Maniac: "Oh no my leg is gone this is terrible what will we do..." Everyone: *Looks at Maniac's perfectly cauterized monosword type wound* Maniac: "Guess I'm going to have to get that shiny new leg that we just put into storage"
Light finally just to deciding to up and leave after his wife got killed. He was truly done with it all, and wanted to retire somewhere alone. Very fitting indeed
I'm still a big supporter of taking Bloodfeeder as the last meme. We've had bloodfeeders in the colony since the start, the leader is a bloodfeeder, and how much more transhuman can you get than an archotech infusion that rewrites your very genes to be the predator in the food chain above humans?
For similar reasons I'd argue inhuman* the colony has slowly been embracing the void and its eldritch powers, growing away from empathy into a more cold, efficient view. All I'm saying is either inhuman* or bloodfeeder seems better than high life. Not that I hate high life, but these are just much more fitting * I wrote the wrong word
"How much more transhuman can you get than an archotech infusion..." How about becoming adherents of the literal archotech machine god responsible for the anomalies in the first place? That is to say, the Inhuman meme. To that end, I'd recommend trying to get all of the flesh mods from the Twisted Obelisk for roleplay purposes if nothing else.
An Inhuman band at war with the Empire, would make a great topic for the next series! Saving those ideas for then would make sense, so this series could have a completion with the Archeonexus ending, allowing the Ritualist ending to be saved for the next series too.
Light lived in darkness, was then plunged into further darkness by the void, then even deeper by his own neuroquake, and awakened to knowledge of his wife’s death. I think anyone would be shaken by that series of events, and leaving Elpis to discover the final secrets of psionics on his own is rather fitting. Light guided him this far, it’s on him to take the final steps.
Honestly a spin-off season of Light either as a sole mechanitor or Cambiar type and either becoming a peaceful ascetic monk or an ever darker recluse would be awesome. It could even be his journey to heal and find love again. So many cool stories that could come out of that.
I cannot believe, by chance, Light decides to just leave. Just leave! You summed up his thread in this story perfectly, and it's perfect for his participation to end this way. Nothing else would have been as satisfying
Light's arc in this is beautiful, perfect ending none of us could have scripted. I vote Bloodfeeder! They already have a Sanguophage master and a lil monster child, plus all the ghouls.
What a way for Light to go out - absolutely beautiful arc. As for meme options, I like the idea of Bloodfeeding. We've got multiple sanguophages/viskilaers within the colony, so I think it makes sense for us to lean into the idea of individuals who shed the weaknesses of life and flesh for enhanced abilities. Plus, raiding/skip abductions have a pretty important purpose in acquiring hemogen.
My theory is that light wanted to overthrow the colony and took Elpis away to make him his apprentice, he wanted the power that colony have to himself, but for that he needed to take away their leader, so he told everyone he was going to teach him and return to help them later, but in reality he wanted to turn Elpis to his side showing him the true power while he used his powers to talk with his new tribe; his first attack failed while he pretended to not know about that, but the final attack he was hopping they would win, but his wife died with the group and that made him question if what he was doing was worth it and gave up on his beliefs, leaving Elpis and gone to try to reform his life. Now it's up to Elpis what to do with his newfound powers and how to use it against the world.
Rimworld is such an amazing story generator! Just when you don't know what to do with Light he just up and leaves by himself! What a twist! And how fitting it is. He showed Elpis the way, but the final stretch of it is only for him alone to make.
I think bloodfeeding its the most fiting meme to wrap up the ideology. Cant believe the series its coming to an end ! Loking forward to the final episodes
There was a big snow storm where I live just last night, so this is the perfect video to sit down and relax to after shoveling out there. Love this series, thank you Pete!
@Pete's choice of Loyalist for there absolute loyalty to each other or Supremacist because in making themselves they've come to believe they are better. Thanks
That moment with the Sphere getting sent out and wiping most of the tribe in one attack was really cool, it going full 'bloodlust' and attacking its masters right afterwards is almost like an unscripted story event happening. Considering their work for the group and even turning the dead into ghouls, Collectivist sounds like something they'd follow.
Highlife makes sense as a transhumanist faction that believes in physical and psychological (psycasting) enhancement. Pumping your body full of chemical enhancements seams like a natural progression
But also, they've embraced an already inhuman void more and more throughout the series. The young leader has just been abandoned by his mentor out of, what? The weakness of caring for your love? This would never have hurt Elpis if he was a transhumanist. Humanity is weakness.
Just gotta say that the part of Light in this campaign has been amazing, accidental novel/movie-level writing by Randy and Pete. He randomly comes in, becomes a magical master mentor with a dark twist for Elpis, the knowledge he imparts upon him ends up tested most intensely and dramatically with extreme dangers of the anomaly, and once it Elpis is all but fully fledged, Light moves on to let him finish the journey, like a darker drifter version of Obi-Wan. Guy feels like the good kind of anime characters by now, and what an awesome contribution to the plot without needing to "change" Light much in terms of who he'd been before and who he has become on his own journey. And he even gets to live on and drift along, like the badass that he is.
