Endeavor’s my favorite MHA character, but that moment made me remember how terrible Act 1 Endeavor was. Hated him on alot of moments, but amazingly written character nonetheless. That’s the Todofam for you.

This episode is literally the saddest and most beautiful episode of MHA ever. Dabi, a legitimate tragic villain, only wanted to be acknowledged by his family. Endeavor, finally recognizing that it wasn’t only Shoto that got both quirks, and the deepness of his own shortcomings for his family. And in the end, the whole family finally realizing what was missing. Dabi’s tears of grief and regret mirroring Endeavor’s and the tears turning to ice… so emotional. Just beautiful

dabi awakened ice and it showed endeavor didn't need to do everything he did like trying to create a master piece like Todoroki, he could've just been a good dad and he would've had what he wanted, although it needed to be a near death scenario to awaken the ice
Yeah, this was definitely the hardest I’ve cried in a good while.
Shoto really lives up to being called the “hero of the family” here. And for as monstrous as Touya has become, I feel like it’s only fair for the family to be the ones to ultimately save him from getting himself killed completely. And it was just in the nick of time too, since Endeavor had already given up on him yet again.
There’s a lot of complicated feelings happening here, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the whole family to end up on the battlefield, but hey, it’s finally time for Touya to get the attention he’s deserved all this time.
Dabi: (fights Shoto to near death, teleports to an entire other city, minding his own business attempting patricide)
Dabi: (feels a rush of wind, hears desperate footsteps and heavy breathing from behind)
Shoto, right it Dabi's ear: Mom says it's my turn on the X Box
So a misconception that i heard from someone is that many interprete Dabis ice awakening scene as a "Dabi was the son endeavor wanted all along" thing which is what i initially thought too but its actual supposed to be more of a "It took your son reaching near death off of pure anger and resentment for you to finally get what you wanted". Endeavor being a changed man at this point would feel this a lot more cuz it rlly just shoves all his regrets right into his face. Really splendid writing. I fw endeavors writing and the familys plot line sm.
I agree. It took touya being a corpse on the brink of death for the ice quirk to awaken. Honestly endeavour changing for the better was good, because if he hadn’t changed he would have never saw how destructive he was to the point that his own son was driven to be what he originally wanted. It makes the pain worse.
It's honestly so sad. Endeavor deserved to hear Dabi's painful death throes, but his other family members didn't. The damage from Endeavor made that impossible though
Todoroki and Uraraka really save so many people in this Battle.
Uraraka prevented such an insane disaster from happening. There were enough clones to drown out an entire city, which unlike Dabi's nuke can actually keep going

I feel so bad that this is how Touya returned to his family and finally got his long deserved apology. I’m happy his whole family was there even so. I also like how we actually saw their Mom in action, even if she isn’t built for hero work she stepped up and was there for her son when his father gave up on him again. He almost got the easy way (death out) he needs to *live* to atone. Ugh, the Todoroki family drama was sheesh. Amazing episode.
Iida doesn’t go that fast often, so cool.

I find it tragically poetic that, upon death's door, his family are the ones around him and, while they were trying to stop him, it's the fact that they were ALL there for Dabi to see. It's heartbreaking and sad.

4:30 no, we’ve never seen ANY character in this show go that fast, he ran almost 520 km in about 9 minutes, meaning he was moving about 2.8x the SPEED OF SOUND on average. The fastest we’ve seen from any other characters are Deku, All Might and AFO, who have all barely broken the sound barrier, Ida beat them all by 2.8x
