Timing is EVERYTHING. His passion led him, but Remi did not use good judgement. The other guys should have been able to weigh in on it, and they aren't going to risk their careers and family security now to defend Remi. I do understand.

The woman that changed a word in the anthem at a basket ball game, our native land to On native land, she gets nothing but praise, Remigio is cheered when he makes the statement, however later he is villified, even by his brothers in the band. Thrown out under the bus. So whats with the double standard. One day people will apologize for this injustice done to Remi.

@@SplittingTheSky33 native land meaning our home land. A person of colour getting away with changing the lyrics for her own agenda. Remigio does it and he is crusified for it. Race Card clearly being played here.

The other three wimped out ala Ron Maclean. Let's also understand that the first bastardization of maligning the anthem is to kneel while it is being sung, and that even Bob Marley said , "Get up, stand up".

So, if someone sang "O'ver the Land of the Free and All Black Lives Matter," in the U.S. National Anthem you'd be fine with that, too?
      Yeah, didn't think so.

Why change the lyrics at all?
He didn't even run that by his other members to make sure they were at least okay with it.

ALM - All Lives Matter. All lives infested with sin. Everyone is a victim of pre-existing sin. For God all lives are equal, all lives matter. God loves everyone unconditionally. Jesus Christ came from heaven to earth for one purpose only - to die on the Cross for remissions of pre-existing sins of every single person and to resurrect. Jesus Christ providing forgiveness of pre-existing sins; salvation from eternity in hell; and free entry to eternity in heaven for all who repent of sins in Jesus Christ.
Otherside of death is eternity. Eternity in hell. Or eternity in heaven through Jesus Christ. Penalty of pre-existing sin already paid by Jesus Christ on The Cross. Accept Jesus Christ, be saved from pre-existing sin and eternal hell for free.

The national anthem is performed at public venues to create unity. He was willing to sacrifice that opportunity in pursuit of notoriety.. I'm sure he can find plenty of gigs at Tea Party gatherings.

if only BLM really gave a shit about the black lives that are being lost far more rapidly at the hands of other black people, then the few that are taken from this world by police.
for every black person killed by a cop, 77 black people are killed by other black people, this per FBI statistics/study by Harvard.
      do your research.

People are talking about the fact that what he said was about "All live matter is a racist group" or "All live matters is standing for whats right" but nobody is talking about this man dis-regarded the Canadian national anthem. Maybe since the Tenors are Canadian didn't care for the political implications but instead the fact that his man changed the anthem because of his own self interest. Shame on Remigio Pereira

  • @lyndaklodt9582
    @lyndaklodt9582 7 лет назад +4

How absurd..Read the French version. Not so kind and gentle. Stating all lives matter does not delegitimize any sentient being. That "includes" blacks. smh Remigio Pereira is Canadian, even though his "brothers" portrayed him as American. A shame that Corporate speak won the day. When will awareness and compassion trump money? The three should pay him for what he contributed to the band and let him go.

    • @thatonesqueakerkid4975

    • @lindaemmart2583

He owns 25% of the Tenors and they refuse to even pay him. He made a rash mistake, yet was villified because of FEAR by people who use BLM as a tool for persecution of free speech. Yes, this tenor was wrong showing disrespect for an anthem, but to be fired for life and not even contacted again is just plain evil! Even Paula Deen was forgiven for her faux pas, just telling family history! The world is so upside down now, and I only wish the best for this ousted Tenor. The others are hypocrites, speaking of love and brotherly devotion...high and mighty words...but maybe TOO high for their real actions.
