I just returned on Sept 19th 2013 from walking the Camino from St. Jean to Santiago with my sister. The trailer moved me to tears. My niece sent the link to me. She happened to come upon a showing of your documentary in Portland Oregon unexpectedly while her mother and I were actually on the Camino. She was so moved by the documentary and was so fortunate to be able to see it and experience it at the same time her mother and I were experiencing the real thing. Thank you for this.
I did the camino Frances in 2010. I was made for walking the camino. You do the camino your way. There's no right way or wrong way. You learn a lot about yourself and you live simply and wholly. Life is reduced to basics. You think about each step, where you're going day to day, minute by minute, when to stop, eat and sleep. It is physical, social, and then spiritual. I found a camino family while I was there and still keep in touch with them to this day. The spiritual part takes care of itself. You let go of expectations and life greets you. You end up finding what you're looking for but it's not what you think it is. I returned from the camino being frustrated with life, meaning I wanted to live life more fully. It was hard to get back into societal expectations. I just wanted to walk. I also let go of organized religion and don't believe in a 'god'. I'm more connected with the universe and my surroundings. I'm freer and more spiritually connected with humanity and nature. It's a great accomplishment and changes your life. I plan to go back to do the camino Finisterre next year. Buen camino!
Thank you so much! We worked hard at it and we feel it is better too! So appreciate your comment. It really means so much to hear how the clips resonate with people and helps us with cutting the final documentary. Are you on Facebook? We just posted your comment on our page
You did a great job capturing the beauty of The Way, the comaraderie of the pilgrims, the deep spirituality of most, and the humbling of the ego that one finds along the Camino. My husband and I went from Leon to Santiago last Spring 2012, and are returning this fall to spend my 60th birthday. This time we'll walk from Roncevalles to Santiago. I can't think of anywhere in the world that would be more meaningful to me. Here, on The Way, we can be in the NOW, 24/7.
I did the Camino back in 2010,and I havent been the same since,,,I am hoping to go back for a second time in 2015, for my big 70,I want to get back there and need to get back there S A P, everyone should try and make this life changing journey some time, good luck to you all.
LOVE THIS even more than the other one. for anyone who has done the camino, wayne's tragedy will really strike home... i'm sure all of us shared tears with fellow pilgrims who were walking to come to terms with a similar tragedy
Very good trailer. I would like the see the whole documentary. I've only just recently learned about The Camino de Santiago. I'm very intrigued about the spiritual journey in life and believe that through spiritual enlightenment one will find peace, harmony within the soul and perhaps even purpose with ones existence and thats what I'm hoping The Camino can help me find. I feel like since I've become aware about The Camino it's a sign from above or beyond that I am destined to make this journey.
Absolutely essential! The Camino de Santiago is a unique experience that can change you life forever. If someone wants to dig deeper on the Camino, from another point of view, a chapter of the novel "BUEN CAMINO!", can be download free of charge! www.librobuencamino.com/ #librobuencamino
we need some videos of camino, we need 2~ 3mins, those videos will be on TV and youtube , we will put on camera man's name on it, If you have any questions, please let me know Thank you very much. DAAI TV
"A bad day for the ego is a good day for the soul." The Camino is where you have to let go of your psychology (and the normal programming our societies subject us to). People's bodies are different and your own body will find its natural pace and stamina. It is not a race or an extreme sport. It will bring you to a point where you fully inhabit your own body and experience. Its not about crossing the finishing line in a certain position among the pilgrims.
great site will try to watch all can not get enought of the camino, I walked it March 12, 2012 my video is MY Spiritual Journey on the camino 2012 utube
Not Blowing my own trumpet but this year was the 8th time i walked the camino complete and then Finisterre, and even after all these years and miles, i walked 3000 kms more or less this year because i kept on getting the little buses back to a certain points like Portamarin or Burgos and walked it again to Santiago... i have walked the Via de la Plata 1 time complete it is nasty, no spiritual feeling at all...The Frances is heavenly. i am walking the whole camino again next year 2015...it is in my heart, not for getting to Santiago which is just another Tourist trap full of marketing ploys....Walk the camino for the people and the stories.
wow...I should be in this documentary...you make me sign a paper because I was in a short piece with the girl with the son...is there this documentary in Italian?
Mi admiración por todos los peregrinos, un saludo desde España. !!!!Buen Camino!!!! 🍀👏👏👏

What is the name of the song at 2:18...the Church hymn
We primarily used the Sony EX1 and 3.
4:55
That backpack is too big and I'm sure very heavy. It's no wonder she had difficulty with walking the Camino.

*Pilgrimage is walking". No it isn't. It's a spiritual journey to a holy place as a penance to God for sins already forgiven.
