Vera I really liked your morning ideas. Can I add, don't have a tv in the bedroom. Also, this year we got rid of our divan bed base. Drawers with stuff that I minimised down to one small box of things. Then my husband made a wooden bedstead, so much healthier for airflow and also no drawers to gather unnecessary stuff in. Stay well and safe.
I liked hearing you talk about the importance of taking care of something else besides ourselves. When I'm not taking care of my plants and animals properly, it's a sign that I'm not nurturing myself either. OK, now I have a good reason not to make my bed first thing!

I completely resonate with your tips and I can't do a workout fist thing either...I tried it over and over , all my life after hearing how great others feel but then I found your videos which taught me that it's not that I am not disciplined; it's about that I am not that kind of person. I'd rather do yoga, slower movements and that has actually opened up a lot of areas in my life that I can feel more in harmony with instead of battling against myself to do what works for others ...thank you !!!

I wake up at 5am make bed breakfast with my beautiful cat then I do gentle stretching on my yoga mat then I meditate in my sacred space with incence and instrimental devotional songs Indian music BUT I don't exercise I just do stretches. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit xx

Wonderful video as always :) I also do quite some things you mentioned in the morning: usually getting up at 05:30, having a glass of water, preparing my müsli, journal, meditate for some minutes and then take a cold shower. This is then the sign for my body to get into the getting things done mode for the day so I can go for work.
Cheers! I just drank a glass of water first thing this morning! I can offer that a short pranayama practice can also be an option as a wonderful part of a morning routine, and the morning is auspicious. It's a doorway into both meditation and yoga without being either too vigorous or too sleep producing. Check out Richard Rosen's books for one. Thanks Vera!
I really like the gentle way you express your thoughts. I have to admit that lately the current situation and working from home have made me a little lazy in the morning, but when I take some of these actions, I do see the difference. 🍀 (finally someone says that the bed has to “breathe” in the morning! :D)
I feel veey identified with this video:) I loved number 6 a lot as I am trying to practice that in a regular basis and remind myself that I am valuable...sometimes I do hug myself and tell how much I love me😃even if not feeling it 100%, but it's a good practice for mental healthy actitud. Great tips! 🙌🏻 I agree, water is very important! I drink 2 glasses (28 ounces) of warm lemon juice water before I even have my coffee, because when you wake up you're dehydrated. Then I drink lots of water throughout the day. I love to light candles in the morning as well. Have a great weekend! 😊❤️🧡💛

I do all of these in the morning, but I struggle with exercise and breakfast. I struggle with exercise in general, and breakfast is the least favorite meal of the day for me since I was a teenager. At 57 I have a feeling that's not going to change 🥺

ohh I am not a fan of water but more on coffee but now that I am always at home I do make sure I stand up from time to time to refill my glass with water.. but one thing i always really forget is to drink water right after I wake up, it's always in my mind but always forget about it and realised that I am already having my coffee. hehe thanks for this reminder Vera!! So my resolution is to be prepare a bedside water bottle every night so I won't forget to drink water first thing in the morning. Take care! Xx

Good morning Vera! I normally split half of my morning routine at home and the other half at school because I need to be at school before 7:30am! I drink water and eat breakfast at home, then I drink a cup of coffee and have 10 mins of reading at work :)
Life is just not about getting things done. Wow! I need to work on this. I am going to try implementing your to do list with the MIT and the 2 smaller tasks and 5 tiny tasks. Planning on trying it this coming up week since the idea is blown out of the water today. Lol. Thank you. 😊
The point you made about drinking water I’m finding as I get older that is even more important like you said if you hydrate first thing in the morning it just causes the day to go by smoother
Love the idea about listening to music instead of TV or social media (screen time) in the morning and fresh air. A video suggestion is a video about screen time habits to improve your day, for example, only watch TV (Netflix), or Social Media/RUclips in the afternoon (4-6), or spend 30min-2hr on these activities a day, or have a no tech day or no tech weekend. I had a morning habit of drinking warm water before breakfast. Someone told me it was good to start your digestive system. After some time i got bowel problems, my bowels making noise all day. I wass thinking it was job related stress, so i continued my water drinking. And then one day i was talking to a nutrician, and she told me that drinking warm water before eating is "laxerend" (sorry don't know the English word). For now i changed that habit in drinking a big cup of tea, and a smalle glass of (room temperature) water.

