teams 8 get out of the first round - that is not right!!! And you have too many chances to get to worlds and literally chill until summer and still be able to get there. That's not correct. There is rly G2 that just really wants to compete at international level. Fnatic which should be competitive too until 2019 which was 8 years of from the first season on, just "accepted" that there are good enough to get to worlds, but there you don't expect any results. And the other teams ... I have the feeling that MOST of the players don't grind, because they are scared of failure... because it hurts if you give ur best and lose. So yeah, atm we are a 1 team region and I hope that changes again. I expected nothing from NA - i mean EU won MSI and Worlds and also have more Runners ups in Worlds too. I think NA go the only runners up at season 1 where FNATIC won worlds, but this is the first year I have to say that FLY and TL - NA can be proud of them, because they are promissing teams. Would like to have watched a FLY vs Weibo Quaters, because GENG ... that's impossible to win. Anyways, wish you a good luck NA and hope you will give them some good games.

MDK with Armut, Elyoya, Huma, Carzzy & Kaiser
FNC with Bwipo, Selfmade, Perkz, Rekkles & Hyli

What we got instead Perkz was sent to fucking NA ,Rekkles was taken away and lured by empty promises to G2 and THAN got sent to shadow realm in KC after being pretty much best player in g2. Which than led to ROgue next year do same shit and fuck EU region even more splitting the talent even further apart.
G2 made its own bed. You wanna blame FNC/MDK/BDS for not being a good competitor ? Fine but remember its the G2 that started this chain of events and made orgs to implement all these fucked up clauses and stupid buyouts to not let their players join teams in their region.
League is a game of knowledge game and competition at this point. Mechanics are 2nd tier atm. Almost everybody can farm properly and play their 3-5 champions to close perfection. Rekkles and Perkz are some of the smartest ppl when it comes to this game. Take them away and you effectively take away years and years of knowledge . Now couple that with sending Inspired/hans sama/Bwipo to fucking away and you can see the ripple effect on how teams play years later. Game sense isnt something you are gonna develop in 2nd tier divisions it takes time and experience.

The thing I've always noticed with EU is that it's basically G2 and others in recent years.
I agree that some of it is probably the other teams being okay with losing, but I think the reason they're so beaten down is because G2 spends at least half of their domestic games literally trolling and still win most of those convincingly simply because EU as a whole isn't strong enough to compete with them unless G2 troll especially hard... Like in LEC playoffs by dropping a random Irelia top in game 5 vs MDK's hyper mobile team and Vi, or picking Noc-Ori into two of the most mobile ADC's in the game, or their attempts at making Gwen jungle a thing when she wasn't even meta in Top. No one taking their opponents seriously would ever make those calls, but G2 doesn't care, because they don't take their opponents seriously and in a lot of cases, they don't have to.

So... your just saying LEC needs to be more competitive? I agree with that. A lot of teams need to begin swapping players out. Heard G2 is letting Yike and Mikyx explore options. Fnatic should get a new mid and maybe a change in the bot lane duo. Same goes for the LCS teams. I think TL needs to swap out their Jungle for someone else and they can import that in and splurge a little. Flyquest hasnt lost yet but make Bwipo a coach or something he is washed. Every team has little things they can change but i agree LEC as a whole has been G2 and no one else. Just zero resistance in the last 2-3 years. I feel at times maybe they need the crazy player like a Hylissang or a Jeonghoon with elite pocket picks. Something that gives them a bit of an edge for G2. Or just bring some young prospect up that has good mechanics. I felt the relatableness to this team was the fact at times this team had no imports it is strictly an EU team. So... it might feel weird to import but we will see what they do. There is truth to the memes against some NA teams like TL which was like 4 Koreans and FQ has 1 Korean but then 2 EU players. I feel G2 might understand that connection and choose not to import but it will be hard to ignore acquiring players that have massive talent that might come for cheaper than they have before.

