    In some parts of Mangalore they sprinkle roasted powder of fenugreek and mustard and does carrom seeds give bitter taste I am doubtful

      Thanks for your opinion. Mustard and fenugreek are also used in preparing fish curries but here carrom seeds dominate and enhance flavour of this curry. They are not bitter than fenugreek. So try it once🙂

    onion is one main ingredient to be added. You left that one.

      we don't use onion for this recipe, well you can add if you want but that will change the taste if not use it for seasoning.

      +Jasvinder Kaur yes you can cook for 5 to 8 minutes on medium flame, not more or less than that

      Jasvinder Kaur after you put fish let one or boil or let bubbles settle down, then turn of no need to cook very long fish will cook inside the hot gravy.

    For how long did u boil the fish in curry?? As it gives the raw taste of fish if not cooked properly. Have tried at a restaurant the taste was bland of the curry n fish was raw it seemed

      Yes, fish tastes raw if not properly cooked and its not good for health. Also, don't over cook. It takes 5 minutes to get cooked on a medium flame. Always leave fish curries to rest for at least 1 hour before serving or as said it turns bland.
