I’m a gray area retiree. Currently 30 minutes from a military pharmacy. I will always live close to a military base with a slim chance of being closed.

So far that has been accidental for me, but I suspect that I'll feel the same way when it comes time to move.

@Platoon_Guide so as a grey area, are you getting the Tricare service? If so, how are you doing that? I thought it wasnt available until you start drawing the pension, at either 60 or at an early retirement. Thanks.

@ I’m not getting anything until I turn 60. But I still want to stay close to military bases. I have free healthcare until then anyway, retired city employee.

@Platoon_Guide ok, thanks. Best wishes when you get to there.

I’m Medicare (no Part D, no Advantage Plan) and Tricare for Life. I use a network pharmacy and get 3 generic medications for 90 days for $12. Express Scripts says they will save me money by charging $39. My pharmacy has automated refill, will contact my doctor if there is an issue, I can pick it up at the store or use local delivery-Express Scripts has “it’s in the mail.” If you have critical medications that need to be on time or not exposed to harsh weather I would seriously rethink mail order pharmacies.
