House Dad Life
Канада
Добавлен 27 сен 2020
Welcome to HouseDadLife! This channel is about hydroponic growing and home automation.
In my hydroponic growing, I'm constantly running different grow experiments and documenting the results on this channel for others to benefit from as well. This started off as just a way to get better at my own growing but quickly realized others were asking similar questions so we can all benefit.
My home automation started because of the need for hydroponic timers to run both my lights and my pumps consistently. I was using your standard light timers but anytime the power flickered or went out, they would either stop working, not work, or needed resetting. Home automation was just a way for me to make this reliable. Since then I've automated a whole bunch of other things around my home to just make my home better.

How To Transfer Everything Onto Your New Phone
Просмотров 14119 дней назад
Every cell phone store seems to charge you to do this, skip the fees and do it yourself for free. The cable to transfer all your data is most often provided, and even if it isn't you can do it wirelessly. Expect about 10 to 15 minutes of user intervention required, then another hour or 2 while all the updates happen, but you can use your phone during this process. Affiliate Links Galaxy S24 - a...

How can I remove the logo from my Raincoat?
Love mine, especially with the blade grinding attachment
Great review. This is very helpful! With the 85" - How far away is your tv from the couch?
About 9 or 10 feet.
Just wait till you have to buy a replacement pitcher for the price of a brand new blender 😅
Still going.
@@HouseDadLife for now..
hubitat is pretty solid, if you want visual flow just use node-red with hubitat (maker-api)

$188 on Amazon?
Holy that's way too much.
Despite all those extraordinary features the most important for me is the picture quality, so far disappointed, my 10 year old Samsung has better quality picture which I’m replacing just because of the lack of Dolby Vision/ Atmos , nothing else 😏
I went from a sharp aquos and for me the upgrade was very significant. Every person is entitled to seeing what they want, good luck finding something you enjoy.i know it took me a long time.
This worked perfectly!!!! I used a tweezers to lift the logo.
Glad I could help!
Product naame?
Easy squeezy. Nice phone.
She is loving the battery life increase. It's a win.
You don’t melt your cheese on your burgers?
I like it both ways, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
Hi, how did you the short in the cord show? Thanks
My always on increased and Sense sent an email. I went through each breaker until I found a load without anything on, took me a while to find out it was the cord end.
this was so helpful! thank you
Glad I could help!
What cut of meat is that?
The beef is chuck.
The miracle grow nutrient has no calcium or magnesium additives if you read the label so it needs to be mixed probably with epsom salt and calcium acetate/nitrate (although calcium sulfate will precipitate out of concentrated solution)
blur contact numbers and email
Thanks for noticing and letting me know. Good eye.
Have a PitBoss and a pellet grill is way slower than a gas grill to come up to temp
Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure Ron, enjoy the weather!

Hey is there a zoom option on this tv for when those black bars show up on some movies? I own the sony a90k oled, and while there was a menu option for zoom, it said this feature is not available.
I do see a zoom option, it is greyed out. Personally, I don't ever prefer zoom, on a bigger TV this really messes up the immersive experience to me, so I'll never do it.
@@HouseDadLife Ok, so greyed out means it wont function eh? Well thank you very much for replying, I appreciate it and I will subscribe!
Thanks bro..
Anytime!
RO basically means you've stripped the water of any of it's immune system. It's good if it's consumed immediately, for the sake of sterility but, as time elapses, it has no resistance to spores, viruses, and bacteria that are in the air and can breed in the water and feed on the roots.
I bought this tv in april and its a good tv i was very happy but after two months suddenly one day it doesnt turn on and when the technician came he said that its because of a power surge happened during the night but the tv was off there was no lightning.it was under warranty so the repair was free of cost and the main board was damaged as they said. now i have a fear of it happening again. i have bought a tv stabilizer though. i still wonder how sensitive these tvs are.
Not much difference in heat up time between a pellet grill and a gas grill? Are you kidding me? I have a Pit Boss 1150P2 and it takes at least 30 minutes to get to 400. I am in the market to add a gas grill again now because of how long this thing takes to get to temp.
That seems like something is very wrong with it. That's nuts.
@@HouseDadLife I've seen others say the same thing. I could probably bring that time down by holding the prime button for a couple of minutes, but I'm too lazy to do that. :)
@jimbopsvidz I'm sorry to hear that, mine has always been about the same as the gas grill it replaced. Maybe the new ones have changed.
Thanks for that!
I'm glad I could help Jeff.
That's a Collins machete. The manufacturer's sticker is mostly missing, but I recognize it. They made (past tense) the best machetes. Love your excellent instructions, too.
This is great to know, of course there is someone out there that recognizes the machete, thanks for letting me know. Too bad they don't make them anymore. I'm glad you liked the video, thanks for taking the time to comment!
Thank you.
My pleasure
Makes Sense 😉 Seems manageable.
Lol, little tongue in cheek there, always good to see your comments Hydro.
Thanks for sharing H.D.L.
You're always welcome Ron, hopefully the user that asked for the video finds what they want.
@@HouseDadLife Yes, hope so.
Too much tweaks. All you need is an inverter/charger and a LifeP04 battery. That's about it.
One tsp per gallon; thank you. I have no scoop and just sprinkle in. I also ordered some king crab to see how that helps even more.
I really like it, just used some yesterday to help some greenhouse get going after planting. Good luck with your grow!
@@HouseDadLife I have been enjoying the way it feels! It is so soft but not dusty. I got the King Crab and will see how that works alongside. Since I am unsure about the dosage of GW, I decided to order another bottle since it has a shaker on it. By the way, when does that stuff expire. I don't see any dates on my label as told.
I'm not sure of expiration, I'm still on my first tub, and it seems to be still doing the job. I've had it for a few years already. I use a paint brush and dip and dust to really stretch it far.
7 years with a pellet grill and you don't have a dumb beard or a Busch Light tattoo....congratulations
Ha ha ha ha, that's hilarious!
Can I control the temperature away from home?
You can.
Use the recharge correctly next time. Jesus 🤦♂️
Just skip both and get home assistant... Homey Pro too slow having offical brands apps...
I have thought about trying it out.
I have PG&E ( my electric utility company) here in California...unfortunately. My 12 year old home has experienced over 30 power outages since I purchased it. I have to keep a generator on standby. My current generator wattage is insufficient, and I'm considering the Sense device to give me a more detailed analysis of my power usage and help when deciding on my new generator wattage size.
I'm still happy I got it, if you want power information I think you'd enjoy what you get. I wish the learning algorithm was faster but that's about the only change I'd like to see.
Great video. I am fairly new to grinding and so this has been very useful. Thank you. I have been looking into buying a new grinder and so this one has caught my eye.
Either this or an LEM and you should have a good machine, good luck and enjoy, it changes everything you cook.