I would 100 go for blood feed, You transcended humanity, achieve machine and genetic peak, feeding in lowly human is the natural progress, To reach a new peak above humanity it's to feed into the lower steps of the food chain. That or darkness since I also see the Inhumane as kind boring, go with bloodfeed
High life would be more fun imo but I think bloodfeeders fits better with your leaders being genetically modified vampires. Either would work but I personally would prefer to see highlife. Great video Pete!
High life or bloodfeeding seems like the best pick- though I think having a nice pint of beer and ambrosia leans a little more into the Paragons of Pandroth being kinder than most factions.
Considering the entire ground was covered in a sea of the bodies of eldritch horrors and blood, being abducted and pressured into training some young upstart whippersnapper, bouts of going crazy in the darkness while the food in the same room rots, being saved only after performing a last ditch neuroquake, and finally his wife from the faction of tribal Neanderthals he was probably lording over dying... Light just deciding to leave and get away from these Paragon people makes sense. Leaving right after a completely inappropriate party and having the rescue team leave again while the potential young competitor meditates at his precious tree distracted from his departure seems like the only possible outcome. He needed to get out before Elpis reached that 6th level and the prospect of having to go back among these tech loving zealots who seem to have no problem turning their prisoners over to slavery or worse is a risk he is not willing to take given he plans to live for a very long time with his power. I like to think he somehow overheard that the captured sanguimancer was turned ghoul after organ harvesting and really finalized the decision to get out and just start over again. As to the next meme, high life just doesn't feel it. While drug use would seem permissible to them, mandating it doesn't make sense given they're going to have different views about the best ways to enhance humanity and some probably don't see the downsides as worth it....but please do pass that psychite tea and chocolate happy bars.
I was going to suggest the (re?)integration of Light into the colony, especially after his multiple heroic defenses of Elpis the leader, I thought he would be pushing for it. But I guess that idea went straight out the window. I got a laugh at the sightstealer ambushing Maniac. If Rhinos and Elephants never killed him when he was way less powerful, that dude didn't stand a chance
Hi Pete, I would have you to consider a follow up series to this one where one or so members of the paragons decides they need to defeat the royals and do a playthrough going back to cave Man tech and fighting the empire. It would be full circle and a continuation of the story.
High life, definitely. As I said during previous reform, it makes a lot of sense for a colony on a barren ice sheet, with constant human AND inhuman raids. They need to forget those horrors somehow.
To be clear, I don't trust Shadow irl because video games, however I have to believe the colony, after seeing her give so many counts of her revive in an attempt to infiltrate the colony, would likely trust her. That's no small sacrifice, let Shadow keep her extra life
I am honestly torn between ‘pain is virtue’ and ‘blindsight’ for the final meme. One allows you to ignore scars while the other lets your casters become godlike.
For the next ideology reform, i was thinking Guilty. Purely from a narrative standpoint as im not sure what gameplay impacts it may have. But maybe the paragons of pandroth are starting to grow weary of their raiding and wanton violence as they near their goal and start to reflect and repent. Maybe a slight move back in the direction they started as the believers of boyo, especially considering lights arrival and the nature of his departure.
In my opinion High life is a really good meme, especially if you have all these traumatising void creatures around. If you are not stoned on some drugs their shreeking would drive the colonists insane! And...well...high life is just a good thing by principle. People just like drugs.
I think collectivism as been a more integral part of the colonie and drugs are fairly recent to the colonie also the fact that some drugs give malus to consciousness or other stats doesn’t fit the theme of alway improving on humanity
Mechanically, high life would at least GIVE you something; plant specalists and the autobong, but do you even need those? Bloodfeeding would fit a bit more thematically, given population of your colony, but even that's a minor thing. Collectivist might be a boring but most useful choice left, as well as apt.
I am not in favour of highlife because the idea of taking recreational drugs and clouding the mind (the greatest part of a human) would be detrimental to strengthening the colony. Mostly not in favour of recreational drugs. I think something like blood feeding or any of the low impact memes (except guilty) would make sense and be a fitting closer. Thought with how you make everyone join the ideology, proselytizer wouldn't be that bad (I think its a low impact not medium in my opinion). And to go against blood feeding, I think that having a xenotype be praised above the others would go against the more common "ever person is good, every person is special" but I don't know if that is an angle you are trying to go for pete.
Tbh I'd prefer inhuman over high life, I feel that the negatives associated with it outweigh the benefits, especially considering this is a sea ice, transhumanist void bear poking playthrough. Yeah, make it and sell it or even use it in exceptional oh Sh1t story moments, but I just can't see this group of serious business vampiresque pirates throwing their cyborg acquired perfection away getting high.. Oh god d*mnit now I've got that d@mn stupid song stuck in my head 😑 😒 🙄
I'm still a big supporter of taking Bloodfeeder as the last meme. We've had bloodfeeders in the colony since the start, the leader is a bloodfeeder, and how much more transhuman can you get than an archotech infusion that rewrites your very genes to be the predator in the food chain above humans?

