Shit works. Lived in a home with 5 or 6 other dudes when I was younger (we called it the frat house) and we made a rule that whenever you passed a doorway you had to do one strict pull up. Most of us would do 5+ unless we were feeling lazy.
Half a year later everyone could do 10-20 strict in a row🤷🏾‍♂️

when you begin, train HARD but only every 3 day, to recover
      Your progress will skyrocket
Strict form, explosive on the way up, slow excentric.
Even if it's just one, grab that bar the hardest possible with your hands, tighten the back for 3-4 s on the top position and slowly go down
      Repeat in 30s.
      Do 1 rep 10 times, every 30s
Wait 3 mins, then do it again
      Do it 3 times (5 mins + 3 mins recup )x3 = 24mins
in 3 days try it again, this time it might be easier.
Then again, 3 days later, this time do 2 reps.
In a month you can do like 5-8 reps easily
If you're recovering from pull ups, you can train chest.
If you're recovering from chest and back, you can train legs or shoulders.
Every day you train a different muscle group, every day you feel a different muscle group sore

As a fitness trainer of many years, I can tell you that the problem with this, is that most people - especially those over 40 and carrying extra weight - should never attempt to do Chin Ups unless they are properly warmed up. That means a good stretch followed by a light weight warm-up, then a medium weight warm-up.
To do otherwise is to invite a host of problems including muscle tears, rotator cuff injuries, tendon problems, etc.
If you have the time and desire to go through all that five times a day, then go ahead.
    Most people don't.

This applies to all lifts. If you have a home gym i recommend it. Put a weight you can get for any number of times on the bar for anything (squat, bench, deadlift, ohp, etc) and do a single set of about 60% of your max reps multiple times throughout the day, youre gonna find the weight gets significantly easier. Go a little harder or lighter based on how you feel. Some sets feel great so you get closer, others suck so you cut them short. But make sure you end up getting more reps throughout the whole day than you get per maximum set

  • @zacharysims1100

Definitely works. I challenged myself to do 200 pushups a day for a month because I hate doing pushups. I said I don't care how long it takes to do all 200, just do that many each day. Started off in sets of 10 spread throughout the day, then slowly condensed the timeframe between sets and then started to up the reps per set. By 2 weeks I was SOOO much stronger. At the the end of the month I could do 40 reps/set with 1-3 minutes in between sets and be done. Separating these out throughout the day in the beginning definitely allowed me to adapt and get stronger much faster. Probably should have stuck with that method and continued doing this for the rest of the year or longer!

We took a 5 min break after each hour long lesson and I would do a max set of pull-ups (15 at the time) during every break.
When we did the PFT at the end of comm school, I jumped up there and just kept going and made it to 26 over hand all the way locked out pull ups. My mind was blown when I came down.

This works better for strength gains more than muscle gain. Muscle gain you fatigue yourself with high intensity (despite people saying it’s volume, that’s not true if intensity is low), for strength it’s more frequency at a particular movement but less intensity. Of course you’ve got to up the volume and intensity with strength gains but you don’t want to completely fatigue yourself.
I like to do both. High intensity with high volume and high frequency. Has resulted in both strength and muscle gains but not as much strength gains despite doing low reps to or near failure