My morning routine is the reason why I am still not frustrated in this lockdown mode. The main thing is my exercise & meditation ritual. It really helps me to calm down & my body feels flexible throughout the day.
I always feel a bit jealous when I watch these types of videos. One of my kids wake up at 5 and won't let me do anything on my own. I would love to have a peaceful and calm morning once in a while ;) Love this video, it feels so honest and so special compared to all the other morning routines out there.
Thanks for sharing Linda and yes I can definitely imagine! Everyone has their own life and lifestyle and I feel that those unrealistic morning routine videos aren't really helping anyone... So I get what you mean. Maybe when they're a bit older, you can have a different morning routine. It's all about making the best out of our personal situation :)

Hi Silvia! :) Yes I totally get it. I usually don't give advice about that because I don't have experience with it, so any advice I would give is something I google first haha. But I do believe there are channels who share morning routines with small children. I think it's not realistic to strive for a perfect morning routine for anyone, we all have things going on, so it's more like making the best out of our personal situation. Good luck!

Hello Vera, what Ereader do you use? I was currently thinking of buying one, but most of them emit a loooot of blue light which does not help with my sleep. Do you read before sleep and how did you manage the problem with blue light before bed time?
Hi Veronika! I have a kobo without any backlight. And it has a special e-ink screen that reads like paper. It's amazing :) no problems with bedtime reading. Although my model is really old, and I think the newer models have backlight. But I think there might be versions where you can choose to leave the backlight off.

Hi Vera I take a flask filled with water to bed so I can drink it before I get up? I find it helps me not to forget and then I enjoy my tea on getting up great tips I’m not really a morning person but drinking water first thing definitely helps 🤗
Drinking water with lemon is also something i did for a while. Very tasty and wakes you up good. But it does seem to lower your bloodpressure after some time. That's what i felt

I have the opposite problem i used to avoid screen time first 45 m hour after waking up...now ill watch youtube from 8.30 onwards...i usually wake up around 9 u I would not medidate ...i could not list0rn to morning sounds... at 9.30 am is not really morning anymore...
My morning routine is still in process. I am trying so hard to get myself to bed at night. (I am such a night person.) Since I don’t do useful things at night, I would like to get up early instead. Late night are a hard habit to break for me.

Any who, I’m glad you created this video, just hearing and watching you discuss these thing really put me at ease not just because I was on the phone 4 hours ago where it wasn’t fruitful if you will, was about a couple of minutes ago all over the place and couldn’t focus like I wanted just to finish up some work items.... and decided to take his suggestion and listen to you........ ill be honest I could sit and watch you talk about the dictionary and be at peace: You: flabbergasted. To be astonished at something or someone..... Me: yea........heh...... flabbergasted..... yea...... man I’m So calm all of a sudden... she is something else..... It’s this little thing RUclipsrs have said like an “Internet girlfriend”(not sure how it goes but for me ill just say emotional support like you’re there when I come home from a bad day so to speak though I’ve been home all day today XD. ) - its like you’re my internet girlfriend simply because you do without fail, put me at ease when you speak..... and what’s to put icing on the cake....or pie...or healthy pastry..... you’re always right on time...... and this video was months back.!..... Overall, I just would like to thank you sweetheart..... for being such a Sweetheart! I want to encourage you to keep going and keep up the persistent pressing forward in your own endeavors and your leadership is NOT AT ALL in vain because the one you do reach will always return their expressions of gratitude regardless...... I wouldn't be able to function without morning routine. First thing window is opened and I stand there, breathe and take in nature. Always air out bed . After that I follow flylady.
Ah the oatmeal :) I don't use a recipe but this is what I do: For 1 person: 4 tbs rolled oats 1 cup of water 1 cup of plantbased milk 2 tbs raisins cinnamon (and optional, pure vanilla extract) bring to a boil and slowly cook for about 5 minutes, until it's done and kind of creamy take from the heat and add 1 tbs of ground chiaseeds / flax seeds and stir through add fruit of your choice add some pure peanutbutter add some sunflower seeds / pumpkin seeds enjoy :)

Good morning Vera! I normally split half of my morning routine at home and the other half at school because I need to be at school before 7:30am! I drink water and eat breakfast at home, then I drink a cup of coffee and have 10 mins of reading at work :)

Life is just not about getting things done. Wow! I need to work on this. I am going to try implementing your to do list with the MIT and the 2 smaller tasks and 5 tiny tasks. Planning on trying it this coming up week since the idea is blown out of the water today. Lol.