Happy New Year mate.
The way Lights story end is so incredibly fitting and I love how natural it feels
It was thematically satisfying for sure.
Light is 100% an anime hero mentor.
Light can only guide you so far, when what you seek is darkness
Transhumanity! Transhumanity! Transhumanity!
A Psy-caster is never late, nor is he early - He arrives, and departs, precisely when he means to. So long, space-wizard!
Maniac: "Oh no my leg is gone this is terrible what will we do..."
Everyone: *Looks at Maniac's perfectly cauterized monosword type wound*
Maniac: "Guess I'm going to have to get that shiny new leg that we just put into storage"
Maniac: "It was destroyed by Comba! She gave me a bruise on it and it just fell off, I swear!" 7:47
Everyone else: "Sure..."
at least we now have the equipment to do so xD
back at the Cult of Jinx we would just smash a log into the hips until its stuck there
Considering the growing number of Ghouls, Viskelaars, and Sanguophages, Bloodfeeding might be a thematically fitting Meme.
Light finally just to deciding to up and leave after his wife got killed.
He was truly done with it all, and wanted to retire somewhere alone.
Very fitting indeed

@@Direblade11 they already are transhumanist
@mushmushmush dangit I meant inhuman lmao

Yeah, exploring that with some of the other darker options for a colony would just fit better for a future playthrough.

What a fantastic way for Light to leave. Sometimes this game just hits all the right beats. Good work, Pete.

Hi Pete!
This series is amazing so far! It's definitely as good as Steak's extreme desert one!
wow what a perfect fitting end with Light!
Just gotta say that the part of Light in this campaign has been amazing, accidental novel/movie-level writing by Randy and Pete. This is the best episode in this series
I'm also in favour of the Bloodfeeder Meme. It just seems so fitting.
I would love to see High Life done!
What a great episode. I can't wait to see Brock in action.
Amazing rng storytelling with light this series! I vote for bloodfeeder, kind of fits halfway between self improvement and rituals
I would 100 go for blood feed, You transcended humanity, achieve machine and genetic peak, feeding in lowly human is the natural progress, To reach a new peak above humanity it's to feed into the lower steps of the food chain. Elli: "Guys something tragic has happened my finger hurts"
Maniac: "Whats that, new arm" *shwing* "NEW ARM!!!"
I swear sometimes I feel you make the story line and just add to the game 😂😂 this light end is perfect for the for play
Praise be the Lord, I have missed your Rimworld videos so much!!!
I feel as if Collectivist would be an excellent final meme to pick. On the Sea Ice nearly every choice has been for the greater good of the whole.
Put me in, coach!
I'd actually love for the edits to be just a tad longer. 30 min episodes are pretty Goldie locks I think
Before you complete the Archonexus, make sure to beat the void monolith!
Like and good video. 👍👍Cool work as always.🤙
High life would be more fun imo but I think bloodfeeders fits better with your leaders being genetically modified vampires.

