There singing and rapping at the same time putting them both together that's what they do

the thing about consuming Bone for the first time is knowing that there are style eras. If you listen to a song that was made even 4 years apart, the style is totally different. So if you pick a song from each album you can get a splash of each style. on the flip side its so sick when you listen to an entire album at a time because you get to see the range of that one era of style used for that period in time. So there's some value in doing albums at a time

Thank you for your breakdowns on these because definitely the mix makes more sense now, the lyric videos always seem to be a problem, even genius had the wrong lyrics for many songs so I usually try to put a disclaimer that if these are wrong let me know what it was supposed to say...but with bone like you said, I can see people arguing over what was said. I honestly wanna go album to album because I like the progression from first taste of fame to super stars and where they go with their music. Like didn't bone thugs get more religious over time?

    • @questionableidentity1
      @questionableidentity1 Год назад +2

Figuring out what they say is half the fun. It'll just come with time. As it relates to them being religious, I think that's better showcased on their solo albums. It's like the Bone group tracks are samplers to what each member is capable of solo wise and their personalities shine ten fold in solo albums. Even taking that into account. Their solo album themes and styles change drastically album to album so you'll never get the same solo artist either. I'd say my least favorite solo member is flesh, but he does have a few gems here and there. Oddly though I think Flesh is amazing with the group

Yeah, the difference in sound from 95/96 to 97/98 was completely different. The Art of War is their most unique album in my opinion. They dropped some of the darkness and mystic and subbed in a little maturity and complexity in their bars, so a bit of give and take. I wish they would have kept the darkness but overall I think it's their best album.

@@JettimousReactionsYea, they did start singing more about God, Faith etc. Most record companies r not for that!! They want that MURDA MUSIC, The Gang shit etc.
Bone started going against the industry and speaking on world issues, God, The Illuminati .
Btw Ive noticed a few albums not mentioned by people for you .
You know about Faces of Death- Up til from what I can Tell
BTNH RESURRECTION. After that Album came
      THUG WORLD ORDER
      then
      Thug Stories
(a lot seem to leave that album out)
Then they signed with Full Surface records and made
      STRENGTH & Loyalty
(that’s the album with ‘I Tried)
Then came UNI5 The worlds Worst enemy.
      It had several 🔥 songs!
‘See me Shyne’ is a great track from it.
Then they released ‘Art of War: War world III’
      Which imo wasn’t that good.
There’s a few Collections albums also.

Hopefully this process of elimination will help you figure out which Bone is which. You'll come to realize that it's actually hard not to be able to tell each member apart:
You already know Krayzie and Wish when you hear them. Flesh is the one with the hush/whisperish sound, and Bizzy is the one with the high pitch voice. Through the process of elimination, the last one is Layzie. Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy, and Flesh have several solo projects, reacting to some of their solo work might help you recognize their voices better. Basically another process of elimination, because Wish is the only Bone member without a solo album. He does have a solo track on "The Art Of War" called "Getcha Thug On". Flesh is the only one that doesn't have his own track on "The Art Of War" album.
Fun fact: "Thug Luv" was originally Bizzy's individual contribution. The original features 2pac and a lady rapper by the name of Sylk E. Fyne. You can find the original version on RUclips. I have a friend that prefers the original over the remake/group commercial version because of its grittier sound. You should definitely add it to your list.

You gotta listen to BODY ROTT, Look into my Eyes (that track was on the Batman soundtrack/Video for it also) and If I could Teach the World!
    All on Art of War!
The album that BTNH released after AOW IS called BTNH RESURRECTION 🔥ALBUM!
You definitely gotta at some point get into Krayzie Bones 1st Solo ‘Thug Mentality 1999’ another double disc!
Between their group albums and Solos it’s a HUGE CATALOG!
Subbed too btw! BTNH 4 lyfe !

  • @questionableidentity1

the mixing is different album to album as well (you mentioned the voice being drowned out). there's a signature sound to each album as it relates to the mix. The Art Of War album is mixed with thick thumping yet focused bass that just hits hard and distorts nicely with a lot of dark sounds. oddly this album bumps best on summer nights. it just hits different

Look up MO THUGS FAMILY SCRIPTURES (1st Mo Thug Album) 2nd is- Mo Thug Family Reunion.

a lot of those lyrics are wrong, but then again if you ask anyone here, you'll get so many variations of what the lyrics actually are. Bone lyrics are one of those things where many people just agree to disagree. This all became more prevalent during and after this album. They started to rap about things they relate to (post fame), which is more interpersonal and they reference things specific to their situation and struggles. This becomes even more true with Bizzy Bone, and he is easily the most difficult member to understand because the words are difficult to understand, and once you get the words right, there's still another layer of symbolism you have to decipher. So it's full of layers
