Lloyds content is currently lower "quality“ in terms of tech, props etc. than the top asmr channels, but the heart and effort put into his videos is greater than in most I’ve seen and keeps me coming back! I hope you can keep improving, especially on the technical side and make more amazing content for years
I watch any Steve video that comes out. It's an understatement to say that he's eaten a lot of really weird and really old stuff. It's fascinating how he hasn't gotten sick from most of it - cept one really bad Chinese pork noodle one where the pork was green and he ate it anyway lol. His recent Ukraine MRE video was really nice to watch.
My boyfriend loves the way he says “let’s get this all out onto the tray” lmao his videos are impressive. I like when he tries stuff from the early 1900s. And he still has the balls to eat some of it. It’s insane to me
@@hexxgirlx666 Yeh. The interesting thing about them is that they're stored just right, they might not be very high in quality or flavor, but they're still technically safe to eat. A lot of shelf-stable food is that way, though obviously I wouldn't recommend trying to eat hundred year old fruit or something just cuz of that.

I once bought a nam era pilot emergency bailout kit that still had all 6 alertness pills, which is a rare find. I also bought a nam era c ration that came with a pack of 4 Salem 100’s. They were so strong that halfway through one cig I had to sit down. Lloyd, I’ll buy you a c rat and ship it to the P.O. Box if you promise to smoke one of the vintage cigarettes and tell us how strong it is

Got to admit when I got shipped out I wasn't looking for food when I got my MREs out in the field I was happy to have... depending on the time of day. Either a hot cup of freedom juice or let it sit for an hour or two and get twice the caffeine out of it.
I deeply appreciate these simple, gentle and straightforward videos that have a relatively natural energy to them. I don’t enjoy overproduced and super involved ASMR videos with repeating sounds etc - no hate on them but they just don’t work for me personally - so finding this video for me is a treasure.
Brings back memories. Crumble the crackers. Mix the cocoa powder, sugar and creamer with some water to make like a pudding. Combine the crumbled crackers. Tasty.
I remember eating an MRE at the hangar my dad worked in when I was a kid. Turkey in gravy with mashed potatoes. When I was enlisted I really liked sloppy joe, chili with beans, or chili mac.
The cornbread and combos that come with the chili with beans are top-tier. Stuff was like currency at JRTC. “Hey man, you got any cigarettes?” “What’s in it for me?” Lol
He’s looking at the food like “Which one of these is going to give me food poisoning”, which is quite understandable considering the food is almost 30 years old, even if it’s an MRE. This MRE was made the same year I was born. I was chanting "please don't eat that" up until you actually started to. I'm glad you lived. Imagine eating food you got at an antique store! I'll be very interested to see the international ones. Maybe some of those won't be old enough that their car insurance is cheap.

I remember when these first came out. About mid 90’s. I can tell “Nadac?”was looking for an new way to heat the mre. Soon after no more tabasco than tea was added added and if I remember correctly could be wrong one of the first main meals that was taken out was the ham slice. Great channel.
Some advice. Leave the crackers in the package. They are not stale that is how they come. While in the package grind them up as fine as you can. Heat up or not the main meal, I never did. Two ways you can go. Take part of your orange drink open your main meal a long the side and put some In with sauger packet, and if you want creamer. Mix and add your crushed crackers and mix. It will taste like some type of chicken teriyaki Or I’m to lazy for all that I just crushed the crackers tried to trade for more tabasco mix and choke it down Save all condiments to be used with other mre meals. You should try to find the five fingers of death. Hot dogs.

Fold the heater over itself and then stuff it and the meal back in the box tilted against something and let it do its thing. I'll never forget in basic the DI's eating the candies from theirs after we all handed in ours. When he asked what the candies were we all screamed CONTRABAND!!!! He said while laughing NOOOOOO!!!!!! IT IS PART OF YOUR MEAL!!!!! YOU WERE ALLOWED!!!! Then walked down the line chuckling. Not gonna lie, I still miss the chicken stew when the new ones came out(new to us) crush up your crackers, heat up the stew, hold the pouch sideways and cut long ways, mix in your tobasco, throw in the crackers and stir. Good meal when you were in the field.

1980s and early 90s did not come with a heater so it is mid to late 90s or older I only ever saw 1 heater and it came separately over in Desert Storm . I got out in 93 so definitely older than 93
The low tech quality is why we love asmr. At least for me. It's once the artist hits like, 100k+ and start upgrading that the actual quality goes downhill. However they get views and money, so I hope he goes whichever way helps him the most.