Other than High Life, since this colony has SO many pawns with sanguophage gene, I'd say Bloodfeeding also fits the playthrough quite well!
I was going to suggest the (re?)integration of Light into the colony, especially after his multiple heroic defenses of Elpis the leader, I thought he would be pushing for it. But I guess that idea went straight out the window.
I got a laugh at the sightstealer ambushing Maniac. If Rhinos and Elephants never killed him when he was way less powerful, that dude didn't stand a chance
thank you!
Going to war with the Empire could be a closer to this series.
we will bring darkness to this world :)
High life meme seems very fitting
I love the idea of a rebel war against the empire.
Donkies join. "I'm not sure what to do with them." ... "Salami it is."
You can often heal minor amputations and scars with the chronophagy ritual. Might want to give that a go and see how that goes with that torso scar.
"____ has given up and decided to leave."
Me: The F they are!
Hi Pete, I would have you to consider a follow up series to this one where one or so members of the paragons decides they need to defeat the royals and do a playthrough going back to cave Man tech and fighting the empire. It would be full circle and a continuation of the story.
its back!
If a Skip Abduction gets Light again after this it's going to be halfway between sad and funny.
I think a rebellion series against the Empire would be quite interesting 👍
I belive its not last time we see Light popping up. 😂
Oh, maaaan!
high life & supremacist both make sense to me in terms of story
I think a fight against the empire would be good for a mech tech hive mind kind of story and would be a natural evolution from this story
High life!
Going inhuman and transcending humanity itself might be cool, if that's an end game option
High life, definitely. As I said during previous reform, it makes a lot of sense for a colony on a barren ice sheet, with constant human AND inhuman raids. They need to forget those horrors somehow.
We're back baby
Elpis is getting cranky because they haven't provoked the void in a while
To be clear, I don't trust Shadow irl because video games, however I have to believe the colony, after seeing her give so many counts of her revive in an attempt to infiltrate the colony, would likely trust her.
That's no small sacrifice, let Shadow keep her extra life
Make billion Atmospheric Heaters and make the place blossoming oasis in the middle of ice :D
WOOOHOOOO
Can you have more than one production specialist as a base feature?! How can I have gone this long without trying that...
High life 🎉
why doesn't maniac have a shieldbelt?
I am honestly torn between ‘pain is virtue’ and ‘blindsight’ for the final meme. One allows you to ignore scars while the other lets your casters become godlike.
Had both of those already, kind of boring repeating the same memes
8:22 the first sculpture is of an animal ripping off its own limb. why is that so within topic.
High life, or maybe supremacist, those feel the best.
This could also tie into Elpis' crisis of faith.
@1337-Nathaniel thats so truuuue, their own leader just had his faith shaken at the very same time by that event 😲
Meep meep
In my opinion High life is a really good meme, especially if you have all these traumatising void creatures around. If you are not stoned on some drugs their shreeking would drive the colonists insane! And...well...high life is just a good thing by principle. People just like drugs.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I think collectivism as been a more integral part of the colonie and drugs are fairly recent to the colonie also the fact that some drugs give malus to consciousness or other stats doesn’t fit the theme of alway improving on humanity
Mechanically, high life would at least GIVE you something; plant specalists and the autobong, but do you even need those? Bloodfeeding would fit a bit more thematically, given population of your colony, but even that's a minor thing. Collectivist might be a boring but most useful choice left, as well as apt.
Close the Anomaly.
Finally, the series is healing.
Does anyone think that the nociosphere is overpowered?
Been loving the series, and I would appreciate it if you made your base completely square before the end

Let me guess, the song is I got stoned and I missed It?
What do you give a transhumanist who lets robots do his work? You give him drugs to get high of course. I for one am hoping for this this future
high life baby!! also could make strong genetic modification that require drugs
The King is in his courting clothes, the brides are in their beds.
The unborn princes wait in sleep to raise their eager heads.
Remove raider maybe as the next ideology development? It's time to move on. They have learnt about violence in times of need and shall now reject it.
By picking the High Life meme you'll have effectively built the Maelstrom gang from Cyberpunk 2077. That is the only thing missing.
comment for algo :)