Bambu A1/A1 mini
I thought I may not get too much use ouyt of my FDM printer like I do for my Resin ones, but I was very wrong. I have made many, many useful household items that has saved us money and time.
It's one of those you don't know what you're missing until you have one tools.
Sovol SV08! thats prob gonna be my first printer. used a ankermake m5 plenty, so time to get my own
Mines' going as we speak, I go through phases of extreme use where it feels to slow to sitting for a few weeks with nothing.
No do not buy a prusa there are way better printers for less money wow, do some research I'm glad I didn't didn't just pull the trigger immediately........... That funnel is a few hours with a .8mm nozzle
Okay, that's good to know, do you have a recommendation?
@@HouseDadLife The best budget printer for PLA pet g TPU and small ASA ABS parts is the AD5M, for a printer that you want to print mechanical parts and more exotic filaments the Q1 Pro hands down, The best starter printer is the A1 mini or combo or regular A1
Checking them out, thanks for the suggestions!
I’m looking to buy this tv but not sure how it can handle sports? I watch a lot of sports off Apple TV. I just returned a Hisense 75” u8k because it was terrible when watching sports. The ball would disappear and the fast moving sports scenes looked blurry. Does this tv have any of that?
I actually didn't like motion scenes until I went through the setup, now it's awesome, I don't watch any sports though, for me it was action movie scenes where the motion wasn't great on initial settings.
@@HouseDadLife put it on a soccer game or football and see if the ball disappears or if the players have blur and let me know because that will be a deciding factor me lol
@@legendsfcsantaclaritavalle9077 I just tested it out for you, as I own the X90L in 65 inches, and the balls don't seem to disappear
I see no problems at all.
Would currently go for a Bambu A1 Mini, its dirt cheap right now and the print quality without any amount of tuning at all is superb. Perfect beginner machine. Way easier to get into than the Prusa or Ender. After putting probably close to a thousand hours of research, tuning, modding and rebuilding into my other printer (a frankensteined Geetech A20M) the mini just blew it out of the water with default settings (only lowered the flow rate from 25 to 15 or so, but thats not even really necessary).
Thanks a bunch for sharing, I'll definitely look into that before I end up buying another printer. I must say as of right now after all my end tweaking I'm pretty happy with it. But I don't think it is very beginner friendly.
yup I wish the A1 Mini was out when I got my first printer, the ender has been "fun" but such a headache at the same time
I learnt a bunch from the ender, but, had I known what I would have to do to it to do what I want, I would have bought something else.
I have a Camp Chef it’s fantastic, 160F to 400F, holds within a few degrees, variable smoke level, has never let me down
Glad you found something that works for you, happy grilling!
Thanks H.D.L. I have an Ender 3 as well.
Oh nice, toys or diy for you?
@@HouseDadLife Both.
@ronm6585 very nice.
If consumer 3D printing was a thing when I was little I would've kept up with 3D modeling.
I'm very glad I started, it's filled the DIY gaps nothing else could. You think it's too late? I have a feeling it's just getting going.
@@HouseDadLife Just like a table saw or a lathe it's a toy used for solving problems. No time like the present on learning how to use it.
LETS TALK $$$$$$$ I JUST HATE PAYING FOR RAPID BUT IT JUST WORKS SOME OF THOSE LOOKED GREAT I KINDA THINK A BETTER grow off would be 2 bottled nutrient additives I thought Mykos was a soil thing I wonder if route66 or root66 would be a better test I just want to find something with the same results as rapid start but a lot less the feeding is 1/2tsp per feeding & the bottle is so small
Yeah,.. hydroponic prices, sometimes I wonder what the markup is.
