42?! I thought to myself upon seeing this that he has to be pretty old by now, but I didn't think he was quite that old. He has to be the oldest GS participant ever? 🤔
In form is great but his level is too far behind the coming generation. He does not run like he was 5 years ago. Wihout that huge beautiful serve there is not much left anymore sadly
The first time I watched Ivo on tv was 1st round at Wimby 2003 vs Hewitt. And he won against the defending champion. Same year, he came in Japan for Japan Open Championship. It was first ATP tournament I visited of my life. I asked him to give me his autographe and take a picture with me. And he accepted with smile. It's a souvenir of my life and my treasure. Thank you Ivo. You are adorable guy.
Well done Ivo - he qualified for the US Open and has just lost to a top seed. I hope he carries on playing as he is still a threat to a lot of players.
@@dontstealmypenguin that is what I am trying to say . He has his grey hair already and never saw him in quarter final eventhough he has the record of most Aces lol
@@norisknofun9720 ah ok … can I change my statement?…. I never saw him in any grand slam semi final 😂😂😂 but respect him that he still playing at this stage
Weird to see there is a tendency to pull the opponent's hand close to the body when at the net to do the handshake. Seems like some kind of sign as if to say: I dominate you know. Djokovic does it all the time and usually quite aggressively. I also see rublev doing this, even with a guy almost twice his age. Seems a bit unnecessary but maybe it does work
Why so discouraging? The fact that he's still playing because he loves the sport, despite his age, is remarkable. He's not playing just because he wants to win

He moves unbelievably well for a big man, and still at age 42. Crazy impressive!
if this is dr. ivo's final tournament, it's been an honour.
Rublev's US open fit looks pretty cool
Some of his fits haven’t been great, but this one is absolutely great :)
I’m sure you mean “kit,” 😊.
I hope my man Rublev will go very far in the tournament. He has the confident and the talent, and he's hungry just right now. Go Andrey!!
Dude he might take the whole thing, I wouldn't be surprised. He's deadly!
Great to see ivo in New York one last time. As a long time fan that Washington atp 500 defeat when he served for the championship still hurts
What was he in Washington atp 500 final before? Which year?
2016
Oh yea it still haunts me. Had a match point and hit a great serve, but Monfils pulls out a lucky return. It all went downhill from there.
Happy to see Ivo playing well and in New York again. Respect for him has only grown
Same!
Can’t believe Karlovic still play at age 42
He cant move
42?! I thought to myself upon seeing this that he has to be pretty old by now, but I didn't think he was quite that old. He has to be the oldest GS participant ever? 🤔
Karlovic said after the qualifier matches he doesn't sure about his retirement. He said it's 50-50 because he feel himself in form.
In form is great but his level is too far behind the coming generation. He does not run like he was 5 years ago. Wihout that huge beautiful serve there is not much left anymore sadly

I just couldn't resist-BWEEeeh!
Thank you,far better than Wimbledon highlights
lol
Never thought I’d see Ivo Karlovic playing another grand slam again. How old is he again? Jesus
42
Rublev the player to watch in the championship game...💪👍👍
2:19 might be the forehand of the tournament and it came from a 42 year old man.
Yeah that made me laugh out loud. And the return of serve forehand right after that point.
The bang he went out with, perhaps.
Оба молодцы. Игра динамичная и открытая. Кайф. Прекрасно читается.
Ivo Croatia is proud of you, keep going till 50
Respect for the Doctor
Great carrer for Ivo.
Thank yoy Ivo Karlovic
Great performance by Rublev ❤❤❤. Rublev played phenomenal Tennis 💪💪👍👍
MISSED watching Ivo Karlovic in ATPs…
Thanks for everything, Dr. Ivo! Now you can enjoy your retirement. Hope to see you as a coach some day.
I hope maybe he plays doubles. Can you imagine him in mixed doubles? Guys can barely return his serve, imagine what girls would do with it!
Almost 20 yrs difference in age lol
father and son lol

a piece of cake for rublev.
With all of these players crossing themselves, how does Jesus know who to back?
!
not funny
Its driving him crazy.
But i think he backs the best looking ones. I mean he has to make quick descisions.

Hey please, where i can got the shirt of Rublev ?
Thanks !
Rublev might play Djokovic in this tournament for the first time in his career?
PLEASE! DO NOT SHOW THE WINNER'S PHOTO ON THE COVER! OTHERWISE NO INTEREST TO WATCH VIDEO REVIEW !!! PLEASE 🙏🏼
You mean you don't want to know who won before you watch it?
So from this, it seems that rublev's worst enemy is a player who can hold serves.
Where can i buy rublev tshirt ?

Just wondering if Karlovic has ever injured form the moment he entered the tennis game ? 😳
Look at the way he plays, so casual! Don't think he'll ever get injured properly haha

The problem with the big servers is they have no ground game

Maybe he wanted to initiate a hug by doing that.
I didn’t see anything but a handshake
Oh my goodness are you grasping for straws...
Yea it's def a trend. Also the handshake coupled with the pat on the opponent's belly
I think Rublev does it because he wants to pull in his opponent for a hug.

C'mon Karlovic, you should retire from pro tennis. You can't run no more.
This gotta be the most boring match of the tournament. Karlovic doesn't bother going after half the shots.
