I'm glad you started speaking in your vids. You have a good personality.
I was just going to say that. I like the bait making, but stay for your humorous monologue... and Chip. Lol
I agree not boring at all , informative and creative
This video combines my two favorite types of videos fishing and people making stuff!!
Michael Morris es
Cute dog chasing it's tail 7:10
That is about the most natural and realistic swim pattern/motion I’ve ever seen…beautiful work, sir
When Chip turns his head he's so cute
Beautiful work, it's so difficult to repeat when you are making things by hand, you make it look easy.
Tell me how and why anyone could dislike a video like this. Or any videos in general that someone puts time and effort into. Rude people lol. Great videos man!
I love when you put the clear coat on! It brings the bait to life!
Fantastic album playing in the background.
TRUE craftsmanship, thank you I very much enjoyed this video.
I agree your videos are better as talkies. I love watching you make baits. But I stay for your humorous monologue... and Chip! Lol😀 🐟🐕
Ok I know I’m not the only one that saw his dog chasing his tail
I don't like you not talking haha. You've came a long way man. Proud of you. Keep it up.
hello your work is the best thank you I have learned a lot with your videos, I am here brazil thank you very much ...
you make the best lures mate ive ever seen
I have been thinking about doing something like this, but you my friend have the magic touch!! Awesome Job!!
Shawn Gaar Thank you very much!
This one gets me deep. My grandfather always used to throw an old mouse wake bait named Mortimer. It was basically peanut shaped piece of wood with a felt like finish, a little leather strip for a tail, and a small metal bill. He caught many 5+ largemouth with it, which is big for Northern NewYork. Yours are way nicer and more detailed. Bet they are catching whoever got them and yourself some super fat chunkers man. They are super nice, I'm fully into the process and attention to detail.
Why anyone would give you a Thumbs down is beyond me. Great Video!
Nate my man, YOU are a true artist!!! You not only have the tools but also a gift to know how to use them. I wish you much success and I Know many fisherpeople who buy your lures will enjoy the fish they catch with them. God Bless Dude!!!
Dino Harrison Thank you Dino!
I make my own fishing lures as well. Its a great feeling and very rewarding when you catch a fish on something you made.Great vid thanks for sharing.
The rat is awesome, I wouldn't dare try to make hard baits but I tie flies and make soft plastics, so I enjoy these things. Not to mention you have some great taste in music as well!
Great job on the build
Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, then Hendrix in the background. Great lures and great taste in music too
The Top water rat was very awesome !! I think pikes should love this lure
So cool! that thing swims so good.
Amazing! Only request is I would love to see the terminal tackle installation...
I'm still jamming to the music in the background, great video
Hunter Thanks!
This lure has some awesome action to it!
can't wait for your big trout baits to come out and I will for sure order one or two.
its amazing how much work is put into tiny details. respect!
Thank you!
I think a segmented water snake would be awesome.
I love it! You put such hard work into your lures! I love watching you work your magic! That design is especially awesome!
Cheri Doyle Thank you!
that's craftsmanship!
As always... Outstanding!
Miguel Herrera Thanks!
Wow, that was a lot of work, makes me appreciate being able to buy lures regardless who makes them. Love the channel.
True artistry sir.
Thank you!
That was awesome !!
Dislikes for Handwork ??? Wow that’s stupid....
Anyway, great job 👏🏻 Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
This vid is strangely, very calming for me.
Really nice work.
The sounds are actually soothing background noise at a low volume. Not always the case while in the garage.
That fan is going to be sticky lol sorry i notice shit like that, you are still the no.1 Master baiter
Great quality, satisfying, and just overall a great video to watch!
Nolen Johnson Thank you!
That rat looked real moving in that water great job!!
real good action on that rat
57 thumbs down this video ! Why ? Great video keep up the great work ..I found your channel about 2 months ago and have watched just about all of them and have subscribed .. will be buying a t-shirt soon .. I like the one about the chip staying out of the strawberries 🍓
손재주가 대단하세요 정말욕심나는 루어네요 ㅎ ㅎ
great video man. your lures look amazing.
Thank you!
You should try a preymantis lure. Nice work btw!!
Very impressive my brother you make really good lures, I'm hoping to start making my own lures someday soon I noticed that you need a lot of tools to make them.
Dave Komarnicki Thank you! The power tools are great for making batches of baits, but starting out I use to make 1 lure at a time with mostly hand tools. I'd recommend this craft to anyone. Super satisfying catching fish on baits you made
You don't really need tools all I have is a drill bit a razor and sand paper and I do pretty good the only extra stuff I needed was paint glue and hooks
Looks very awesome!
Thank you!
You should make "Chip Chat" in each video and play with him and tell us about him
Awesome lures and video!
Shay Dog Thanks!
Like the Masonite on the band saw trick!!
Jamie Johnson cost of living high, great tune ..like the workshop play list
Very nice work bro! Keep up the great work
Rick Reid Thank you I will!
damn that lure looks realistic
Saubere Arbeit, Meisterlich, einfach TOP 👌👌👌👍👍👍und der Hund, so einen hätte ich auch gern😁✌
This channel is very reminiscent of primitive technology, building something with no words.
