Really appreciated this video. I do have one suggestion though. While trying to remove the "skirts" (or whatever those little feet are called) but trying not to break them, I realized that if you just REMOVE THE THROAT first, they're much easier to remove. Just depress the tabs on either side of the throat, remove it, and the other parts are a breeze. Oh, and if the top doesn't seem to fit back on, check the parts on the edges. A couple of the ones on mine had worked their way out a little, preventing the cover from going down all the way. Just gently push them back into place with a long screwdriver/etc and it should slip right down. Cheers!
My OEM style kept having the wobbly wheels problem, so my neighbor made me some wheel bushings out of solid brass and no more worn out hubs to wobble. If I would have known of the update I would have done that but now mine works great
Exactly my problem. Noticed shallow end wasn't getting cleaned. Looking closer, I noticed it was rarely going straight, always kind of turning to the left. I swapped the wheels and shimmed the bad one with some electrical tape. Seems an OK temp fix. Could just buy a new hub for $17, but it looks like both drive shafts are a little worn as well. Seems like a good deal to get conversion.
Wonder if you can answer a question please. I have same cleaner and seems to stay and circle in one place. The tire treads are new..Everytime I physically move cleaner to another area of pool it makes its way back to where the hose pretty much connected to wall. I know pool needs to be resurfaced, but wouldn't think that's it. Also. I am missing some skirts. Any suggestions before buying the kit you speak of. Thank you
my 4 wheel conversion kit comes with two small springs but there is not comment as to where to place the springs. Do you have any comments or advice to offer?
Weird....my conversion came with a gear missing from the right wheel drive. It was in the box and it's obvious where it goes. Not sure how, but I need to slide out an axle pin to install it? Another question: the version 2 has some two round holes on the back side. Looks like they're there to possibly attach a pole and drive the unit around manually as a vac?
Not sure about the second part of the question but maybe this video will help you: Poolvergnuegen "The PoolCleaner" Replacing the Bottom, Removing the Gears: ruclips.net/video/cr4IRPZbCnA/видео.html
I just switched out my old lower body with the new lower body conversion kit, but now my pool cleaner turns in circles but wont go straight at all. What might be the problem? Thanks
Mine did this, at first. When I first switched-on the pump, it stayed in one spot and did a "crazy-Ivan" just spinning around. Just as I was about to shut it down and re-open the housing, it took off. So, it may just be that the reversing gear needs to engage a couple times.
The pump size or suction to the pool. The Medium throat is usually good for most pools, if you have say a 2 hp pump then the large throat will work better. Very low suction, then use the small throat.

Hey, it works! 👍

I have a older Hayword 2 wheel model PES2205cts. Will your Poolvergnuegen lower replacement unit fit my model?
Should fit fine

Could be something out of alignment. Maybe spin it manually by the wheels to see why it is locking up.

Will this kit work on a Hayward Aquanaut 400?
Yes. The 4-wheel kit will work.
What determines the type of throat to use (small, medium or large)?
The pump size or suction to the pool. The Medium throat is usually good for most pools, if you have say a 2 hp pump then the large throat will work better. Very low suction, then use the small throat.
Thank you.