Love the idea about listening to music instead of TV or social media (screen time) in the morning and fresh air. A video suggestion is a video about screen time habits to improve your day, for example, only watch TV (Netflix), or Social Media/RUclips in the afternoon (4-6), or spend 30min-2hr on these activities a day, or have a no tech day or no tech weekend. I had a morning habit of drinking warm water before breakfast. Someone told me it was good to start your digestive system. After some time i got bowel problems, my bowels making noise all day. I wass thinking it was job related stress, so i continued my water drinking. And then one day i was talking to a nutrician, and she told me that drinking warm water before eating is "laxerend" (sorry don't know the English word).
For now i changed that habit in drinking a big cup of tea, and a smalle glass of (room temperature) water.

My morning routine is the reason why I am still not frustrated in this lockdown mode.
The main thing is my exercise & meditation ritual. It really helps me to calm down & my body feels flexible throughout the day.

I always feel a bit jealous when I watch these types of videos. One of my kids wake up at 5 and won't let me do anything on my own. I would love to have a peaceful and calm morning once in a while ;)

Thanks for sharing Linda and yes I can definitely imagine! Everyone has their own life and lifestyle and I feel that those unrealistic morning routine videos aren't really helping anyone... So I get what you mean. Maybe when they're a bit older, you can have a different morning routine. It's all about making the best out of our personal situation :)

I wake up several times but my final wake up is usually around 8.30, but Im usually not getting out of bed before 9.30.

Hi Silvia! :) Yes I totally get it. I usually don't give advice about that because I don't have experience with it, so any advice I would give is something I google first haha. But I do believe there are channels who share morning routines with small children. I think it's not realistic to strive for a perfect morning routine for anyone, we all have things going on, so it's more like making the best out of our personal situation. Good luck!

Hello Vera, what Ereader do you use? I was currently thinking of buying one, but most of them emit a loooot of blue light which does not help with my sleep. Do you read before sleep and how did you manage the problem with blue light before bed time?
Hi Veronika! I have a kobo without any backlight. And it has a special e-ink screen that reads like paper. It's amazing :) no problems with bedtime reading. Although my model is really old, and I think the newer models have backlight. But I think there might be versions where you can choose to leave the backlight off.

Hi Vera I take a flask filled with water to bed so I can drink it before I get up? I find it helps me not to forget and then I enjoy my tea on getting up great tips I’m not really a morning person but drinking water first thing definitely helps 🤗

Drinking water with lemon is also something i did for a while. Very tasty and wakes you up good. But it does seem to lower your bloodpressure after some time. That's what i felt

I gave up sugar and caffein and now I feel great every morning.
I have the opposite problem i used to avoid screen time first 45 m hour after waking up...now ill watch youtube from 8.30 onwards...i usually wake up around 9 u
I would not medidate ...i could not list0rn to morning sounds... at 9.30 am is not really morning anymore...

My morning routine is still in process. I am trying so hard to get myself to bed at night. (I am such a night person.) Since I don’t do useful things at night, I would like to get up early instead. Late night are a hard habit to break for me.

Ah the oatmeal :) I don't use a recipe but this is what I do:
For 1 person:
4 tbs rolled oats
1 cup of water
1 cup of plantbased milk
2 tbs raisins
cinnamon (and optional, pure vanilla extract)
bring to a boil and slowly cook for about 5 minutes, until it's done and kind of creamy
take from the heat and add 1 tbs of ground chiaseeds / flax seeds and stir through
add fruit of your choice
add some pure peanutbutter
add some sunflower seeds / pumpkin seeds
enjoy :)