Been going back and forward on if I should talk some in my vids.. Still undecided lol
idk I really enjoyed it as is, just watching and from the angles you can get a very clear idea of what and how you are doing something. I dont think it really requires commentary. Up to you obviously, ill enjoy them either way :)
Marling Baits you are good, brother. If you want to add detailed explanation, you can use the subtittles. I'm hearing impaired and not missing anything feels really good.
Greetings from Brazil
Increíble!! buen trabajo y buen video!!👍
Thank you!
My Godness, thats a great video. I need to try it too, but I dont think it will be as beauty as Yours bait:)
Хорошая работа!
deffienetly like the new vids where you talk lol, been binge watching
mike hermis I’m hearing you
Sweet lures You make some impressive lures. How long are those bodies?Looking forwards seeing more vids.keep them coming.
Crickets are singin' and lighin' bugs are floatin' on a brez
awesome action - you should try again for pike and catfish
Mr. Marling, that sure appeared to be a rolling stop... on State Managed Land. I'm gonna need to take your fishing license for willfully rushing to an angling destination wherein a Large Mouth Bass was taken and due to the aforementioned charge....... Great old videos but Chelsea looked different, hmmm.
you are really good at what you do
Anthony Guajardo Thank you!
Great work !! Beautiful camera woman 😊
Morse Mason Thank you!
Wow what a pro ... that was interesting. The only questionable thing in the process ... Fool In The Rain needed cranking!
😂 thank you
I swear we have the same playlists, no Nashville pop just the real stories
Wow i own a lot of rats but none have the movements of your baits! Awesome!
get that store up right now, I NEED this rat. I will pay far beyond a reasonable amount for one of these.
Hey brotha, love the video and took inspiration and went ahead and made my own rat!! It's in the final stages doing the clear coat now and could love to show you what I made! Also do you use the same clear coat for final fishing or are you using the epoxy as a final layer! Thanks in advanced for the info and for the awesome informative video!! You've inspired me to want to make so many lures now!
nick jones awesome to hear! I use an epoxy clear coat for the final protective layer, and assemble the bait after that. Would love to know how it turns out, and hope you stick some monsters on it!
Sweet thanks for the reply brother! Gonna try and find a good two part epoxy that isn't going to be too thick. Would brushing it on be a reasonable way to apply? Thank for answering again, and thanks for the awesome video! Shoot me your email and I'll send you some pics of the final product!
Good job! Nice country!
Thank you!
Song at 553 is fool in the rain by led zeplin
Great video!
Thank you!
You there sir! I give you 5 out of 5.
Katy Perry gets 4.5
nice vid man.
how thick is the wood you'r using?
are the magnets strong enough to hold a fish and the hooks?
awesome work Im grtting into making my own lures. my question is how do you know where to set the balancing weights and is the magnets used to hold the hooks in place.
Trial and error... Most likely
Nice work!
David Vallejo Thank you!
What kind of brush do you use to sign the baits. As a fellow bait maker, always nice to watch others at work. Nice video
Nate, great videos! Just wondering the size of the wood blank. Is it 1.5" x 1.5"?
Great video
How do you decide which wood to use depending on the style of bait? Or just one type of wood
great video
Wow thats the action bait that i need to catch a snakehead
You should make a hollow bodied frog out of wood. It would definitely be an interesting challenge. Maybe put some bbs in it so it rattles.
Chris Cornell playing in the background. Good choice
Was that a cold steel stiletto you used to clean out the spray adhesive? I had one, looked just like that, I liked it alot but lost in one of my last moves.
I need a couple of these.
This looks like it is the inspiration for LFOD Munk,
Very Nice Work...
Thanks!
how do you know how open the joint needs to be? I just made a bluegill bait and I think I need to open it a good bit. I also need to learn how to connect the joints better. I put two eye screws and then drilled from the top before putting a wire from an old spinnerbait through it. The top part lined up perfectly, but the bottom was a little loose. So I drilled a second hole for the bottom and used a different wire for it
i just bought a couple of jerk baits from you. u remind me of dieresta channel. sorry if i spelled it wrong. but im never never going to fish with these jerks. there going to hang on the wall. i make morel mushroom walking sticks and i love how the satisfaction keeps me craving. alot of people do not know it takes alot of time and dedication to make these lures .i just hope one day im as good as you please keep the videos coming. i work for the railroad, is this your career
Thank you Zac, Awesome to hear. Yep making baits and videos is what I do full time.
Why so quiet, love it when you explain, you are awesome artist and should be a millionaire lol we Love u from K.y
how do you connect the two halves and give them enough mobility to "swim"
2 pieces of wire connect the two pieces and then allow for the bait to move.
Nice job congratulations
Cesar Valdez Thank you!
what size of block did you start off with? Your building skills are off the chart
Very nice work. I love the elegant solution for precision cutting the angle joints. That has to be some type of pattern makers vice, where can you get them? it looks a solid piece of kit any way. Whats your best Bass to date on one of these (lures I meant not vices LOL)?
GOLDSMITHEXILE 2016 Thank you! I got the vise from Harbor Freight, and made the wooden jaws for it. Not sure how many lbs my biggest one on this bait is, but I've caught some decent sized ones on this bait at a local pond.