I dunno, I think the baron play by g2 they should be playing to turn way earlier on the baron, at the beginning hans and miky are positioned to block bin and on from entering, but they let them walk up for free 2 v 4 because caps is afk or something. Then they still don't turn when on wiffs his stun when its still 2 v 4, and they don't turn until after knight arrives then they just get hands diffed. Hans should be tripple killing them for free here but his spacing is fucking awful, he has flash and no one on enemy team does, but instead of positioning forward and baiting them with his flash he just does 0 dmg cause he's spacing too far away and can't hit, then wastes his flash just to walk into the stun anyway because he isn't positioning up he's positioning down and gets fucked by rumble ult and sylas for it. An adc with good fight awareness and who can count and is aware of enemy cooldowns should be hard carrying this situation imo. And if I'm playing kalista in this game in solo queue, I'm flaming my ryze being fucking useless.

  • @Ztsakkeus
    @Ztsakkeus 2 месяца назад +1

I have not watched the video yet, but as Fnatic fan since season 2 I CAN TELL YOU what is wrong with eu teams.
Its that theres no "dictators" No leaders no heroes no identity. Teams take the safe way, "copy" the good teams and they try their best. No amount copying good teams and doing it their way will NEVER EVER win in International level. Sure you can stumble around into rank 2 in LEC just because of the caliber of players, but if your team has no "identity" they will not outplay team with Better players.
EU has worse players, if they want to win they need to play as a team THEIR WAY. Not the way koreans play or etc.
MDK was worst team to qualify from play-ins and FNC was worst team qualified already in Swiss. Neither had ANY chance to win ANY GAME against eastern teams.
G2 well, they are best players in EU, and they have some identity(they might be better team if their competition wasnt fucking FNC).
Still they picked Orianna and Nocturne 1 and 2, sure its nice combo. Tough against world class team you will tell your gameplan in first 2 picks, kinda easy to play against straticly right?
Flyquest played nunu right? So imagine their enemy played a team that was super tanky, but super SLOW... so flyquest went with speed and easily won.
This is what you need to do in international level, you cannot just play the "tutorial(like white eggshell color, everyone has it everyone knows it" comb.
Personally i think G2 best games were the last 2 games from them against BLG, the ryze pick was the thing they needed too bad they panicked.
So how to fix EU teams = you need a DICTATOR in game and DICTATOR outside game, basicly you need a good leader who can tell WHAT to do after the chaos of teamfights ends.
Decision making is EXTREMELY slow on EU teams to the point they dont make fucking decision they let enemy make them.
Then they need to find their way of playing, for example G2 caps on Agency champs that have a threath is 10x more harder to play against than orianna caps. Just because something is good and in meta, does not mean you "need" to play it. You can also use the meta to your advantage otherways.
And lastly the region as a whole need to grow some fucking balls. Ill be honest i dont know much about picks or high elo LOL. The feeling these eU teams eminate on rift is fear, confusion and cowardice. From coaching staff to picks to the way calls are made in game and out are just smelling like part fear.
Can the EU teams just play in the way they can have pride in their WORK and EFFORT they put in? Last 3 worlds, there were only few players who played like they were PROUD of them self.
You can only be proud of your self, when you take the shit seriously. There are not many players who can say they are proud of their EFFORT.
Lastly the orgs, i guess they cost so much to run so they take the easy way. Get top placements in LEC all good. Well guess what, its not "all good"... last season of LOL was so fucking boring. LEC, worlds most games EU teams played were just boring to hell. Everyone played the same, same thing everytime all the time.
Will not fix writing errors on my rant, seriously concidering not watching FNC games anymore: its been what 5 - 6 years since they won something? 4 years since they were evenclose to winning? Honestly the team closest to Wage stealing is Fnatic team members from coaching, owners to players. I guess there is effort, but it definetly isnt genuine effort. Why hit your head against a wall, when you could make geniuine effort and get a FUCKING hammer.

Riot wouldn't let this happen since this basically abandons the regular season or would significantly decrease its duration in order to fit in more tournaments. Plus CS has a lot of tournament organizers with their own funding/sponsoring while Riot is basically just themselves. While I do think these could be a great idea to increase regional competitiveness, they would have to make serious changes to their system + find sponsors.

