Greed is one of the reason.....why people fall to scams
I received calls from Indore with a kindly voice offering me easy access to funds so that I could leverage my portfolio 33 fold. They wanted to discuss my investments so I reply that I too wanted to discuss his (the kindly caller) own personal investments. He said he doesn’t discuss his finances with unknown persons. After that there was a silence and he hung up. Needless to say I regard these phone calls the same as poisonous snakes. It’s a dangerous jungle over there. Social media has become a hydra headed monster

Moneylife should open branches or offices in many parts of india and run a marketting excercise ki - "Agar scam yaa fraud hua hai to hum aapke saath hain". I am sure wealthy investors may put a private protection fund to fight cases against scam players.
In case of Franklin and axis fiasco they didn't bother even if the complaints were in lakhs so how will they take this much smaller issue?

Atleast the RBI is atlast going after banks , when people lost so much money and RBI had its back to the wall.

I hope every individual investor will stay away from stock-market advisors, even if they are SEBI approved.
I have seen these advisor giving both Buy and Sell orders at a time to same stock to different advisors. Whoever books profit will give 20% of profit amount, even though that client would have given advisory subscription amount.
They even pre-buy/sell stocks before suggesting the same to it's clients.
All this on expense of it's clients money. Complete scam.
