Nice! I remember when I was young always feeling like I didn't want to be a free advertisement for companies, but had trouble finding shirts without logos.
If you're a dancer or someone who likes to just work out you might find that it's really hard to find a pair of plain black workout shorts. Removed the logo with nail polish remover! Finally! Thanks!
Thank you! Can’t wait to try this. My Halara dress has a stupid little label on the back of the dress. People are always stopping me to help me remove something from my dress.
I hope this works as easy for me. I've got quite a few I need to eliminate old job logos, on some really decent nice quality shirts. I will update after I try it. WIsh me luck!
@@iqrandom9056 yes it did :) it left a teeeeny bit of white residue which just looks like a very faint greyed out logo, nothing like it was before though. Hardly visible. Good luck 👍
Thats pretty helpful, everything else says to use heat and water, but this is more effective. It nice you cant se the logos last location unless you're face is in the shirt.
Nice, any fabrics or colors that you know would be affected by the acetone? Also Curious why some people remove decals solely for the reason of not advertising. Usually the price of the garment is set by the logo on it. If you just like the garment, you could pay far less for the true brand of the garment elsewhere.
Unfortunately for me no one made what I was after here, the logo couldn't be showing for work. As far as fabrics I would check a small corner of a shirt or just try 1 before doing a bunch.
It will stain, the dawn soap and water presoak at the end of the video show you how to get it out. I've had no fabric damage personally doing it the way I show but I would recommend testing a piece of fabric before committing.
@@HouseDadLife, well that's what I get for not watching the entire video. Pardon me for not doing so, I've just seen multiple videos on this thus far and have yet to hear of your presoak method. Thank you for the prompt response, mate.
@@HouseDadLife, I do have another one for you. I noticed you used 100% acetone and I've heard this before. What is the importance of using 100%? I ask because I picked up a cheap bottle of nail polish remover and although it's still close to 100%, it's adulterated. What are the risks of using a tainted solution? Oh, also, is there any reason I should not use a formal pre-treat stain remover like Lestol? Thanks.
I was concerned about residue that's why I specified. Dawn was something my wife used in previous stain remove recipes, it's why I grabbed it, I would think other stain removers would work, I just haven't tested them.
how long can the acetone stay on the cotton before you need to wash it? I have a shirt with a gigantic print logo on it and im afraid I'd take too long getting it off
I had my hopes up but custom logo on work shirts did not come off, lots of scrubbing,, soaking and nada.... only slight top layer comes off and can still see the alphabet watermark.....bummer !!
Always disliked any advertising on my cloths products etc I often rip of tags as well I wish more companies would use an easier adhesive so tags and products wraps could come off easily rather than needing to chemical wash everything I have in my house I have been diagnosed with OCD so you can imagine the amount of time I spend cleaning and doing just that with tags and advertisement 😂
The tag that really triggers my Ocd is a thread logo right on top of the nipple. I swear it's a method of torture, go cycling for the day and better you know it, it's worth them to bleed. Who designs that?
I have tried various things on fabric, most of the time successfully but not always, try it on a small piece of fabric that you can't see, wash it and you'll know.
I have no way of finding out. But I don't think it should matter, anything with an adhesive should work with this method. Try it on a corner of the fabric if after a washing all is well there is no harm in trying.
I need to remove MDOT logos so I can wear my hi vis at my new job. I have zero issue wearing company logos like some. I guess I worry about real life issues more that that. Lol.
I got a pair of Lululemon leggings for cheap because they have a GIANT soulcycle logo on them. I figured theyd be fine for home use but I'm going to try this and will report back. Theyre black so 🤞🤞
@@xperyskop2475 worked well! There's still a shadow from where the sticker was but it definitely removed the giant yellow skull without damaging the fabric. I was thinking about soaking it in acetone longer. I used a soaked cotton ball behind it to slowly peel the sticker off. Maybe some scrubbing and soaking with the acetone will remove the rest of the residue (tho it's not sticky)
Nice! I remember when I was young always feeling like I didn't want to be a free advertisement for companies, but had trouble finding shirts without logos.
Never thought about that viewpoint. Took me a bit to find out how to do it without making a stain.
😂
Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like to be a walking billboard for clothing brand names. 😊

@@HouseDadLife is acetone safe for polyester?

Hoping this will work on my leggings, which I’ve had since I was 12, with “dance style town” written on them😂
Super easy. Followed instructions exactly. Took minutes. Thank you!
Glad I could help, you're welcome!
Does the acetone bleach black clothes
Test a small area before you commit.

I hope it works well for you, that would be annoying.
Did it work? That's the exact reason I'm here.
Thanks for this video. I have a few shirts with my company logo that I wanna wear outside of work. I’m gonna try this, hopefully it works.
Glad it helped you out!

10 months later did it work?😭
Well did it work?
She got rehired
Thank you! Never liked flaunting logos too! Got some Perfect black Puma joggers, but the huge white logo makes me cringe.
Gonna try this!
Good luck!!
Did it woek for the black pant and white logo?

Glad to hear it worked out for you, sucks there was a bit of residue left over.
@@HouseDadLife no honestly it's barely visible! It's the faintest shadow. Thanks for this video though, I was super happy with the result 👊 💙
only the logo is still visible after the removal. the residue that is
This worked perfectly!!!! I used a tweezers to lift the logo.
Glad I could help!
Worked like a champ! Thank you.

Lol. Teenagers be like “Noooooooo Whhyyyy!!!!”

Anytime Ron!
Thanks for the tip. Logo came right off!
Awesome, you are welcome!
Although acetone will certainly do the trick, as you demonstrated, can't it damage/stain fabric permanently?
It will stain, the dawn soap and water presoak at the end of the video show you how to get it out. I've had no fabric damage personally doing it the way I show but I would recommend testing a piece of fabric before committing.

Does any acetone work? Tried it on my soccer jersey,it didnt work.
I'm not sure I used a higher quality clear in the video.
Hi i hv dark blue shirts and sentences with different color how can i remove. And can I use nail polish remover
If they are adhesive type this should do the trick, just try an area first that's unseen to make sure it won't stain the color or damage the fabric.
how long can the acetone stay on the cotton before you need to wash it? I have a shirt with a gigantic print logo on it and im afraid I'd take too long getting it off
I would say get it in the laundry right away to avoid fabric damage.

That's too bad, share if you figure it out, I'm sure it would help others.
Can this be done on black clothing
I would check it on a small corner of fabric just to be sure.
Does it only work on shirts?
It hasn’t been working on my golf pants
Will this work on polyester?
The shirt in the video was polyester.
Amazing. Thank you!
You're welcome!
I have a cotton sweater with lots of brand logos all over it. Will it still work?
If they are the adhesive type I don't see why not, good luck!
Does it damage printed or colored materials?
I would test it on a small corner of the fabric.
Does it work with black shirts
Color shouldn't matter but be sure to check on a corner of the fabric.
I’m here hoping I can get the new balance logo off of a hoodie for a cosplay! Wish me luck guys!

How can I remove the logo from my Raincoat?
You could try this just check a spot on the coat to make sure there is no damage first
Could it be any acetone?
Any would with but you'll get residue left behind.
Does alcohol work

Easy to remove other colors from white. Anything for removing white from color shirt? White is quite visible after removal.