@@carlotan8712 I just want to point out that it didn't just end up that way by accident. Riot strictly controls the LoL tournament scene because they don't want anyone else getting a piece of the pie, at the expense of the quality of competition. The Swiss stage is a perfect example of them sacrificing real competitiveness for empty hype by giving scrub-tier regions every chance possible to make it to worlds and get 3-0'd or 3-1'd just because it brings in money. CS was far more open from the start, and by the time Valve realized the whole e-sports thing was serious, most of the big tournaments were already established and there would have been massive pushback in trying to centralize everything into a handful of Valve events. As a result the CS scene, despite having way less money in it than LoL for most of its lifetime, is way healthier than LoL because teams aren't just trying to survive until Worlds and then lose, but rather aiming for the next Cologne or IEM or what have you. CS isn't without its problems obviously (it massively centralized in Europe after covid) but Riot seems to genuinely not care about its own competitive scene as long as people are still dropping cash on it.

If G2 lost to all the Asian team now they probably still lost to them in quarters so why does it even matter? The expectation for G2 should be higher than getting out of the groups, it should be actually beating Asian teams. FLY making out of groups matters to them because they never had this kind of success, G2 has made as far as Finals at MSI so why does it matter if they get out of swiss or not? They still gonna get killed in quarters because they can't beat Asian teams. G2 also lost to NRG last year so what makes you think they won't lost to FLY or TL? It's not like NA got rolled over by Asian teams, they fought pretty hard against them as well, FLY was one team fight away from beating HLE in game 1.

How are you going to play when you face teams that are on paper stronger than you? Will you fold over and colapse? I think the real reason for it is ego , there is too many superstar players with ego.
If they took ownership of their own failures , then they would be more resistant, but these players push blame on their team mates and in return don't improve on their failures and don't learn how to play from loosing position.
They fold over as soon as a mistake is done. You saw it in all asian games , they have set plays from loosing positions , because they still understand how to play out fights and won't loose out on tempo much.

No, you can't have Inspired back! He's OUR Rookie Whisperer now. 😂🤞🏻
Jokes aside--sure, the concept of a G2 Inspired team sounds ubeatable on paper, but you have to remember that "superteams" like that tend to fail more often than they succeed. There ends up being too many strong voices trying to be the leader of the events of the game, and no one ends up actually listening or following the calls for plays. It happens over and over and over again. The main reason FlyQuest look so good at Worlds, aside from the fact that Inspired is very talented, is because the team itself is balanced with a rookie botlane and an accommodating mid who are more than happy to follow his lead on what is happening in the game and how to win from there. I just don't see that happening with G2 when BB/Caps are already in that role. 2 is company and 3's a crowd, as they say. *shrug* NA has picked up on the success of this model. We have begun putting even more teams together like this FlyQuest one. I think it's why 100 Thieves beat C9 and why TL has shown so much success this year as well (despite a super tough loss at the end here). As a fan of League in general, it's tough to watch the old guard retire (like Bjerg and Doublelift) but it's also exciting to watch the new guys (Danny, APA, Massu, etc) show up HUNGRY for wins and stage time and then actually deliver on their practice and performance. EU only did this with MAD, but I hope to see more teams like it and I hope MAD sees so much success next year, like TL did this year. 👍🏻

Another thing that hardcore griefs the region is this idiotic BO1 format. I'm not surprised teams soft ff, one bad earlygame and you are cooked for the week. The amount of actual games the LEC gets is insanely low, not to mention the scrim cancels. I'm not sure in which season it was but I do remember Romain posting how teams like FNC were just skipping scrims against them almost the entire season. So they don't practice against the strongest team, they don't contest them in the actual matches and they soft ff when the game looks bad because it's just a BO1. Half of the LEC plays not to be eliminated from the League itself, they don't even try to upset teams like G2. Meanwhile the other 3 are racing to be the 2nd so they get some money without tiring themselves out preparing against G2. During this, G2 doesn't actually give a shit about them, they drop random games sometimes because they are testing off-off meta crap, as they just win the playoffs anyway. They are actively trying to use the main season to prep for internationals - without any team to compete. If it was just 2-3 teams who were actually trying and weren't the Sad Lions.
Imho the current G2 is insanely strong and they were able to give some of the best teams in the world a very serious run for their money. However, only the W matters in the end.
