      I think its a psychological strategy to make the suspect open up. Moreover the way they react, and what they actually react helps a lot during interrogations. For example. They ask him all these twitch details and stuff, he normally answers them without even asking whats going on, is an evidence that he knows something valuable

    It’s really eerie how closely the first confrontation with the police officer mirrors how he described the confrontation with his father. The cop asks the same thing, “why do you think I’m here to talk to you?” And the dude is just like I dunno when previously he said that was how he always responded when his dad tried this kind of leading question. I wonder if this cop caught that in the story and decided to utilize it against the suspect when he started grilling him to give the same authoritative tone as the ones with his father.

      My fav is him getting frustrated and more or less saying “well youre not talking to us, so I want you to leave now” lmfao. Other detectives on JCS talk to criminals for 10+ hours, but dan is bored after 2 so he informs the suspect he doesn’t need to stay if he doesn’t want to, and then asks him if he wants to leave

      That is the main issue, my brother is literally the guy in the video, and i am afraid he will end up the same. He was my moms favorite and my father bullied him. Just like this kid. But in the end, since he was always forgiven for his retarded shit, he never had to grow up, and he still lives with my mother. Once he actually has to face the consequences of his actions, like this guy, he will probably lose it too.

      Yeah, but if you work much, you know it’s easy to be shoved into things you aren’t ready or trained for due to the workplace being short staffed.
      It was a bad interview and hard to understand how he made the choices he did, but I feel bad for him.
