As an owner of two older Bernina’s (830 and 730), I have to say the Bernina machines are fantastic machines and their feet are absolutely the best. I started out with a 180 and kept upgrading. I didn’t upgrade to an 880 simply because the 830 offered so much. Now that Bernina has a new serger, I can’t wait until they introduce a new Top of Line machine. I love your machine videos.
I think you are my favorite youtube channel. I am a new sewer and have a Bernina machine. I can't imagine sewing without you, even after taking a class. :-)
Thanks for the helpful information. I especially appreciate the specific recommendations concerning good quality brands thread. I have sewn with Gutterman polyester thread for years and my sewing machines do very well with it.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot my account password. I would love any tricks you can give me!
@Jack Lian I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
You are so awesome with all this information. Thank you so much. When I machine quilt I always pull the bobbin thread up by turning my hand wheel towards me is this not a good thing.(on my 880). Also are there classes (videos) for the Bernina software to take.
I have been looking at new sewing machines several dealers have tried to scare me off of Bernina saying the new bobbin hook system is flawed. What is your experience with the new bobbin system. I think they might be trying to push their own brand. Appreciate any real experience with the newer system. Thank you!!
I was surprised at the question about generic feet. One reason I like Bernina is exactly because the feet are one piece, no snap on bits and they are very very stable and they have been since the machines were created.
Hi I absolutely agree with you saying about the one piece feet. I’m sewing, for a long time, on a Bernina 530-2 record, it sews everything with no upsets, now I’m starting on a large quilt, my first attempt at quilting some thing large. My old Bernina works perfectly with all the layers in quilting. No need for getting one of the computer ones.
I enjoyed your video. Are there any instructions for a Bernini 830? You mentioned I don’t have to. Hold the thread when starting to sew, but I have to pull on the fabric to get it moving. It. Does not like going over thick fabric. I’m only using the 830 as a back up machine while my Husqvarna Viking is in the shop. You mentioned Husqvarna Viking. Do you have classes or untuned videos on the Epic 2? y embroidery. d they can’t seem to fix it. I’m very upset about it because i can’t do a freestanding Christmas angel on the Epic 2 until it is fixed. I rarely do any embroidery on the Bernini because of the different bobbin threading.
Hey guys, which Bernina do you like and why? I want to purchase a sewing machine that will last a lifetime. Deets- I'm a beginner, I don't want to make many garments (aside from a cute dress for my daughter), I want to make gifts for people, I want to to make a few wall hanging quilts and a quilt for family members. I won't be selling these items & I don'tneed it for a business. I DONT care for extra stitches, embroidery stitches, extra anything. I just want a simple straight stitch, a heavy workhorse, the basics. And I prefer mechanical vs computerized Which Bernina should I buy???
I read they had terrible problems with their bobbins. I am not a fan of those old style bobbins but I really like the large ones. I had a singer once and could never get the bobbin right. Is it expensive to get service every year??

I'm considering Bernina as a second back up machine. Thanks for reminding me that I need to change my needle 😅
Thank you so much for your expertise. I'm a new user and the B880 Plus is a little intimidating. Going to check out the sewing mastery courses now!
Thank you for another great video! I'm still getting to know my Bernina and your videos are wonderful.

I need to hold on to my thread on my B570QE when I start or the top thread gets pulled under and bunches up,
can you display & give as much information possible on the Bernina 590CE, because I am going to buy it soon, please?
Very helpful! Thank you ☺️

combination sewing machine ?,so do you need to rethread when you want to change from cover stitch to overlock?
I'm getting the 770QE with Embroidery Module any day, what is the best thread for my "new baby".
Where can I buy “fast and easy tear away stabilizer?
Is there a You Tube channel that focuses on Bernina 790 Plus machines?
Not a channel, but here is our Bernina 790 playlist with over 120 videos: sewingmastery.com/bernina-790-plus/
Thank you so very much. I appreciate your response and the information. Merry Christmas!!
What bobbin thread do you recommend for embroidery?

Maybe a Bernina 300 series or a Juki TL
Great video except for all the ads that RUclips has put on! Makes watching you very frustrating!

They say 8 hours of sewing time. Not just 8 hours of being in your sewing room.
Mine talks to me when it needs oil. Try not to let it get to that point.
