    Hi. I've been following your channel and journey for a while. I want to say that you are by far (!) the hardest working "off-grid-er" I watch. The amount of stuff you get done and the progress you make are impressive and really inspiring, especially because life still carries on in the background (dishes, cleaning, laundry, shopping, cooking etc.). I take my hat off to you! Well done.

    Some time ago I had a business and built natural pools so I learned that if you put a lot of underwater plants in your water catchment the water will turn from green to clear. But it must cover the entire bottom of the pool.

    good boxes for the eggs it looks good that you have 3 for when a hen becomes brooding (it sits down to incubate) one thing that I see a lot of is the nail hehehe I'll explain iron is the fourth or fifth element of the bark most abundant terrestrial on the planet and ahead are oxygen and silicon come on iron is not lacking in the soil what happens is that for iron to be assimilated by plants it needs to be at a suitable pH from 6.5 pH on iron is no longer readily available for plants and from 7.5 bad, I imagine that something similar to mine will happen in your area and more so with well water that has a lot of lime and has a very high pH of 8 and above and the lemon tree needs a lot of iron and that is why it shows deficiencies. My recommendation is that you leave the nails and make an iron chelate that will absorb it and you will solve the problem in a short time (temporary solution) and the other is that you water the tree with tap water. rain and hag as something to lower the pH of the earth the coffee grounds help something if you make 20 kilos but I don't know if you can get as much another is sulfur or also iron sulfate and these solutions are not to make iron it is to lower the pH of the soil again so that you have assimilable iron but keep in mind that no matter how many solutions you make, if you continue to water the tree with water with a high pH value, all the solutions will be temporary, organic matter also works, the best pH to irrigate the orchard is 6 3 there are all the elements available for the plants and except for some exceptions such as the olive tree, the plants will be much more comfortable

    Hello Harriet, that thing too push/hit down the posts in the ground is amazing, never seen that! How much and where to find it? Leroy merlin?

      Yeah pretty sure Leroy Merlin sells them. Or general hardware stores. This one was €50 new, apparently.

    I've been dying to ask - what is the enormous shelf in the room that is now in your shower? What was it originally for?

    Hiya! Great Video as always, just a quick question , why is the boiler outside and so far away from the bathroom, winter might make getting hot water quite difficult?

    • @LittleSpanishFarmstead
      @LittleSpanishFarmstead  2 года назад

      Thank you! Ahh well I just put the boiler half way between the pumphouse and the bathroom, I'm not sure why really, maybe closer to the bathroom would be better, yes! But I wasn't thinking too much as it's all pretty temporary round the back of the house at the moment, until we build a proper covered "service area" back there.
