As a beginner, this was out of my comfort zone. But i did it! It looks great! I did mine in the candycane stripes version. Next, I'm going to do a kelly green and cream stripes version. Thanks for the great tutorial!
Hi i don't see your video for years I'm glad I found your page. Thank you for sharing. Could you post more video please I love your videos 😊❤ big hug from Erie Pa
I can't thank you enough for making this tutorial. It is so easy to follow, and makes for a really beautiful and nicely textured stocking. Happy New Year to you and yours!
I am absolutely in love with this pattern ❤❤❤. I love how you explain every stitch and don’t take forever on each part but do enough stitches to where I can follow along. My stocking is perfect. Thank you sooooo much for this free tutorial on a stocking ❤❤❤ (by the way the picot stitch is my favorite ❤❤❤)
I was so excited to see this! I have made your country cottage stocking and I absolutely love that pattern! This one looks so cute too! Thank you! I can’t wait to try it!
This is a wonderful fun pattern. I have made 2 and feel addicted to them. They are fun and I am proud. Thank you so very much for making this available. Your teaching style, voice, and clear detailed video is amazing! Please note i am very grateful in case this would be helpful to anyone i used yarn from Michael's. Their Loops and Threads Soft Classic. Its really good and low cost. Makes it even more joyful to create these!!
Ali this is a fantastic stocking. I ordered the big twist living yarn. So excited. I've been crocheting your picot stitch patterns since they were first published. Thank you for the new addition. 👍💗👍
Thanks for the nice video and I am going to start my first stocking in life soon. Wish me luck!! Again thanks for the opportunity to make it with your video! Blessings 🙏
It is my favourite stitch too and thanks to you I have tons of it around the house. I have even bought a round white carpet recently. I bought it online and it is not as cute as it is in the picture unfortunately, so here's an idea for you 😅😂
Thank you for being so thorough and explaining how this goes so nicely. I have enjoyed making the stocking and will continue to make the other. I need. Thank you so much Shawn!!! from Shawn’s Savvy Creations
I just picked up Big Twist Living and can’t say enough about how lovely it is. I could hoard a mountain of it! 😳 Yikes! And, thank you. 😊 I’m going to get on this straight away! ❤
Making one for my wife and I each! I haven’t crocheted in a while, and usually when I do I just kinda fake it till I make it but this has taught me a lot and made me way more confident! One question tho, why turn instead of just working through the main seam like we do on some rounds? Just curious! :)
Hi! The total yardage for 1 stocking is 234 yards. For my two-toned (green and white) stocking I used almost 1 full skein of green and less than half a skein of white.
@@TheTurtleTrunkI’ve finally made it to the heel part not sure if it’s right but I am confused on how to do the heel when doing a white and red striped stocking as my white is the last round I’ve worked so I can’t figure out how to get started with the heel with my white still attached
I am on row 14. Is this where I'd change color again for the 3 color stripe? You didn't mention it as you went into it like you did for the first 3 colors... If I go and pay for the pattern does it specifically tell when to change colors throughout the rows for the striped pattern?? If like a detailed pattern that tells me exact times to chge colors. Since you offer the color changing option...if like to be sure I get that. The directions I hope ARE specific to the color changing stripe ones be the solid color only pattern would not be sufficient if I'm wanting the stripped look. Just helps stay consistent. Therefore I'm not trailing speeding along and 3 rows later I realize I forgot to chge color...yikes
@@jenniferwhitley8280 yes I have figured this out. For the stripped sticking every time you choose the back loop row us a color changing row. I have made 3 of these so far. Loving them! Thank you so much for your helping here. Take care

This was my first time using Big Twist Living too and I love it! I hope you enjoy the pattern!
@ yes I finished it this morning in the 3 colors and have enough for a second. It really is beautiful and thank you . 😊
These are so fun. Well done. 👍🏻
Beautiful stocking, really enjoyed making it, Thank you 😊
Great pattern and tutorial. I would like to make this at 1.5 size. What would my stitch count be?
excellent tutorial. thank you!

Nvm I remembered, so the bubbles are on the right side.
Also, I’m too ADHD to count that long, so I just freestyled my baubles and it’s still sick!
You have got to be one of my favorite crochet channels ever! I love these so much! ❤
Oh thank you! That really means a lot to me! Thank you for being here!
Ooooo would this work with monogrammed letters?
Can I use bulky yarn for this project?
Hi! You can but your stocking will turn out slightly larger
How many skeins of yarn did it take for 1 stocking?
Hi! The total yardage for 1 stocking is 234 yards. For my two-toned (green and white) stocking I used almost 1 full skein of green and less than half a skein of white.
I just wish the seam was in the back and not the front :( can't figure out how to do that :/
I wondered this too
Hello. For what size is this good?
Hi! The finished size is 17" x 6.5"
This was super difficult cause of no stitch marker.. I have not enjoyed this pattern.. I’ve had to start over so many times
Feel free to use a stitch marker if that would help you!

How dare you come out with this as a finish 5 of the last stocking pattern??!??? 😂
🤣 sorry! 🫣
@ thank goodness we are adding to the family!! 😂 so baby might get a different one. 🥰🥰

@@janetobrien6455 I believe you change color every 4th row, so at the end of row 4 change and start row 5 with new color.😊

How do 🫵 feel about making me subscribe because you came out with the first pattern then snuck this one in without me seeing?! 🎉😂❤
