  • In this clip from episode 395, Blake shares how his family and I took a month-long working vacation in Southern California. As a fully remote worker and with my wife having access to a hybrid office setup, we rented an Airbnb for a month in a community that required longer-term rentals. This made the trip more affordable, costing only twice our monthly mortgage in Arizona.
Taking vacations like this is a significant advantage of remote work. I encourage firms to offer this flexibility to their employees. The trip left me feeling refreshed and excited to work hard upon returning to Arizona.

my business is completely remote - I once worked while on an Alaskan cruise and traveling around Vancouver and Seattle. My clients had no idea I wasn’t in my NY office. There IS more to life than money!
