Matty is legit so i trust what he says, but I also trust that DMG Limitless has not been beaten😂😂😂 if anyone is looking for a super limiter, just cop that and call it a day. Better than Pro L2 by a long shot, and this new joint too
It's a subtle difference that doesn't strike me as relevant (at least with this track). To me the 0 clipping sounded best by a nudge. I think at about 30 Clipping it would probably be even closer to Fabfilter than on 50. There are so many stages in production, mixing and even mastering where we make decisions that impact the sound a lot more than this, that I truly believe it's factually almost irrelevant. Those incremental differences live in our heads rent-free, yet we pay a big price to have the choice between 0,01 and 0,02.. I'd say it's an okay limiter if you don't have a decent one already.
I have most the Leapwing plugins but this last one somehow does seem very expensive when i think of the alternatives i already own Not very impressed tbh. Too many top limiters already out there
You should have turned off the channel linking of the transients in FF-L2 (or turn on some unlinking in LimitOne) Besides that LimitOne sounded more musical and had the better stereo image. I own all Leapwing Audio plugins and still use all of them regularly since years but I will pass on this as I have a great tool with Limitless, AA Wine and a secret sauce plugin for the mixbus. I would get it for groups but not at that price.
A mastering engineer once told me that the "modern" algo is a Multiband Limiter. This makes sense to me because it changes the frequ. balance the most. many musicians like this mode. Most Mastering engineers dont use this mode.

The "modern" algo from FFL2 is the least transparent. I never use this one.

no oversample on a limiter 😅
It claims to be a spectral limiter, so perhaps there is nothing to be gained by oversampling based on how it works.
put it against elevate
